  • "Great location, private free parking and I love the patio! I had the peach punch cocktail. It was a little sweet so I added soda water to it, then it was perfect. My husband had a watermelon cocktail which I thought was a little strong but he liked it. I had a watermelon salad which is HUGE, but delicious. I had also ordered an appetizer of fried mac and cheese bites. I did not need those. They also have a kids menu. We'll definitely return here."

  • "We had such a fabulous time at Boneyard. Our niece was in town from SF and we thought we'd try a new restaurant. So pleasantly surprised. The attention by the wait staff and special attention by the chef Jason. I'm so glad he recommended the bacon wrapped duck meatloaf.....wonderful. The green fried tomatoes were awesome as well as the special vegetarian dish Jason made up for my niece who's a vegetarian. Try the waffles and fried chicken great plus the greens were so good. Does remind of dishes I've had in the south. We will be back for sure. And eat outside so nic."

'Though not as many people showed up as had pledged (weather outside was delightful and distractions were aplenty), we were still seated and served and attended to with enthusiasm. The inside of the place is different than you might expect from the outside, but in a good way; the name and graffiti-like exterior led me to expect a bit more edge, and the interior and personality is a lot more comfortable. The food is delicious, the service very friendly and prompt. Everything's got a little kick to it, or a little twist. We ended up not trying the chicken and waffles, but that just gives another reason to return."

  • "Moving to Minnesota from the south, I was excited to try Boneyard - southern cuisine seems to be lacking in the area. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the food I had during their brunch. It seemed like they were trying very hard to come up with unique and interesting twists on some traditional southern dishes, but they didn't have the original dishes well-tuned yet. The fried chicken and waffles were not good, and the chicken was more like simple chicken strips from any old chain, rather than good quality fried chicken. The steak and eggs were also pretty disappointing...the steak had a bitter after taste I don't think it should have. Fried green tomatoes, which I normally love, soggy and a disappointment."

  • "After recently returning from GA, where our son attends college, and being from the south myself, our group knows the style of food offered on the Boneyard menu, so expectations were high. Unfortunately, out of five diners in our party, no one left completely happy. There were two orders of chicken and waffles, which were good, but there was no syrup, the staff brought one person gravy, but the second order had no gravy. As for the other orders, there was a rock hard poached egg on one of the benedicts; the biscuits for another diner were inedible; and creamy grits were topped with a gross curry oil. A final negative was the inconsistent wait service. On the upside, the killer cornbread was YUM. The chicken was incredible."

It was our first time there so she made some very good suggestions such as the "Killer" cornbread. We also tried the fried green tomatoes (which was served with a great dipping sauce) and the mac n cheese. The parking lot was not yet open but it looks like they are going to have a small lot."

Hot tea was pricey at 4.00 for a tea bag and a small cup if water, no honey, or lemons. Will most likely not return, this is a resturant for alcohol, and apps, loud place!"

PROS: Friendly hospitable staff, perfect BRISKET, phenominal WINTER SUCCOTASH, great biscuits, good ribs, wonderful baked beans, fluffy crab hush puppies and cute decor. CONS: $6.00 forced valet, LOUD atmosphere (found ourselves yelling and the waitstaff too) and the pulled pork was flavorless and disappointing. I do recommend this restaurant. We will be back and have already identified other items that we would try (chkn'n'waffles, shrimp po' boy) ... in addition to ordering the brisket and succotash once again."

  • "Drinks are extremely small and all ice; when we asked for less ice we were told it was the restaurant policy (we just wanted a little more soda and less ice). The main entree was luke warm when it came out (we were not brought new plates or silverware-or BBQ sauce). The brisket was so tough we couldn't cut through it with a butter knife. When it came to desert the restaurant was out of most choices. At one point the manager set up a table, near the tables where different groups of people were eating, for a group of 4 smokers because it was raining out. We were disappointed in the whole experience and there was nothing that indicated it was just an off night."

  • "The manager warned us to be careful with our deep fried Mac and cheese because we could get burned, but they were cold in the middle. The dinner came too fast, we were still having salad. The waffles were dry as were the chicken strips and the white meat of the fried chicken dinner was charcoal on the outside and dry on the inside. They cleared us out so fast we were done in 45 minutes and had hoped to have had a fun and relaxing dinner experience."

  • "The Boneyard space has something for everyone - indoor restaurant seating, a large bar area and an good sized outdoor patio with high tops, tables and the occasional couch! Diverse diners - couples, groups and families. Menu is southern-focused - po boys, fried chicken, shrimp and grits and pork featured heavily along with sides of grits and hush puppies setting the tone. Plates are on the large side and prices are on the higher side of moderate. Service was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of larger groups when we were there - fun spot for drinks and appetizers! Only slight downside - smoking is allowed on the patio and enough people were taking advantage that it made our dining experience a bit less pleasant."

  • "The food was excellent - lovely ribs and pulled pork, and delicious fried chicken. Portions were enormous! Dessert (peach cobbler and apple pie) were good, but not fabulous. Service was friendly but not terribly speedy - dessert in particular took a long time to arrive. Noise level was very high - would like to try eating outside next time to avoid some of the need to shout at each other."

  • "The perfect place if you're into shouting and paying more to sit 3 ft from the bar. The atmosphere was very edgy and energetic, but the building lacks sound control. We couldn't even hear our friends who were sitting across the table. The food is good, but the happy hour prices are not available in the dining area. We had a large group and we probably would have spent more if we were able to participate in the happy hour. "

  • "We went for dinner and had the pulled pork platter and the salmon dish. Both were wonderful. Salmon cooked perfectly and the added kale, shrimp and sauce were outstanding. Much of the food reminded us of the excellent pulled pork from the south. We'll go back and have to try something different, or "maybe" the same!"
