  • "A friend recommended this place and I am thankful for that! Great food, wonerful service plus valet parking for $4.50...what more can you ask for. The cole slaw is out of this world and the ribs, tri tip and chicken were well cooked and very tasty. Even though they were busy there was no push to turn a table and the waitress was great. Great palce for a family get together, group of friends or just a couple. WILL go back!"

  • "Great restaurant. We have been several times and it never fails to disappoint. We shared a sampler of the pork, brisket and st. louis style ribs. I always forget how phenomenal the brisket is. I'm usually not a big brisket fan, but this is to die for! Service is always decent, and above par for compared to other restaurants in the area."

  • "Came here with my mom & my man! We already adore this place, but my mom & I are newly gluten free due to a suspected allergy and I was unbelievably happy with all the things we could still have! Thank you!!! <3"

  • "This is by far the best BBQ I have had in Los Angeles. I'm a native LA girl and it's not easy finding a great BBQ restaurant with such amazing food. Great appetizers and excellent BBQ and I love that you can order dry rub or wet! Kind of loud and hard to hear if you are with friends and want to talk."

  • "My husband and I are big meat eaters, and we love this restaurant. It's barbecue, but gourmet barbecue - the sauces are interesting, the meat (and there are many different choices) top quality. My only complaint (and it's silly, I know), is that the portions of vegetables that come with the delectable main [meat] dishes are small. The servers are always friendly and helpful. Their cole slaw is wonderfully fresh tasting; the baked beans are delicious. They kindly let me have brocollini instead of collard greens or mustard greens (which I hate) that came with the special pork tenderloin. (And I would happily have had more of it.) Great beer selection. As always, we were too full for dessert, but they sounded fantastic."

  • "My party of 9 loved their food and drinks. The menu was well rounded and the food was a hit. The service, however, left some things to be desired. Our server was sweet if a bit aloof and the bidders were excellent, but or hostess had an extremely sour attitude. I have encountered this hostess before at The Boneyard and she seems to hate her life. One of my dining companions even commented on how service has worsened, but the food is still very good. We came because it was close to a play we were seeing and I would most likely return, but would hope to have a different hostess who actually likes or at least doesn't hate interacting with customers."

  • "i've been here many times. It's typically my go-to place when I have a friend come in from out of town."

  • "The food is always good at Boneyard. While it definitely is pricey for BBQ, the beer selection and quality make it well worth it. Our waiter was extremely friendly and recommended an excellent coffee stout that is probably the best we ever had. Super nice and great food. Can't beat that."

  • "Great BBQ! Best beef ribs I have ever tasted. Loved the friend mac n cheese. Really fun! Had to wait almost half an hour with a 9:00 pm reservation, but fun bar with awesome beer selection kept us happy."

  • "Took the hubby out to BB to celebrate Valentine's Day. We had never been, but we both love barbecue so I figured we'd give it a shot. So glad that we did. Boneyard Bistro was delicious! Great atmosphere, service was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. The ribs and pulled pork were my favorites. My husband also liked the tri-tip. The collard greens were delish, as were the baked beans (and I'm not a baked beans kind of girl). The fried mac & cheese was only so-so. Probably wouldn't order it again. We finished off with the bread pudding for dessert. Yum! The portions were very generous (only was able to eat half of my order). We will definitely be returning, and will probably bring our little girl! Very family-friendly!"

  • "First time at this restaurant for GNO aka Girls' Night Out and they have an EXTENSIVE alcohol list notably whiskey, lots of beers on tap and bottle, and wine list. If you like to drink in a gastropub setting that serves BBQ then this is the place for you. Our group shared the Bacon Sticks and Pork Belly Filipino Salad appetizers to start the meal and both were pretty good. The complimentary bread basket is amazing especially the mini cornbread muffins. I had the Brisket Quesadilla and WOW! Most definitely recommend this item. The only major downfall is the expensive price for BBQ but I get the location is on Ventura Blvd so not surprised. Plus the service was just fair."

  • "The ribeyes are absolutely excellent, especially when they have the tomahawks on the menu. The fried chicken special on Monday nights are the best. The last Wednesday of every month has an excellent seafood display that is the best in town."

  • "I selected Boneyard Bistro to have dinner with some friends we hadn't seen in some time. Our server was very friendly and informative with specialty drinks and dinner specials. Booth seating was very cramped and uncomfortable. Noise level acceptable. The BBQ was ok. I've made better BBQ at home. The best thing on the plate was the fried Mac n' Cheese. Delish!! I probably would not go back."

  • "This place is a great find! Delicious appetizers, amazing BBQ and awesome service! We ordered a few items so that we could try a range and everything was delicious! I will definitely be going back to this restaurant and I will recommend it to friends!"

  • "My favorite item on their menu is their burgers. Although a bit pricey, they are delicious. We've since discovered their wine night specials on Tuesday's and plan to come back regularly for a delicious burger and a bottle of wine!"

  • "This restaurant was suggested to us by a friend and it was amazing for a date night. The food was great the meat was savory. The waiters were excellent, kind, and caring. I loved everything about this place."

  • "Great and attentive staff, from the hostess, to servers and bussers. We really enjoyed the patio area and were pleased by the decor and ambiance. We ordered the brisket, smoked chicken, tri-tip and pulled pork. We agreed that the brisket outshined them all. Wasn't too crazy about the fried mac and cheese. Would've loved a regular mac and cheese option. Had the brownie sundae dessert and it was underwhelming for the cost and served in a martini-style glass that made it difficult to eat. We will definitely return again as it is a short walk from home with unforgettable beef brisket."

  • "Some of the greatest BBQ I have had in Sherman Oaks. It has a great bar if you want to watch sports or just hang out. Service is great and quick. The waiters are on top of every need and do not rush you to leave. A place I would keep on my list to returning to."

  • "I have been going to the Boneyard for years, and I think they have the best burgers in LA. But I sometimes look longingly at the plates of other diners who had the barbecue, and I finally tried it. I'm sticking with the burgers. I had a combo of beef ribs and tri-tip. The tri-tip was lean and moist, but had no real flavor -- just generic rare meat. The ribs were highly charred, and served dry. I was not asked whether I wanted them dry, wet, or with a glaze. They were pretty lean, but disappointing. They sort of had a "pot roast" flavor that I don't associate with barbecue. The server was friendly, but really slow. All in all, not a great night for the normally first-rate Boneyard."

  • "After we were seated on the east side of the restaurant our waitress came by and told us about the specials (and then must have been abducted by aliens) --I walked over to the bar side to see if I could find her. I never saw her again, but found a cozy spot for two at the bar. We moved and got excellent service along with excellent drinks and food. Head to the west side of the restaurant for a more intimate and fun evening."

  • "Great BBQ. Great beer selection. Not cheap, but worth the price. You will not go home hungry, I guarantee it. I would highly recommend going before 6:30, any later and you will be in the rush."

  • "Boneyard is a place we go to often. They have a great tap beer selection. This is so important to my husband. We also really enjoy their food. BBQ is great as well as their gastropub menu. The seafood boil they have the last Wed. of every month in the warm months is a real treat! We will be there the for the last one of 2013 Oct 30. They also have a great staff that almost make sure we are well taken care of. Thank you to everyone at Bonyard Bistro!!!!"

  • "Beer selection was excellent. Bartenders very knowledgable and make good drinks. Food overall is good but was disappointed with the baby back ribs. Ribs were tough and there was too much smoke flavor which was over powering the taste of the meat."

  • "Can never quite understand how BBQ is always so expensive, but it is. At least here at Boneyard Bistro, the food is really good. Spicy items are actually spicy. Interesting twists on standards like pulled pork dumplings. Could actually find some healthier options like blackened catfish. Great."
