Bondir restaurantDelightfulThe attention to the customers, the generosity of the chef with it's food proportions and constant flow of one dish to another was delighful. I felt like I was cared for because the chef wanted me to enjoy his cooking skills making our meal last for almost two hours. From the moment we sat down our taste buds were engaged with all manner of gorgeous, carefully crafted delights. The 2 hour low temp poached pullet egg was a highlight -- served with white asparagus among other things. Bondir is a very special place for a special occasion. It's not cheap, but worth it for people who appreciate what's possible in the kitchen.

Offered us quite a few complimentary items and gave thorough explanations of the menu and our choices. The food was outstanding. Quite honestly some of the best I've had in my life. I would say our appetizers (poached egg and pork belly) were the highlight of the meal. The entree were great too. Hard to give food suggestions as the menu changes daily.

Outstanding presentation of dishes in an ambiance which is warm and inspired. The small size is conducive to a friendly atmosphere, but creates difficulties in obtaining reservations. Limited but highly screened wine list.
New 4 course menu is welcomed though quite high in price.
Highly efficient, knowledgeable and unobtrusive service.

The food was outstanding. Literally, there was nothing on the plate that wasn't purposefully there to add to your experience. Perfect portion sizes too. We left feeling totally satisfied, but not overly indulgent. We had the tart for desert and it was the most amazing thing I have ever tasted. My husband had the "Yellowfoot Duxelle Agnolotti, Cotechino, Italian Summer Truffle, Mousseron Mushroom, Fiore Sardo, Green Almond Pesto, Asparagus." He has thought about that dish, specifically the sausage, about 20 times a day since we ate there.

The menu changes each night and the ingredients are combined into beautiful dishes that are also crazy delicious. Any dish can be ordered in appetizer or main course size and the restaurant recommends 3 smalls or a small and a large. The waiter was very knowledgable about the menu which helped a lot because we had never heard of some of the ingredients. When one of my husband's dishes seemed not to be warm enough the chef remade it rather than reheating and comped him the dish. It was my birthday but I don't eat sweets so they created a cheese and fruit dessert that was not on the menu. The food is really excellent with some very creative combinations. A very few dishes didn't really work for me, but others I'll remember for a very long time especially the chestnut tart and the lentil dish. The food was amazing- vibrant, unique flavors and ingredients. You can order all entrees as half portions in order to taste more. My boyfriend and I ordered 5 and shared (they recommend 3 half portions per person to be full) and each dish was delectable. T an amazing restaurant ! Sophisticated and friendly
staff , warm and cozy environment, And an eclectic menu. The cooking is superb reminiscent of fine small restaurants in Europe.
