  • "Bondirs in concord has been open 8 or9 months now. But wow how is it possible that a restaurant with good food be be just that much better! Flavor combinations are outstanding and while a smaller wine list they are well chosen. We live in concord and are very pleased to have this little gem in our neighborhood. We had the best time. Thanks team!"

  • "The food was good. However, things were really not working in the kitchen. The entrees took a very long time to come, with mine coming about an hour after my wife's, and even her's had been a long time....so we essentially ate separately...not the idea. They did drop off an unwanted different meal (fish not beef) in the meantime. So despite good food a negative experience. We are patient and flexible but this was out of bounds."

  • "The food was unusual, fresh, and exquisite. Presentation was a work of art. Bondir offers half-portions, but be warned, they are truly tiny. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the inability to converse at a normal voice level and hear each other speak (hence the "fair" ambience rating). The acoustics are poor in the larger room: Bondir, please consider some acoustic retro-fitting. And we had asked for a quiet table!"

  • "Bondir has one of the most interesting menus I've ever seen and I eat in a lot of fine dining restaurants in Boston, NY, DC and more. Interesting in how flavors are combined, how the food is prepared and served. The staff is very knowledgable and they seem genuinely engaged in what Bondir is doing. Please go and make sure they stay in business!"

  • "This was our second trip to Bondir and it was for my girl friends birthday. The food, service and ambiance were awesome. I ordered a birthday cake in advance and it was amazing!"

  • "If you want to try unusual foods bursting with subtle flavors, this is the restaurant for you. Portions are small, but I recommend getting several half portions which are like small plates and sharing. Everything was amazing. A perfect place to celebrate."

  • "First time at Bondir- Everything was first rate and well done- Great service. Perfect salad, appetizer, bread is out of this world...but the entrees were frankly the most mediocre part of the meal. Would go once again to give the entrees one more chance!"

  • "It was our first time at Bondir after a recommendation from a friend, and it did not disappoint. The service was fantastic. Our server was very helpful in explaining the menu and in answering questions about the dishes. We ordered a few starters, one being the salad of chicories and lettuce. It was wonderful. We ordered the flat iron beef, which was mouth watering and the chicken for our mains. The chicken was delicious as well. We will definitely be back!"

  • "On this occasion, the noise level was moderate--but we ate at 5:45. On another occasion, at a more customary dinner hour, it was definitely energetic. What we enjoy most about Bondir, on each occasion, is how extremely interesting the food is; mostly also very good, but always interesting."

  • "We have eaten at Bondir Concord many times before and while we do eat out at other places, both locally and in our travels, Bondir continues to be the place that we come back to like travelers reaching an oasis. Without fail, we receive a warm and sincere welcome back from every single one of the very exceptional people who work here. The ambiance is warm and cozy and special. The food is surprising and considered and beautiful and delicious. I have to admit that we are having rather a difficult time eating anywhere else, as no place else compares. Plus, now they serve lunch and from my one visit, it doesn't get any better."

  • "The menu is small, but had good selections for everyone in our party (vegetarians, picky eaters). What really sold it was the server, Will, who was friendly and informative. He explained the locally-sourced theme without sounding snobby. He also did a great job of explaining more obscure ingredients, like calaloo. The location was really nice too, a quick drive from Boston, plenty of street parking. Definitely going back!"

  • "A very sweet place, and a nice menu with two sizes systematically offered. It allows to taste more dishes!"

  • "Having been to the Cambridge location a few times I was curious to try the Concord restaurant. The hostess was excellent. The ambiance is charming. The food and wine were outstanding. Our service was really poor for a restaurant of this caliber. He was charming in the beginning but never once came back to check on our meal, or ask if we wanted another glass of wine - which we did. Luckily some of the other staff were a bit more attentive and we flagged them down a few times to ask for more water, another round of drinks and eventually the check."

  • "While my husband and I appreciate fine dining, we felt this restaurant was trying too hard to be sophisticated. We eat out quite a bit, and yet there were many items on the menu that were difficult to decipher. Menu items are available in full or half portions to enable you to sample numerous things. That sounds good, but frankly the "full" portions were very small - it's hard to imagine what a half portion would look like. But most disappointing was the fact that the dishes just weren't that flavorful. Just not as good as L'Andana, Rialto, Oleana, and others in the same category and price range."

  • "We were fortunate to have reason to dine at Bondir in Concord twice in one week - different wait person, somewhat different menu, same great food/service/wine. An outstanding gustatory experience each time. Hope to return soon!"

  • "My husband and I had dinner at Bondir this past Monday evening and everything was wonderful. The food was so good, we shared small portions of 5 dishes: the Handmade Burrata, the Sweet Corn Flan, the Barley Flour Agnolotti, the Poached Duck Egg and the Seared Scituate Cod. Each dish was delicious, and the homemade sourdough bread was amazing too. We will definitely go back, highly recommend."

  • "We went for the Monday family dinner, but the regular menu was offered as well. I stuck with the original plan, while my wife couldn't resist the temptation to venture into a la carte territory. My roast chicken was super moist & flavorful, the accompanying mashed spuds exceedingly succulent. Zucchini slices, lightly breaded in flour & flash fried, were crunchy tender & stayed hot a really long time. The salad of greens & radishes, & dessert of hazelnut cake, were delicious. For a family meal, a highly satisfying experience. I wouldn't expect a family meal to exhibit the same culinary creativity as the regular menu. I was allowed a bite of my wife's pappardelle with pork belly (sorta deconstructed), & seared cod (half portions) - both VG."

  • "My husband and I dined at Bondir to celebrate a special anniversary. Everything was wonderful! Food was unique and delicious as well as beautifully prepared and presented. I especially enjoyed the choice of half portions so we could order more than one dish and sample the many flavors. Not a huge wine list but I was thrilled with our selection. Our server was knowledgeable and professional yet warm and welcoming. The staff made our experience memorable from start to finish!"

  • "The stars say it all - service, food, wine, ambience - awesomely good! Our excellent wait person, whose name I'm not sure of, enhanced the entire experience with his knowledge, caring, efficiency and quiet/quirky sense of humor. The occasion was a birthday celebration - and we celebrated our choice of restaurant as well!"

  • "Best meal in many years. Reasonable price ($126 w/o tip) for 5 half plates (two people) plus dessert/coffee and two glasses wine. Well paced between plates. Smaller portions, but both of us were surely full! Excellent service."

  • "When we arrived for our 6:30 dinner reservation there were plenty of open tables but we were seated along a crowded banquette where it was very noisy (many tables still open when we left). The food was good but ordering it was an ordeal. The portions are in 2 tiers according to weight (and price) and the weights are very precise. The waitress was knowledgable about the weights (eg. fish comes in 3 ozs or 6 ozs, etc.) but it became a very odd way to order. We knew we wanted a light meal, but she seemed to think she should keep reminding us of how much weight we were ordering, encouraging us to order more. I honestly don't think of food in terms of ounces, and it all started to feel like a tacky way to present food in a fine restaurant."

  • "food remains consistently good and priced right. it was disappointing however that in the peak tomato and corn season that there was minimal use of these local ingredients when we dined on July 26"

  • "Both Bondir, Cambridge and Concord, are amazing dining experiences. I've been to both restaurants a number of times and have brought family and friends because I think that it is such a special dining experience. The food is intriguing, unique and amazing. The ambience is lovely; you feel like you are transported to a special place. And the servers are knowledgeable, friendly and intuitive. I highly recommend both restaurants. Go see for yourself! But make reservations as the word is out and they often book at least a week or two in advance."

  • "I had tried Bondir for the first time taking a good friend who was retiring from the National Park Service in Concord. I wanted to give her a great "thank you" by taking her to a place for lunch that was just a cut above the other local restaurants. And Bondir did not disappoint. Both of us enjoyed our lunch -- which was unique and scrumptious. I'll have to make arrangements for dinner. Should be exciting."

  • "We were excited to try Bondir in Concord for my 65th birthday celebration with a pair of good friends. Told the restaurant in advance that this was a special occasion and asked for a quiet table. The table was nice and quiet. But there was no acknowledgment of the special occasion. Also, sadly, the waitress seemed in a hurry to take our orders, appearing several times before we'd even been served our drinks. The food was interesting--too much herbal additions for my taste--and nothing was delicious. Overall, I felt that when you choose a restaurant to celebrate a special event, the restaurant that wants your return business will acknowledge it."

  • "We've eaten at Bondir several times, and I think it just keeps getting better. This time was Sunday night, so while busy the restaurant was not packed -- and that may help the overall experience. Everything was delicious, and the service was very good. My personal preference is to not order too many things - the flavors are complex so it's better to focus on fewer of the dishes, even though I love the 1/2 plate option. It is expensive but in my experience definitely worth it. Highly recommend."

  • "The flavors combined in each dish were exquisite. The cold squash soup. The tartine potager. Carrot sorbet with the carrot cake was, so to speak, the icing on top. I'd order that carrot sorbet on its own. And the Hester Prynne cocktail was refreshing. A very special place, with great food and attentive staff. I wish I lived in Concord, I'd be there every day."

  • "Very disappointed in what should be a welcome addition to local restaurants. Complicated and impossible to decipher menu requires explanation by server. Presentation is unique. Food was bland. Overall the entire experience wasn't worth the time or money. Too bad the message of sustainable food doesn't translate to its customer…..won't be able to sustain this model in the long run. Comes off as "trendy" rather than classic."

  • "We dined on a Monday night to take advantage of the Family Style meal at a prix fixe. Although the quality of the food was excellent, the portions were miniscule in size. This did not resemble any family that we know. This was not value for the price in our opinion. We don't expect to return."

  • "When you put something in your mouth, you always hope for ' oh my god' this is incredible. That happened for us recently at L'Andana and Oleana. Although, I would point out the experience is fairly rare. This is our second experience at Bondir. We were quite 'satisfied' and will return"

  • "Food was delicious and eclectic. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff was extremely attentive. Most entrees also come as half plates which was nice. Bondir is a very welcomed addition to the dining scene in Concord. One note - prices are high."

  • "My husband and I found this gem by just walking by. Food and menu are eclectic, meaning delicious and unique. Portions are smallish for husband. (lunch). I took girlfriends back and perfect for them, all want to return. Bringing another group next week. Had the Ploughmsn's lunch, very different and good. Hamburger lunch was delicious and would have been a good choice for my husband if it had been offered that day. Candy dish at the end of the meal is a wonderful finish. My cuppacino was good, but tepid."
