  • "When you put something in your mouth, you always hope for ' oh my god' this is incredible. That happened for us recently at L'Andana and Oleana. Although, I would point out the experience is fairly rare. This is our second experience at Bondir. We were quite 'satisfied' and will return"

  • "The menu is a a wonderful change of pace. Some of the items will require a quick search on your smart phone, but the food is fabulous."

  • "Bondir had been highly recommended and by the amount of people in the restaurant, it seems to be quite popular. The food was not to our liking. It was an eclectic menu and not to our taste."

  • "Food was delicious and eclectic. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff was extremely attentive. Most entrees also come as half plates which was nice. Bondir is a very welcomed addition to the dining scene in Concord. One note - prices are high."

  • "My husband and I found this gem by just walking by. Food and menu are eclectic, meaning delicious and unique. Portions are smallish for husband. (lunch). I took girlfriends back and perfect for them, all want to return. Bringing another group next week. Had the Ploughmsn's lunch, very different and good. Hamburger lunch was delicious and would have been a good choice for my husband if it had been offered that day. Candy dish at the end of the meal is a wonderful finish. My cuppacino was good, but tepid."

  • "Food combinations are very interesting- some have said a little 'contrived", but I think they are creative, imaginative, and use a lot of local farms as sources. Nice atmosphere- not rushed- interesting specialty drink list. waiter/waitress very good, at two visits, explaining food . I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has an open mind about trying different-sounding foods that, in fact, were not weird or exotic."

  • "We were celebrating my husbands birthday and had a very pleasant evening. Our food choices proved very interesting and flavorful. Service was very pleasant and timely. We enjoyed the full and half plate option for all the menu offerings. Ideal parking location!!!!!"

  • "Very, very good but... Only downside are the portions. My husband left hungry and I saw others ordering more small dishes after there main courses or they thought.... Don't go hungry!!"

  • "We have dinner before here and it was absolutelt perfect. This was the first time for lunch. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We made it a day in Concord. Shopped, browsed the antique stores and visited the Louisa May Alcott House. What a great way to spend a glorious summer day."

  • " I looked forward to my second visit to Bondir, with their attention to detail from table decor to butter dish to the unique, individual style of all the staff. Like a performance, the restaurant itself as backdrop to the table as stage, presenting the stars that are the dishes themselves I would appreciate the amount on each half plate be increased to include two of everything. Sharers can then experience each ingredient without trying to cut a crouton in half or divide up one perfectly roasted haricot vert. Like going to the theater you are paying for everything that goes into each bite; the farmer who organically grew it, organization of the " backstage" kitchen, the staff that presents. A bit more for my "ticket price", please."

  • "we had my husbands 50 birthday dinner there and it was fantastic. everything was just perfect."

  • "It's a pricy place and it's almost worth it. They offer entrees in half portions which is a great way to sample and share multiple dishes. Their service is very friendly and attentive. We ordered the sweet pea soup, local salad, duck, salmon and agnolotti. The soup, salad and duck were quite good. The salmon, while good was also pretty forgettable. The agnolotti was completely bland. For the prices, I'd expect everything to be amazing. The restaurant was surprisingly very loud despite it not being very full. My girlfriend and I had a hard time hearing each other for the first half of the meal. But 9:30pm, it had thinned out a lot and quieted a lot as well. I would go back but not anytime soon."

  • "Four of us went out for my wife's birthday. The reservation and kitchen staff were excellent. Most of the food was delicious, especially the Sweet Pea Flan, the Salmon, and the Duck. The Agnollotti was ok. The vegetable side dishes were brave, but not very flavourable. The wait staff seemed to have difficulty timing the entrees: first two, then another, then finally the last. Same problem with the coffee: one hot and one cold Latte. They did a wonderful job presenting, and then serving, the cake. We'll try again."

  • "As always, we love the food. My only wish is that the servings were a little bigger - it is so, so nice when you have something special to have a little morsel for lunch the following day as a taste treat. Thank you"

  • "My wife and I dined at this restaurant for our anniversary on a Wednesday evening. I have dined at 100's of restaurants and must say that this experience was probably bottom 2 in my history of dining out. The main problem lies in the poor execution of the main dishes. I had the beef short rib fava bean pappardelle. Every single fava bean was burnt and flipped over so that the unburnt side was facing up. The short rib was tough and inedible and the whole dish was underseasoned. My wife had the duck entrée, portions of which were cooked well and other portions of which were raw. Our appetizers were edible but again underseasoned. The manager was pleasant, apologetic, and congenial. The waiter was also friendly. However, I would never return."

  • "Just enjoyed my first dinner in Bondir, Concord MA. What a great renovation from the previous restaurant. The decor makes you want to linger and look around. The service was very good and the food interesting and beautifully presented. Tasted delicious as well! definitely want to go back and enjoy the welcoming bar as well as the other rooms. Request the front window tables for special dinner."

  • "The food would stand up to almost any restaurant in Boston in terms of taste, presentation and creativity."

  • "We especially enjoyed the half-plates so we could try more things, or have less if we weren't so hungry. It was nice to choose from a menu that had nothing I'd make for us at home. Fun, unexpected, and delicious combinations of food with exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable service."

  • "Bondir is a great place for lunch, too. The quality of the food and the service is the same as it is for dinner. It is not too noisy so you can easily have a luncheon conversation."

  • "Second time at Bondir, and the food was great again. We are very happy to have quality food in Concord, without many other local choices. It's just not practical to go into Boston or Cambridge every time you want to go out. Food is fresh, inventive, and seasonal. Service at the bar was great - at the table, very slow. We sat at the table for a very long time before we met our server. After that, they were quick to get us our wine, but we waited forever for the bread which is part of their food service (and very good). Our server was pleasant enough, and maybe they were overworked that night. We did notice a nearby table get the wrong food orders, so I don't think we were the only ones experiencing oddities. I think it will improve."

  • "This restaurant is nothing special. It's VERY expensive. But you don't get your money worth of this expense. Food was nothing special. For this kind of money I would have expected something really outstanding. Don't get me wrong the food is OK it just not worth this money. The drink was good. The service was fine. But there is something wrong with their AC. We repeatedly kept asking to turn off the cold air that was blowing at us. They did turn it off on several occasions but it would start again after a while. Very annoying. We would not be back"

  • "A welcome addition to the Concord-area restaurants, Bondir provides very good, well-flavored and well-garnished food, in a trendy former-"warehouse" setting. Staff emphasizes stylishness, which is a nice touch. Funky retro dishware is fun to try and identify. Not as expensive as we had been told; two-option portions are a great asset for small (diminishing-with-age) appetites. We loved it and will return, esp. when I do not feel like cooking -- an increasing trend."

  • "Fourth visit since opening. Great combination of ingredients and a very interesting menu. Nicely presented. Incredibly knowledgable waitstaff. Downtown Boston or Cambridge quality in Concord. Highly recommended."

  • "Chef Jason Bond and his team of knowledgeable and personable waitstaff create an experience of the highest caliber. Unusual and completely delicious combinations of top quality ingredients are presented in artful platings available as full or half size offerings. An equally interesting wine list gives adventurous foodies a memorable evening."

  • "the half plate choices are a great way to have a bit of everything. The scallops and the burrata were outstanding. Our waiter was humorous and fun...and clearly a foodie himself! If you want to converse, ask for a booth."

  • "Bondir started serving lunch this spring, and it is as wonderful as dinner there--a good choice of dishes, superbly prepared, friendly and professional service, and a lovely atmosphere. I do wish the noise level could be calmed down."

  • "Jason Bond has done wonders with this space transforming the old Walden Grill's blah dining area into a pleasing, comfortable yet elegant space with a terrific bar, open kitchen, and fireplace. The food is creative, inventive, imaginative and very tasty."

  • "This time we dined at Bondir Concord on a Sunday evening, and it was much quieter than our last visit, which was on a Saturday evening. It was a wonderful dining experience on Sunday, and we plan to return."
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • "Creative and environmentally conscious. The extreme use of adjectives was comical on the menu. This was my first experience there with dinner. Previously ate there for lunch, which seemed less formal and more interesting, and the cost was more reasonable."
    Dined on 6/8/2014
  • "First time lunch experience. Food was very good, but for us, a little overly unique. Seemed like all the items on the menu had something a bit odd that we would hope to substitute with something else. That's just us. The odd leafy vegetable laid atop the nice beef short rib made for a unique, pleasant taste, but it was very difficult to cut and a bit difficult to chew. That was a little disappointing. The rib was extremely tender, but I would have liked to have had au jus or a nice warm sauce to make it more juicy and flavorful. We didn't ask. We'll come again for dinner sometime. Warm and friendly staff."

  • "Food was interesting and well prepared. Portions are very small, especially considering the price. Another reviewer said "eat first!" I would agree..."

  • "I didn't know what to expect after seeing the mixed reviews on this website, but our first time dining at Bondir Concord was fantastic. We went on a Saturday night, so perhaps we caught them when the A team was on. The design of each dish was highly creative, mixing flavors that we never would have thought of. As a result, each mouthful was a delightful surprise. Don't be put off by the way the menus are written - this is the one area where I think this restaurant needs improvement. The menu does not describe the dishes well, so ask your server to describe them further before you choose. We got 3 half portions to share between two of us instead of 2 full entrees in order to sample a wider variety of dishes - that worked out great."

  • "Very fresh produce, meats, fish, and bread so you know it's healthy. But although food was fresh, it lacked some taste - herbs, spice, something to give it kick. Found the server informative, but a bit too much. If you want to know a lot about what you're eating, this is the place for you. If you just want to enjoy, don't ask too many questions because you'll get a lecture."

  • "A dinner out with family - adults and grannie, found the idea of half portions very appealing but the unusual ingredients were met with mixed reviews. Everything was intersting and unusual and the local theme of farm to table is well executed. It all tasted very good for the adults but not for the finicky eaters. "

  • "Smartly re-modeled old building with intermittently gusty, uncomfortable air circulation system. Our waitress gave an unsolicited, patronizing lecture emphasizing the supposedly rare provenance of menu items. Food preparation was good to very good."Large" plates were ridiculously small and over-priced. Mixed drinks were OK but also over-priced. Reservation through Opentable was for inferior rear banquette seating while superior booths went unoccupied throughout our stay. The atmosphere here is one of insecurity and fake sophistication. Will not return. "
