Shopped, browsed the antique stores and visited the Louisa May Alcott House. What a great way to spend a glorious summer day."

  • "It's a pricy place and it's almost worth it. They offer entrees in half portions which is a great way to sample and share multiple dishes. Their service is very friendly and attentive. We ordered the sweet pea soup, local salad, duck, salmon and agnolotti. The soup, salad and duck were quite good. The salmon, while good was also pretty forgettable. The agnolotti was completely bland. For the prices, I'd expect everything to be amazing. The restaurant was surprisingly very loud despite it not being very full. My girlfriend and I had a hard time hearing each other for the first half of the meal. But 9:30pm, it had thinned out a lot and quieted a lot as well. I would go back but not anytime soon."

  • "Four of us went out for my wife's birthday. The reservation and kitchen staff were excellent. Most of the food was delicious, especially the Sweet Pea Flan, the Salmon, and the Duck. The Agnollotti was ok. The vegetable side dishes were brave, but not very flavourable. The wait staff seemed to have difficulty timing the entrees: first two, then another, then finally the last. Same problem with the coffee: one hot and one cold Latte. They did a wonderful job presenting, and then serving, the cake. We'll try again."

  • "My wife and I dined at this restaurant for our anniversary on a Wednesday evening. I have dined at 100's of restaurants and must say that this experience was probably bottom 2 in my history of dining out. The main problem lies in the poor execution of the main dishes. I had the beef short rib fava bean pappardelle. Every single fava bean was burnt and flipped over so that the unburnt side was facing up. The short rib was tough and inedible and the whole dish was underseasoned. My wife had the duck entrée, portions of which were cooked well and other portions of which were raw. Our appetizers were edible but again underseasoned. The manager was pleasant, apologetic, and congenial. The waiter was also friendly. However, I would never return."

The service was very good and the food interesting and beautifully presented. Tasted delicious as well! definitely want to go back and enjoy the welcoming bar as well as the other rooms. Request the front window tables for special dinner."

  • "This restaurant is nothing special. It's VERY expensive. But you don't get your money worth of this expense. Food was nothing special. For this kind of money I would have expected something really outstanding. Don't get me wrong the food is OK it just not worth this money. The drink was good. The service was fine. But there is something wrong with their AC. We repeatedly kept asking to turn off the cold air that was blowing at us. They did turn it off on several occasions but it would start again after a while. Very annoying. We would not be back"

  • "Second time at Bondir, and the food was great again. We are very happy to have quality food in Concord, without many other local choices. It's just not practical to go into Boston or Cambridge every time you want to go out. Food is fresh, inventive, and seasonal. Service at the bar was great - at the table, very slow. We sat at the table for a very long time before we met our server. After that, they were quick to get us our wine, but we waited forever for the bread which is part of their food service (and very good). Our server was pleasant enough, and maybe they were overworked that night. We did notice a nearby table get the wrong food orders, so I don't think we were the only ones experiencing oddities. I think it will improve."

  • "A welcome addition to the Concord-area restaurants, Bondir provides very good, well-flavored and well-garnished food, in a trendy former-"warehouse" setting. Staff emphasizes stylishness, which is a nice touch. Funky retro dishware is fun to try and identify. Not as expensive as we had been told; two-option portions are a great asset for small (diminishing-with-age) appetites. We loved it and will return, esp. when I do not feel like cooking -- an increasing trend."

  • "First time lunch experience. Food was very good, but for us, a little overly unique. Seemed like all the items on the menu had something a bit odd that we would hope to substitute with something else. That's just us. The odd leafy vegetable laid atop the nice beef short rib made for a unique, pleasant taste, but it was very difficult to cut and a bit difficult to chew. That was a little disappointing. The rib was extremely tender, but I would have liked to have had au jus or a nice warm sauce to make it more juicy and flavorful. We didn't ask. We'll come again for dinner sometime. Warm and friendly staff."

  • "I didn't know what to expect after seeing the mixed reviews on this website, but our first time dining at Bondir Concord was fantastic. We went on a Saturday night, so perhaps we caught them when the A team was on. The design of each dish was highly creative, mixing flavors that we never would have thought of. As a result, each mouthful was a delightful surprise. Don't be put off by the way the menus are written - this is the one area where I think this restaurant needs improvement. The menu does not describe the dishes well, so ask your server to describe them further before you choose. We got 3 half portions to share between two of us instead of 2 full entrees in order to sample a wider variety of dishes - that worked out great."

Our waitress gave an unsolicited, patronizing lecture emphasizing the supposedly rare provenance of menu items. Food preparation was good to very good."Large" plates were ridiculously small and over-priced. Mixed drinks were OK but also over-priced. Reservation through Opentable was for inferior rear banquette seating while superior booths went unoccupied throughout our stay. The atmosphere here is one of insecurity and fake sophistication. Will not return. "

  • "I have dined at Bondir twice now, and am even more impressed than the first time. I have a need to keep a gluten-free diet, and eating at a restaurant that caters to this is always welcome. The Chef at Bondir has gone beyond the call of duty here. Most of his entrees are naturally gluten-free, and he makes the most wonderful gluten-free bread I have ever eaten. When I asked him about it, he said he spent 2 years perfecting the recipe, which includes ground flax and chia seeds, and includes no gums or agar. The texture is amazing, the flavor is full, and it has a slight tang like a mild sourdough. The rest of the meal was fantastic as well, but the bread was simply amazing. "

Bread is cold. Desserts very good and innovative. Service was all right but our server a bit cool, and generally, we felt we were cooly received. Would have liked a little more warmth toward us in particular. Might go back, and, might not. Will hope for a better next time."
