Bondir Restaurant is located in historic Concord, Massachusetts. Menus showcase the pastoral and marine bounty of our New England region and offer a finely curated selection of American and European wines and beers. Chef/Owner Jason Bond has spent more than 20 years refining his technique and style, and has developed a simple philosophy of quality and care. Our offerings–vegetables picked the same day, fish hours out of the ocean, pasture-raised meats–will change daily, and will always be tasteful in preparation and presentation.

  • "Very disappointed in what should be a welcome addition to local restaurants. Complicated and impossible to decipher menu requires explanation by server. Presentation is unique. Food was bland. Overall the entire experience wasn't worth the time or money. Too bad the message of sustainable food doesn't translate to its customer…..won't be able to sustain this model in the long run. Comes off as "trendy" rather than classic."

  • "We dined on a Monday night to take advantage of the Family Style meal at a prix fixe. Although the quality of the food was excellent, the portions were miniscule in size. This did not resemble any family that we know. This was not value for the price in our opinion. We don't expect to return."

  • "My husband and I found this gem by just walking by. Food and menu are eclectic, meaning delicious and unique. Portions are smallish for husband. (lunch). I took girlfriends back and perfect for them, all want to return. Bringing another group next week. Had the Ploughmsn's lunch, very different and good. Hamburger lunch was delicious and would have been a good choice for my husband if it had been offered that day. Candy dish at the end of the meal is a wonderful finish. My cuppacino was good, but tepid."

  • "Food combinations are very interesting- some have said a little 'contrived", but I think they are creative, imaginative, and use a lot of local farms as sources. Nice atmosphere- not rushed- interesting specialty drink list. waiter/waitress very good, at two visits, explaining food . I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has an open mind about trying different-sounding foods that, in fact, were not weird or exotic."

  • "We have dinner before here and it was absolutelt perfect. This was the first time for lunch. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We made it a day in Concord. Shopped, browsed the antique stores and visited the Louisa May Alcott House. What a great way to spend a glorious summer day."

  • " I looked forward to my second visit to Bondir, with their attention to detail from table decor to butter dish to the unique, individual style of all the staff. Like a performance, the restaurant itself as backdrop to the table as stage, presenting the stars that are the dishes themselves I would appreciate the amount on each half plate be increased to include two of everything. Sharers can then experience each ingredient without trying to cut a crouton in half or divide up one perfectly roasted haricot vert. Like going to the theater you are paying for everything that goes into each bite; the farmer who organically grew it, organization of the " backstage" kitchen, the staff that presents. A bit more for my "ticket price", please."

  • "It's a pricy place and it's almost worth it. They offer entrees in half portions which is a great way to sample and share multiple dishes. Their service is very friendly and attentive. We ordered the sweet pea soup, local salad, duck, salmon and agnolotti. The soup, salad and duck were quite good. The salmon, while good was also pretty forgettable. The agnolotti was completely bland. For the prices, I'd expect everything to be amazing. The restaurant was surprisingly very loud despite it not being very full. My girlfriend and I had a hard time hearing each other for the first half of the meal. But 9:30pm, it had thinned out a lot and quieted a lot as well. I would go back but not anytime soon."

  • "Four of us went out for my wife's birthday. The reservation and kitchen staff were excellent. Most of the food was delicious, especially the Sweet Pea Flan, the Salmon, and the Duck. The Agnollotti was ok. The vegetable side dishes were brave, but not very flavourable. The wait staff seemed to have difficulty timing the entrees: first two, then another, then finally the last. Same problem with the coffee: one hot and one cold Latte. They did a wonderful job presenting, and then serving, the cake. We'll try again."

  • "My wife and I dined at this restaurant for our anniversary on a Wednesday evening. I have dined at 100's of restaurants and must say that this experience was probably bottom 2 in my history of dining out. The main problem lies in the poor execution of the main dishes. I had the beef short rib fava bean pappardelle. Every single fava bean was burnt and flipped over so that the unburnt side was facing up. The short rib was tough and inedible and the whole dish was underseasoned. My wife had the duck entrée, portions of which were cooked well and other portions of which were raw. Our appetizers were edible but again underseasoned. The manager was pleasant, apologetic, and congenial. The waiter was also friendly. However, I would never return."

  • "Just enjoyed my first dinner in Bondir, Concord MA. What a great renovation from the previous restaurant. The decor makes you want to linger and look around. The service was very good and the food interesting and beautifully presented. Tasted delicious as well! definitely want to go back and enjoy the welcoming bar as well as the other rooms. Request the front window tables for special dinner."

  • "Second time at Bondir, and the food was great again. We are very happy to have quality food in Concord, without many other local choices. It's just not practical to go into Boston or Cambridge every time you want to go out. Food is fresh, inventive, and seasonal. Service at the bar was great - at the table, very slow. We sat at the table for a very long time before we met our server. After that, they were quick to get us our wine, but we waited forever for the bread which is part of their food service (and very good). Our server was pleasant enough, and maybe they were overworked that night. We did notice a nearby table get the wrong food orders, so I don't think we were the only ones experiencing oddities. I think it will improve."

  • "This restaurant is nothing special. It's VERY expensive. But you don't get your money worth of this expense. Food was nothing special. For this kind of money I would have expected something really outstanding. Don't get me wrong the food is OK it just not worth this money. The drink was good. The service was fine. But there is something wrong with their AC. We repeatedly kept asking to turn off the cold air that was blowing at us. They did turn it off on several occasions but it would start again after a while. Very annoying. We would not be back"

Staff emphasizes stylishness, which is a nice touch. Funky retro dishware is fun to try and identify. Not as expensive as we had been told; two-option portions are a great asset for small (diminishing-with-age) appetites. We loved it and will return, esp. when I do not feel like cooking -- an increasing trend."

Seemed like all the items on the menu had something a bit odd that we would hope to substitute with something else. That's just us. The odd leafy vegetable laid atop the nice beef short rib made for a unique, pleasant taste, but it was very difficult to cut and a bit difficult to chew. That was a little disappointing. The rib was extremely tender, but I would have liked to have had au jus or a nice warm sauce to make it more juicy and flavorful. We didn't ask. We'll come again for dinner sometime. Warm and friendly staff."
