A word from Bond 45
Located in the heart of Times Square and the Theater District, and walking distance to every Broadway show, this landmark eatery treats you like family and offers up perfect steaks, homemade mozzarella and a fabulous antipasto bar.
Bond 45 feels like part of old New York, because it is. The Ziegfeld Follies played on our roof back when the building was the Hammerstein Theater.
The New York Post calls Bond 45 “An Italian steakhouse reincarnation of the old Jack Dempsey’s, which already tastes like a long running hit, and Hal Rubenstein of New York Magazine says it: ”Treats [you] like family while executing home-style cooking as solid as my mom’s."

The service was great and so was the food. My husband usually complains about over-cooked meat, but not here. Perfectly red in the middle. Only minus, not much to drink for a pregnant guest.

Small very expensive pizza which was just OK and the worst pasta with clams in my life. The sauce was in edible, so I only ate the fresh clams. Great space that has fallen on bad times, the kitchen needs a complete change. Good service

The food was amazing! Our waitress was so very nice and had a great sense of humor. The decor was cool Art Deco. But what made the night was that in a place that you wouldn't expect them to be kid friendly, they were, which made the night. Although there wasn't a kids menu, plenty of items could be adapted for kids...the meatball appetizer, pizza, and pasta. And the rest of the staff along with our waitress wanted to make our daughter happy....also you have to try the bucket of chocolate mousse, it was amazing.

The current prices are outrageous. The food was mediocre at best. The noise level was very high. Service was lax - bread and butter plates were taken away, the main dish was served and then the bread finally appeared! but no plates! The open-faced lasagna was bland (much better at Fiorello's). The spagetti carbonara was puny and under seasoned. There were very few bottles of wine under $60.

We were very surprised when the wine ordered on the wine list was not the wine that was served to us. The wine served was a much cheaper bottle of wine that they were trying to convince us was what we ordered even though the name was different. Since my husband is self educated in vino we pulled up on a website he uses the cost and two different bottles and the person in charge of wine adjusted the bill. Wine list $93.00 per bottle , the bottle served you can buy for $19.99. A price adjustment was made at $60.00 for the wine we drank still to expensive for a 19 bottle of wime

Been here many times and this was a significant miss from the past. Octopus appetizer was so un-appealing and smelly that we sent it back and were told "the kitchen agreed with us." Thanks, but it still made it to the table. The service was slow except for the actual timing of the food. Drinks were delayed, we weren't properly marked for courses. Granted a pre-theatre crowd is tough to serve because of the time crunch, but some of this was just sloppiness. Although the octopus didn't make the bill, we still spent significant money without a manager apology or some concession to make up for the mistake.

The SERVICE we received was far above even my highest hope. Our (a delightful female) server, whose name so sadly escapes me, was exceedingly kind, totally efficient and warmly friendly beyond belief. My group of 6 (family) continues to remark about her and our experience. BRAVO !!! Oh yes, the food was great and the ambiance quite pleasant. The warm cookies are a great touch. The presence of management was nice but not overly intrusive. Great martini and choices of wines/glass too. I WILL return next time I travel from Pennsylvania to NYC.

Open table- you failed me. As native new yorkers, we avoid TS as much as possible but the reviews of BOND45 seemed decent for a quick meal before a play. Quick indeed. Impressed was I by the wine pour, but the $16 gin and tonic was absurd. We were barely done with our drink order before we were rushed to place our dinner order. Within 15 minutes. our food had come out; i respect turning tables but veal ravioli which was not bad but my scallops were cold. For $32 I received 1/4 lb of scallops with a cold risotto. We were so upset when the waitress did not come back & when she did she asked to wrap up my meal. It was too late to eat anything else and it was not taken off the check. $138 later that was the worst meal I have ever had in NY.

We went to Bonds after the theatre. So it was quite late…perhaps 11pm when we arrived. The rush had died down and we were seated promptly. It is quite large restaurant and assume that it is quite busy between 7 & 10. Anyway my wife shared a Caesar salad which surprisingly was not impressive. Next, my wife ordered the whole roasted Branzino with butternut squash etc. which she enjoyed. She likes garlic and felt that the dish needed more garlic which was promptly brought to the table. I ordered the salmon with artichokes. The salmon was cooked to perfection and was delicious. Service was attentive and helpful while ordering. We certainly enjoyed our meals and the evening.

Very warmly greeted as we arrived. Early for dinner and got very busy after 7. Very attentive wait staff. Salads were enough to share steaks and veal chop cooked to order. However three of us had to return them as they were over salted. Second time was perfect. A friend had the signature veal parm, that looked fabulous. Will requested low or no salting next time. Fresh strawberries and creme for dessert was good.

Always a challenge to find a decent pre-theater place where the service is prompt but not rushed and you don't feel like a sardine. This, combined with the very tasty food made Bond 45 an excellent choice. We had the fried baby artichokes... A first for me...delish and the house made burrata with tomato...also good. For mains, my wife had the open face lasagna (very different...and great if you like the crunch part of baked pasta) and I had the veal Osso Bucco. All in all, a good meal for a not crazy price...in and out in less than an hour and fifteen.

Loved the classy setting and relative quiet in the dining room (compared to many/most restaurants in theatre district). Our server (Rene) was incredible and was very responsive. When we stated a desire we to share two entrees, He suggested splitting the scallops and risotto and serving as appetizer. Brilliant and superb meal. We split the unstructured lasgana and we were not disappointed. We took advantage of an email add that offered preferred seating and a glass of prosecco if we showed our theatre tix. Would absolutely return on next trip to NYC.

Had passed by Bond 45 for many years but never dared to go in. Being of Italian heritage from Brooklyn, we don't usually eat Italian out, but mostly hadn't tried it because it just doesn't "sound" Italian. Well, after theater-going for more than 40 years and having tried many of the finer restaurants in the Times Square area, Bond was one of the few we hand't. So off we went Wednesday night and did we get the surprise of our lives! Food, service, ambiance - everything - absolutely wondereful! We chose to order only appetizers and just can't say enough about the seven items we picked - delicious! Don't miss the Roman Fried Artichokes and the Zucchini Parmigiana. And on the way out you must grab a piece of Chocolate-covered Brittle!

Wait staff makes you feel as if you are the most important customers in the restaurant. They even brought out warm cookies from the oven gratis! On the way out we sampled the chocolate candies left out for customers. Delicious! Love the antipasto bar with ever changing selections. Grilled fennel and caponata are my favorites.
