A word from Bond 45
Located in the heart of Times Square and the Theater District, and walking distance to every Broadway show, this landmark eatery treats you like family and offers up perfect steaks, homemade mozzarella and a fabulous antipasto bar.
Bond 45 feels like part of old New York, because it is. The Ziegfeld Follies played on our roof back when the building was the Hammerstein Theater.
The New York Post calls Bond 45 “An Italian steakhouse reincarnation of the old Jack Dempsey’s, which already tastes like a long running hit, and Hal Rubenstein of New York Magazine says it: ”Treats [you] like family while executing home-style cooking as solid as my mom’s."

Since this restaurant always seems to make the top places to dine in the theater district, we thought we'd try it. Not impressed. We thought the Brunch menu was pricey. My husband and I opted for a pasta dish and they were both good, but not outstanding. We didn't see the server walking around with a bread basket until we had finished our meal. The bill for 2 dishes of pasta with a glass of Prosecco and a beer minus bread or a salad came to $90. Probably should have made a better menu choice but I'm not sure we'd give them a 2nd chance. It is a beautiful NY venue.

Went here before our show and was extremely disappointed in the food. We ordered the chicken pizzaiola and could not eat more than a couple bits. We had hoped to try one of their pizzas after hearing positive reviews, but was upset to learn that they are only served after 8 pm. sf

I just love the beautiful antipasto display on your left when you enter the restaurant, and the bowl of toffee at the host/hostess table. Usually a meal of fried artichokes and burrata, along with some vegetable choices from the antipasto menu is a meal. We celebrated a birthday this last time, and it was made perfect by a slice of amazing cheesecake adorned with a sparkler, and complimentary champagne. This is iPhone of my favorite theater district restaurants!

Old world Italian ambience in a hectic, energized atmosphere. The experience starts as soon as you enter the building with the paneled bar to the left and the open kitchen (highlighting the fabulous antipasto appetizers in full view) to the white clothes and booth seating. Service was impeccable, unobtrusive and attentive - rare combination today except in finer establishments. Sea bass, lobster risotto, Hot antipasto w/stuffed artichoke, mushrooms is Italian sauce, sautéed Brussels sprouts. Sea bass and lobster risotto entrees. Too full to sample the delicious looking desserts and didn't what to sleep through the show!! Prosecco comp after meal. Just lovely!! Can't wait to return for our next trip.

I have been to Bond 45 several times but this time was by far the best. The food was impeccable. We had the trio veggie appetizer. We picked the artichokes, eggplant and brussel sprouts. All were amazing. We also had the homemade burratta with tomato and prosciutto which was wonderful. Our entrees were DELECTABLE!!! That was my adjective of the night. There were three of us and we each raved about our meal. Bronzino. Scallops. And Ravioli. I have also always had good service and have raved about JD in the past. However, this time our waiter was Jeremiah and he was outstanding. Charming. Witty. Excellent recommendations for food and wine. We truly had a wonderful celebration! I cannot wait to go back again!!!!!!!

My husband and I were seated at 6:50 pm. We immediately told the waiter we were going to see an 8:00 pm show afterward located right down the block. He said no problem, the kitchen had slowed. We ordered an appetizer and entrees. We enjoyed the appetizer, which we finished and plates cleared around 7:25 pm. Then, our waiter (who had not stopped by our table since taking our order), arrived around 7:40 pm with a smile on his face and handed us DESSERT MENUS! We told him we had not received our entrees yet. He went to the kitchen to find out what was going on. Returning at 7:45 pm, he said the entrees should be out momentarily. At 7:50 pm, still no entrees, we decided there was no time to eat without rushing, asked for our check, and left.

I'd say 3.5 stars Have frequented this place on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed up until this last visit. Was in the mood for scallops but not the risotto that it was being served with. When I mentioned that to the server, he very accomodatingly and graciously suggested the scallops with a veggie substitution for the risotto, which sounded perfect. Have to admit whatever they did to the scallops, the way they cooked them or the sauce they added onto the plate, not all that great. The scallops were adequately cooked so no issue there, just didn't taste good. Very unfortunate. Hoping next visit will be back to the quality and taste I've come to expect at this place.

Everything was great until the food arrived. (More on that later). I was greeted and had a lovely chat prior to being seated. My request, when I made the res, was honored and our server was fab. The fried baby artichokes were great but I felt everything else on the mixed warm antipasto was so-so. Even the warm cookies lacked a little pizazz. Maybe next time?

Been to Bond 45 3 times in one week. Each time, my guests couldn't believe how delicious the lasagna was; the amazing chocolate mousse and whipped cream served in 2 pails. I thought that the New York Cheesecake was unbelievably delicious. The maître d's, Justin and Jeffery, particularly are personable and professional. When you walk in, you are greeted warmly. Can't say enough about the staff and food. I would recommend Bond 45 if you want to have a special place to dine. It's a winner!!

Hot....as in we were literally sweating in our seats! Our group was seated towards the front of the restaurant and although the "old New York" vibe was cool, we couldn't feel any a/c circulating in the front of the restaurant. We asked our server(who was also sweating)about it and he laughed, saying next time to sit towards the back. The food was good. I thought the do-it-yourself griddle was cute when you walked in to make a sweet treat and they served a nice bread basket at the beginning of the meal. Complementary cookies were offered on a baking tray right out of the oven, it seemed, to finish off the meal. I'd go back, but but during winter. I will say that our server got our large party out in a timely manner to make our 8 PM show.

I have eaten here before and it's been good especially for a quick walk to a broadway show. Unfortunately, I ordered the bone in filet and was severely disappointed. It came back medium well after my request of medium rare. After looking forward to it as a special treat, I was bummed. I sent it back w waiter agreeing and while watching my friends eat and enjoy, I just sat there. After 10 min, they brought out a new one which of course was still mooing. I was starving so I just ate it. The manager came over to apologize but that's it. Are you kidding me? That's it? I've been to steakhouses in NYC that have done the right thing and they fumbled here. Needles to say, I doubt we will be going back.

Was in town for the day to see a show on Broadway. Reviewed lots of nearby restaurants beforehand to make a reservation. Settled on this one due to variety of menu choices. I'm glad we did. Everyone's food was excellent. The bread was delicious but could have been warmed up and served with butter. They also came around with sample cookies after dinner along with samples of chocolate toffee. Overall a great meal & I will definitely return on my next trip to Broadway. Everyone was very welcoming and hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. Prices were a bit higher than I'm used to but I guess that's just NY! Prices were comparable to other restaurants nearby.

Took my husband here as a surprise for his 60 th birthday. The food was excellent but the lasagna should be 1/4 of the size as it's way to big for one person to eat. The waiter should have told us it was huge so the kitchen must toss out a lot of good food with the portions being so large. Most people eating here are tourist so it's not like they can take it home to have the next day.

When asked for more additional drips were provided with a scowl. The food was tasteless at best, Ossobucco was dry and tough. I've had better for half the price was heard all around. The Lobster Cabanara had no lobster in it either. The pricing was theater district HIGH, the service and quality of food on a scale of 1-10 was a 3!! I would never go back or recommend it.
