A word from Bond 45
Located in the heart of Times Square and the Theater District, and walking distance to every Broadway show, this landmark eatery treats you like family and offers up perfect steaks, homemade mozzarella and a fabulous antipasto bar.
Bond 45 feels like part of old New York, because it is. The Ziegfeld Follies played on our roof back when the building was the Hammerstein Theater.
The New York Post calls Bond 45 “An Italian steakhouse reincarnation of the old Jack Dempsey’s, which already tastes like a long running hit, and Hal Rubenstein of New York Magazine says it: ”Treats [you] like family while executing home-style cooking as solid as my mom’s."

  • "I have to organize business lunches on a regular basis and theis restaurant has become one of my favorite spots, not only is the food delicious, the service is excellent, it's always a pleasure to go or set up a lunch meeting here."

  • "My husband and I were recommended by a friend. The food and the staff were outstanding! Great for people living or visiting the city!"

  • "Overpriced for nothing exceptional. While the food is good, it leaves much to be desired. Bread with no butter or oil for dipping, family style sides enough only for two, no offering of any sauce to dress meats. I could go on, but there's no point. I won't visit again and strongly encourage others to think about their options before visiting this establishment."

  • "My wife and I were very pleased with both the quality of food and the service. Even though the restaurant was very crowded the food was delivered in a timely manner. The menu selection was also very commendable"

  • "We went specifically for the Mozzarella Burrata and the portion was very small. In the past it was enough for two. Disappointed"

  • "I thought this would be a good place to take the senior managers that were visiting my office from out of town for a business lunch. Turned out to be a great choice. Everyone thought the location was perfect and the food was even better! the noise level was low enough that no one needed to shout to hear each other across that table. I will certainly consider Bond 45 again in the future."

  • "My wife and I had dinner before a show and we had a fantastic night. Based on time of our reservation the staff asked if we had to be out by certain time for a show... we did and they were able to get us the entire meal without ever feeling rushed! And the food is wonderful... the antipasto selection to share was great, especially for vegetarian. The homemade pasta was delicious... the lasagna special is crazy good but is easily enough for 2. All in all, we would highly recommend!"

  • "We have been there many times. This time, 2 out of 4 had to send there food back-chicken dry, fish smelled, and our lasagna was cold. Very disappointing !!!!m Do not think we will return."

  • "My girlfriend and I had the most amazing pre-show dinner at Bond 45. Not only was the food great but the suggested seating time was perfect and we had just a short walk through Times Square to the theater. The walk took longer than it did for our drinks to come :-)"

  • "Food was wonderful; our waiter took the time to explain the menu and what would be good to share; did not rush us and we had plenty of time to make our Broadway show"

  • "Food was great, initially service was slow as we went at the start of dinner service. But in the end our waitress was great! Service was done in just enough time for us to be seated for our Broadway play which is what they advertise on when booking."

  • "We went to Bond 45 for a birthday celebration. The food was outstanding! We shared the open faced lasagna ( the waiter told us it was huge!), and it was plenty for us both (and we foodies like large portions)! We were served complimentary champagne and they brought over a birthday cake with a sparkler in it for my friend! Had a wonderful time! Bring your checkbook though- class & quality has its price!"

  • "Great restaurant for before or after the theater! Act one, attentive greeting and waitstaff, Act two fresh ingredients and great food, Act three giant sized slice of cake! And freshly baked cookies on the house..."

  • "Bond 45 was recommended by my niece, who frequents NY. The atmosphere was lively and yet we could carry on a conversation without yelling or asking each other to repeat what was said. Our reservations were for a later time. We arrived a lot earlier. We were seated immediately. The vegan in our party raved about the Tofu Parmesan after stating that she hated Tofu. The portions were a little smaller than we are use to, when we dine out, but then we usually taking half home. We were so hungry by the time we arrived that we forgot to post pictures of our meals, as we usually do. But we did post our location and that we enjoyed dinner on our facebook page. And the Chocolate chip cookies hot out of the oven was a nice touch. Minister Flo-B"

  • "The host made sure the waiter knew we were pre theater. The menu accommodated a gluten free diet. The branzino was perfectly prepared and the signature deconstructed lasagna was superb. Known for a noisy place, we had asked for and was seated at a quiet location. All in all a great place for pre theater and varied needs. The service and management catered individually which you rarely find in such a large restauant. Kudos."

  • "Very noisy but good food and service. We had a 6:30 reservation and were out in plenty of time for an 8:00 Broadway show (even though the restaurant website recommended eating at 5:30 if going to the theater."

  • "The location is great right in the middle of the theater district. We were attending a Saturday night show at 8 pm and they recommended a 5:30 reservation. We were seated promptly and enjoyed a stress free dinner not having to watch to clock. Service was great. Very friendly. Prices were a bit high. while the veal chop parm that my wife ordered was delicious and super sized, I thought $50 was pretty expensive for it. It didn't come with any sides such as pasta or vegetables. Overall, I would go back for a special occasion."

  • "We were enchanted by the warm, welcoming service at 45 Bond. Just a few steps away from frantic, crazy Times Square there is this gem of a restaurant. As soon as you enter, you are greeted warmly and taken to a lovely table that is just perfect for you. The hostess is professional, friendly and careful to meet your every need. We were served by a terrific waiter who provided excellent suggestions for drinks and dinner. The warm antipasto, and the steak and fish dishes were excellent. The desserts need work and more variety. We will return whenever we are in the area, but not have dessert!"

  • "Cool look, great location. Food was overprices and bland."

  • "This is a high-standard Itlaian restaurant in the old and athentic Itlaian tradition, it has nothing to do with low-leve and commercial "joints" one finds everywhere, especially in the theater district. Even the patrons are more refined and select than the usual crowds of the area. It is a true discovery!! From now on, I'll consider it one of my favorite restaurants in the City! I highly recommend it."

  • "We had an early dinner at Bond 45 this past Thursday. Everything was delicious! We had four children with us who enjoyed the pizza and pasta bolognese. We had a very accommodating waiter who made our evening very enjoyable. The finishing touch chocolate chip cookies a big hit all around."

  • "My family and I went to Bond 45 before the theater and were not disappointed. I had their special "open faced" lasagna and it was wonderful. My mom loves everything about their antipasto. My 11 year old enjoyed it as well. Great service, great food. We were out in plenty of time for the theater. Make reservations!"

  • "I was disappointed that my group of 5 was seated in lower bar area with paper place mats & more noise (with reservation), I expected more from a $360 dining experience."
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "Bad service and bad food. Steak was not the quality I expected."
    Dined on 7/12/2014
  • "Food was excellent, a little pricey. Portions were a little too big depending on what you order, the specialty lasagna is wonderful but I recommend splitting it among two people.. way too much to eat alone and if going before the theater you can't take the leftovers with you. The scallops were fabulous and served with creamy flavorful risotto. The service was courteous and attentive. They recommend a 5:30 start time for an 8PM show, but we arrived around 6, skipped appetizers (food portions more than sufficient) and had dessert (the bucket of chocolate mousse was wonderful, and large enough for four to share) and still were able to make our show with plenty of time to spare. Great before Theater restaurant. Only Caution- lots of stairs."
