Bond 45 feels like part of old New York, because it is. The Ziegfeld Follies played on our roof back when the building was the Hammerstein Theater.

We arrived at 5:30 but didn't leave until 7:30 because the dinner entre was so late arriving at the table.   • "It is perfect location for before broadway theater show. We were late - called about being behind - and they were very accommodating. They knew we didn't have a lot of time and were great. Service and Food came fast. We were even able to have enough time for dessert - all within 1 hour. Food was excellent... my cousin from Korea had his first Filet Mignon and absolutely loved it."

  • "We came in at 6:15 after seeing the Sunday matinee of Les Mis. I asked if I could order chicken parmesan, which is technically a lunch but not a dinner item (I do not eat veal). The waitress checked with the kitchen staff and told us it was not possible. Okay, so may I have a pizza? No again, because pizza is not served until after 8pm…this is ridiculous. The manager came over to apologize, and offered us a glass of Proseco, which I appreciated. When I explained that I had had chicken parm in the evening there before, I was told that they were overwhelmed.The restaurant was less than half full. Bond 45, we are regulars, not tourists, and we appreciate a little flexibility on the menu."

  • "Fixed menu for $100. Offered change in one (main) course for $30 more. Thought that was crazy. Nothing looks or even tastes like what it is. A little too strange for my taste (which is quite sophisticated and has traveled all over the world). Glad I tried it, but would not return. Can't stand expensive restaurants that only serve wine and beer. I told them that due to a medication, I could not drink wine and asked if I could bring a flask of cognac that they could pour in the kitchen. Was told no. They charged $8.95/bottle for homemade sparkling water!"

  • "Bind 45 is solid and consistent. You get a great meal and of you are attending a show, they get you in and out in a timely manner. Service is always personable with extra treats offer... comlimentary glass of proseco, fresh baked cookies and if you're running out of time and skip dessert, you can get a sweet fix with some chocolate bark by the reservation stand."

  • "Bond 45 is truly a very good restaurant. But I would have a hard time recommending it because they charge prices akin to those of much better restaurants. $40 for lasagna? With one drink and no dessert you're looking at $100 per person. For that price, everything needs to be extraordinary. Bond 45 is just very good."

  • "Great spot. Been before. Had reservations at 11:00 and ordered some small dishes as we were not sure how much that would fill us. When we finished those and decided we would indeed order an entre, we were told kitchen was closed and we could not order anything else. Big disappointment. Especially since we had mentioned to our waitress what we were doing. :( Appetizers were not at the level of our previous visit or that filling either."

  • "We were referred to this restaurant as a great experience and great food. The food was okay and the service was slow. Our server had 5 tables. At one point, he stopped by to drop off our unopened bottle of wine and five minutes later finally came back to open the bottle. Definitely had other Itialian restaurants that I would recommend over this one. However, the free brittle available at the entrance was amazing!"

  • "We arrives at 6:00 p.m. It was busy and we sat down on time for our reservation. After ordering drinks and dinner , no appetizer, we sat back to relax . Within 10 minutes our drinks and dinner were served. A little too quick for us but what was I to do? Send back the food because it came out to fast? The meals were tasty - no complaints there. We were out of there in 40 minutes !"

  • "Went here as a pre-game dinner w/friends from Chicago. We were seated immediately and the staff was top notch professional. That said, our table was so deeply in discussion it was a good twenty minutes after our drinks were served that I noticed that our waiter wasn't going to approach the table to interrupt for our order. 'True sign of excellent dining service, they are not pushy and are totally service oriented and polite. Such a refreshing change to other trending restaurants. Once we called the waiter over he expertly assisted us with our dinner order. (Should be noted that they don't serve their famous thin crust pizzas before 8pm) Everything came out quickly, fresh and was perfect! Definitely a "fit for foodies" place."

  • "It was our first time at Bond 45. We were able to make reservations the night before with a party of 8. The food was fantastic, the service was outstanding. Even the hostess was exceptionally friendly, and our waiter was charming and attentive. As for food, our table all ordered something different. The lasagna was amazing, the salmon was probably the best I had ever had and the even the filet was cooked to perfection. Desert was amazing and we had a lot of fun with the "bucket of mousse". Absolutely my new favorite NYC restaurant. I recommend it so very highly."

Service was good, food okay (though the house specialty fried artichokes at $16 a small serving are beaten hands down by the roasted ones at Brooklyn's Spumoni Gardens!). Way overpriced! Water for $5 was not refilled; had to ask for a second serving of bread (no olive oil or butter in sight or offered) minimum $30 per person and $10 for entree sharing? Food should be outstanding to make these policies tolerable. It wasn't."

  • "I went to Bond 45 this week with a group of clients. the service was great and the server recommended a ravioli special that a couple of the group had for lunch including myself. It was amazing as she had said. As was everyone else's food. The issue was the lunch ravioli special was $45 each. Yes it was good but it was just the entree, for a few more dollars I can go to numerous locations in NYC for a 3 course Pre fixe and really get some amazing food. So just be aware of the trap."

  • "Although it was a busy Saturday night before a show, our waiter was patient, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to explain the menu to us and also made sure to get us out in enough time to make it to the show, without rushing us at the same time. His food recommendations were amazing and we loved every single thing we ordered. The freshly made mozzarella was fabulous, the open faced lasagna delicious, and the veal parmigiana was unbelievable. Great experience! Great food!"

  • "Over 30 bucks for a smallish plate of pasta with barely any seafood? Margin happy restaurant, disappointed clientele... I'm more than happy to pay $30+ for a spectacular plate of pasta but this isn't so at Bond 45. Yes it's freshly made, but hardly a large portion and with a meager amount of crab meat - you had to dig around to find any. Not worth the cash."

  • "If you have no issue being served by 5 different people in an hour and having to ask twice for water, three times for ketchup, four times for the check and having your food brought in waves -- everyone eating at a different time -- then this is the place for you. We found it confounding. The food was good, but if I'm paying $14 for a small plate of mushrooms and roasted potatoes, it better be fine. I also was annoyed that the potato dish we ordered was "seasoned" with extremely spicy peppers; I love a little spice, but the restaurant could have mentioned this detail. I'm a New Yorker, and I'll never be back. This is for the tourists; let New Yorkers show how we rip you off. Bad bad bad!"
