A word from Bond 45
Located in the heart of Times Square and the Theater District, and walking distance to every Broadway show, this landmark eatery treats you like family and offers up perfect steaks, homemade mozzarella and a fabulous antipasto bar.
Bond 45 feels like part of old New York, because it is. The Ziegfeld Follies played on our roof back when the building was the Hammerstein Theater.
The New York Post calls Bond 45 “An Italian steakhouse reincarnation of the old Jack Dempsey’s, which already tastes like a long running hit, and Hal Rubenstein of New York Magazine says it: ”Treats [you] like family while executing home-style cooking as solid as my mom’s."

The food was one of the best we ever had. Our server was perfect. Friendly and accomodating to our needs with a professional approach. Prices were moderate and the menu offers something for everyone. If you ask, menu choices can be modified to your preference as well. I will definitely recommend to everyone. 1/2 block from the theater district so very conveniently located for those parties seeing a broadway show.

Saturday Nov. 22 we met friends for dinner after their play and before our play. The host was very warm and welcoming, I made reservations through OpenTable so we were seated within minutes of our reservation time. Our waitress was amazing, knew the menu very well and was good at explaining all of items. The food...its Bond45, so it was delicious as always. We like trying new places any time in the city but this is a definite place for a return visit. You wont be disappointed.

We were very pleased with the meal at Bond 45. We were seated right away - very cosy banquette. Waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked. Spaghetti Carbonara with Lobster was excellent. Be aware that prices quoted for wine by the glass are for a 3 oz. pour but they bring you a 6 oz. pour so everything is double.

The food was amazing especially the Veal Parmigiana and bucket of Mousse. Our waiter really made sure we understood the options and had a great sense of humor since we were out of towners. I thought this was the best restaurant we ate at on our trip and would recommend to anyone coming to NYC

Three of us ate here for dinner after a matinee. This was recommended by my son who lives in New York. Everything was great but I have one complaint. I do not eat sausage and no where on the menu does it say that the specialty lasagne has sausage in it. If I had known that, I would not have ordered it. Other than that, the place is great and our waiter was wonderful. We will all go again. Appetizers are the best! My friend loved her Veal Melanese and we all loved the special artichokes, zucchini, asparagus and chocolate mousse.

I selected Bond 45 for a pre-theater dinner after reviewing its website. It was about a block from the theater I was attending, and therefore convenient. The restaurant is cavernous and can be very noisy. There were several large groups near us which made the noise level more pronounced. The host/hostess staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome upon arrival; the wait staff is friendly and pleasant, but not especially efficient. We never received bread, even while all of the tables around us did. Also, they brought my companion the wrong meal and a side we did not order-- not even close. I received the correct entree, but a side that I ordered was not brought. . They took my dinner companion's incorrect meal back, but left mine on the table. I did not want to eat while he had no food, and so we waited about 10 minutes until they brought his correct meal and my correct side. By this time, my entrée had become more room temperature, but I did not send it back because we were pressed for time. Obviously, the more professional approach would have been to remove both entrees and return them simultaneously when the correct meal was brought. Additionally, I told my server at the outset of the meal that I was allergic to nuts. We received a small plate of cookies with our coffee, but when I asked her again if any of the cookies had nuts, she said yes and took the plate away, replacing it with a plate of nut-free cookies. I should not have had to mention this twice, and this is a puzzling lapse since the menu asks that you advise the server of food allergies. The meal was not cheap and I believe there are better choices in the area. I expressed my disappointment to the hostess on the way out. She said "sorry" but was not especially concerned by one diner's bad experience. Possibly their location in a prime tourist area makes them less feel immune to their patrons' experience, since they will always have enough traffic to compensate for those who will not return.

This wasn't our first time at Bond 45. We were there almost a year ago having dinner before show and remember the steaks, veal Parmesan, and atmosphere were fantastic. I decided to take my accountant and general manager to dinner before seeing a show. Everything we ordered, appetizers and entrées came out cold. The amazing Veal Parmesan was not as I remembered it and was not good. It's a fun atmosphere but the food is not inexpensive, not that good and even worse when it's cold. We told our server we are seeing a show and obviously would not be able to take food home with us. We ordered way, way too much and we're not advised that we were doing so. They are so so many restaurants to go to and this is one that we don't need to go back to.

The appetizers alone would keep you coming back. There'a quite a variety, but the burrata was something else! The Ravioli with pesto was very good too. They have plenty of staff to accommodate their patrons so they don't have to rush to get to theater. The cocktails are a bit pricey but very good also.

My friends and I didn't have the best experience at Bond 45. We'd dined at their location at the National Harbor, which we thoroughly enjoyed. So we were expecting the New York location to be equal or better. It started on a questionable note when after having through Open Table I'd made a reservation for 12 noon because it was the earliest one available. I called the restaurant directly to ask if an earlier seating would be at all possible only to find on our arrival at noon, after waiting an hour that it looked as if we were the very first patrons of the day despite their 11 AM opening. Virtually no one else was there. Also while they claim to be serving brunch, there were 3 egg options on the menu. All of the members of my group ordered the Branzino. While tasty it was a bit dry. The positives, the roasted potatoes and fresh baked cookies were delectable.

We had a 5:45 reservations and were seated promptly. The restaurant was busy with a Theater crowd, and was very noisy. My friend had the filet which was amazing and cooked to perfection. I had the veal scallopini which was served on a large plate with 5 thin small slices of veal tossed on it and was so tough. My husband had been to Bond 45 and raved about the veal, I guess I ordered the wrong veal. Also, I was not impressed with the wines by the glass menu, would of liked to see more selections of reds to choose from. We didn't have dessert but did have the $8.00 cup of black coffee, should of gone next store to Starbucks! Although my experience was not top notch, I would go back and have the filet and probably share a bottle of red wine!

We've eaten here for lunch several times and always had a nice meal. This was our first dinner there. My wife ordered a veal dish. The sauce was nice, but the veal was tough, perhaps over cooked or just bad pieces. In any event, the dinner was exchanged for another entree, but by that time I had finished my dinner. The maître d said that veal dinners were sometimes an issue, so why even have it on the menu?? And for $32, I'd expect it to be good all of the time. To be fair, the rest of the food was very good, and the maître d gave us a dessert and coffee on the house.

The food at Bond45 is actually quite good. In the past I've had great service. This visit had neither. First, they only have 3 breakfast options on the menu. I understand a menu balanced more towards lunch, but 3 dishes total? Oh right - they were also OUT of Eggs Benedict...so, we're down to 2 options. My friend and I both ordered an omelet, mine w/out cheese - her's with. When they were brought over, we even made a big deal in asking if they were the right dish as they were so similar, save the cheese. "Yes yes of course" he confirmed. 4 bites later - not the case. These things might seem not really important - but the rest didn't make up for it. The ambiance wasn't great (I've been before for lunch and it was really great, actually). The add'l wait staff was miserable and reached over all of us to get plates out of the way (plates that weren't even empty) I would still recommend this place for lunch/dinner. It's on the pricey side - but I usually like the food. Just FIX BRUNCH!

My Mom was 45 minutes late for our 11:45 reservation, yet the staff was helpful, understanding, and got us in and out in time to walk to the show. Very lively scene, an "early call" prix fix menu, and yummy Italian themed food. A winner!

i've eaten here many times because it is convenient to the Laura Pels Theatre and parking. The restaurant was very crowded and noisey. The sited shrimp and scallops appetizer had two scallops and tiny frozen shrimp. Our entrees of veal were excellent but my wife didn't get the right vegetables. Bread is a rarity at this restaurant because there appeared to be only one bread boy. Overall not a good night at what is usually a very good but expensive restaurant.

I've eaten @ the Bond 45 in National Harbor outside Washington DC so I wanted to try the Bond 45 in Times Square. They take reservations by calling or thru open table. My friend and I both shared a caprese salad. We had a cold carrot side which was very good. For dinner we both had the lobster seafood risotto, excellent. Wine was pricey both average for NYC. Not sure if they do this every time but they walked around offering homemade cookies.

We have dined at Bond 45 many times since we are avid theater goers. Usually the food is worth the overpriced entries. Not tonight. They were out of their signature dish. So what we ordered instead seemed to have been made for lunch and served for dinner, overcooked pasta and rubbery veal. We have many choices in midtown and I will be spending my hard earned $$$ elsewhere. The service was terrible as well, we could not get our water refilled to wash down the terrible food.
