  • "From the service, to the food preparation and flavor, it was a wonderful dining experience for my wife, my mom, and myself. My mom is visiting from Seattle, so for her it was an unexpected treat. She had the crab steak, which she'd not heard of before - and loved; while my wife and I had the lobster - shelled and served without the shell - how nice! The warm olives and meatballs we had before the main course were both excellent. I could make a meal of the meatballs alone. I must compliment the chef for the fantastic flavors - he nailed it. True Italian. Also, our server was so nice and made our dining experience even more special."

  • "Everything was outstanding from waiter attentiveness to quality of the food. We had the fried shrimp and calamari for appetizer and perfectly cooked Porterhouse and New York strip steaks for the main courses. Shared a side of polenta, which was very good, but a bit heavy on the cheese for my wife's taste. On a different note, it was very nice to sit and enjoy our dinner in a quiet environment and talk. We are so tired for restaurants that feel they need to have loud music and having to compete with it to converse. Thank you Bond 45!"

  • "The food and service were wonderful. We had the best steak EVER. Our servers were attentive but we never felt rushed. The only possible downside was the noise level. It was very loud that evening. I don't really hold that against the restaurant or the patrons who were enjoying themselves heartily. We were just looking for a little quieter atmosphere ourselves that evening. We will definitely go there again."

  • "The food is always great. The steak was cooked as requested. The waiter was attentive. We sat on one of the enclosed balconies with a view of the ferris wheel. As it was close to sunset the view was beautiful. Could put some tint or covering so the sun isnt directly in guest eyes. But very nice anyway. Great options for dessert too."

  • "This was my second dinner with Bond 45, my first experience was perfect. Food, atmosphere and service were just right. Second trip was disappointing. The atmosphere and service were great but the food was lacking. The cut of meat (costing $54) was mostly gristle."

  • "The food overall is very good. The portions are a good size and the mozzarella is delicious. The service was very average for a high end restaurant. We tried to order 3 beers on draft and all of those kegs were warm or they were out of the beer (it was a Tuesday night). We ended up ordering bottled beer and the waitress brought them out without chilled glasses, they were out of those too. These things weren't the waitresses fault but she seemed oblivious to them and really wasn't very attentive or apologetic."

  • "Enjoyed Bond 45 while at National Harbor with a seminar. Four of us for dinner. The seating was comfortable the menu was extensive. Two in our party had the crab steak and loved it. Another had a great steak and anther a pasta both were pleased. They have great wine choices and we enjoyed the sausage and broccoli rabe appetizer too."

  • "I made a reservation to take my husband out for fathers day with our children. THis restaurant is not kid friendly. THey did not even have a kids menu, or kids choices. So essentially, my 3 year old did not eat. The food was good, but not worth the money we paid for it. Wasn't a great experience."

I like butter for my bread... Individually wrapped portions? Really? In a restaurant of this caliber that's just wrong. Of course one personal portion of butter will not keep me away from a great steak... Just saying."

  • "The cocktails are worth a try (I have a soft spot for the spritz) and the service has been excellent every time we go. The portions are large so one could easily share plates. I recently had the Caesar salad with chicken for brunch and the chicken was outstanding. The pasta dishes my companions ordered were also very delicious."

  • "I wanted to be impressed with Bond 45--great Potomac view, plenty of outside seating. Bond 45 most certainly wasn't impressive. This is an "Italian Steak and Seafood" place, but they do neither very well. My NY Strip ordered medium rare came out well done the first time...and they agreed to provide me a second steak because they concurred that it was "medium, not medium rare." Medium?? It was shoe leather scorched. The second strip, while served at the appropriate temperature, was not befitting of a $50 cut of meat. The house "specialita" jumbo crab steak was average--average crab in Maryland isn't going to cut it. The puff bread and Caesar salad were a promising start, but that was it. Way, way, WAY overpriced. Skip it."

  • "We celebrated a family member's birthday at Bond 45 but some were shocked by the menu prices. The birthday girl and I truly enjoyed our experience - the waitress was great - I only wish I had warned the others about the menu prices. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and dessert, and the wine was delicious. I was told that the birthday girl would be serenaded the happy birthday song in Italian, but she only received a scoop of ice cream surrounded by cotton candy. The staff was very friendly. "

  • "Very good restaurant, the service and ambiance were excellent. However the food didn't seem to hold up to the "promise". It was good, just not great, and for the prices you are paying you want great food. None of the food was bad, it just all seemed to lack something. I.E. I ordered a medium-rare steak, it was more on the north side of medium. Still good but not what I ordered. The staff was great and attentive. They seated us at a wonderful corner table in the side room with a great view but the main room was very loud."

  • "Bond 45 serves extremely overpriced mediocre food. The setting is wonderful especially at night. Beautiful view of the Potomac and the new wheel and the bridge. Steaks are just ok and for the price are not worth it, The steaks at Morton's, Ruth Chris etc are better and cheaper or at least the same price. The seafood is just not well done. How can you mess up a Lobster. It's just steam and a live lobster, right? My SO said it was the worst lobster she ever ate. And we've had a lot of lobsters over the years. The fish stew (Cioppino) was in a brown gravy. Eyuck. Glad I didn't order it but I pitied my dinner guest who did. Is it really worth $10 more for 2 more ounces of steak? Never. If you go, go for the view. Just don't eat much."

  • "I ordered the 8 ounce center cut fillet, caesar salad, and a side of potatoes. I've had better steaks elsewhere and the other two items were just okay. The service was excellent...I just wish the food was, as well. Expensive and not really worth it."

  • "The hosting staff was disorganized, the server and the non-existant supporting cast was rushed and seemed to only be interested in turning the table over for the next guest. The lasagna was delicious, the steak was undercooked - for the two of us it was hard to justify the large family style portions of the sides - this place is probably better for large families and groups of people than couples."

  • "This restaurant is nice and has nice views; however, it is overpriced. We expected the food to be similar to a Ruth's Chris meal and were disappointed. The food was just okay. We ate outside and the noise level was high due to a band performing on the stage at National Harbor. The service was less than desirable at that price point. I ran out of water twice and it took over 10 minutes for the server to come around and then get a refill. I would not go back to this restaurant. "

This felt a little tight and our waitress could not come around behind all of the seats.   • "The food was cold. The crab cake was one of their specialty dishes.I can make a better crab cake.The couple next to us found plastic wrap in his veal. We had an artichoke appetizer. I not sure but I think the dried up thing that tasted like hay may have been the artichoke! This was not a pleasurable experience."

  • "Menu is pretty sparse with choices I liked. Is it a steakhouse or an Italian restaurant - I wasn't sure. Not many appetizers to choose from and not made sides to choose from. If you are into healthy I'm not sure Bond 45 will satisfy your appetite. Salad choices were sparse - I was able to get mine with arugula which I absolutely loved. My petite steak ordered medium came out rare. My assaragus was wilted and not seasoned. Dessert was over whelming. I must say the pass around these fresh baked chocolate chip cookies - this was a really nice feature. My server was quite attentive and had a great smile and spirit. Other than that I'll pass on ever coming back. "

  • "We arrived for our Sunday evening reservation on time. We were seated and ordered a drink. When the server came to take our order we were told the were out of ribeye, 14 oz New York strip and had only 4 20oz strips left, out of porterhouse. We left - no steak at a steakhouse?"

  • "We came here with my parents to celebrate my boyfriend getting a new job. We'd go to a nice restaurant to celebrate. I don't mind splurging on an expensive meal if it's worth the money. This place is overpriced and the food was terrible. We would have enjoyed our meals more at outback for a fraction of the price. If I'm going to spend the money, I expect the food to be amazing and the food wasn't even "okay." The Ossobuco tasted gamey and the pasta was undercooked (and I like mine aldente). The portions were super small. "
