All were very pleased with their meals. Service was great, as it always is (my wife & I are locals at go to BonCaldo several times/year). One disappointment was the Pork Loin special. Description of "loin" might be technically correct, but it was misleading. It was not the tenderloin, and it was not cooked Medium as requested. It was still tasty and I didn't want to send it back & wait for a new one, just not that big a deal. We were given a comfortable table and the wait staff immediately took care of us. The ambiance was a bit blah but still classy. Unfortunately they were out of the beer I selected (one of my favorites). The Caesar salad was excellent since they make their won dressing. The meatball appetizer was also tasty and the sauce was amazing. My wife did not each much of her haddock since it had a sugary sauce on top. It was supposed to be a lemon butter sauce but you could not taste either. All three of us got broccolini and none of us could eat it. You could not cut it even with a steak knife and if you did get a piece into your mouth you would be chewing forever. We tried it out for the first time and was very pleased. We ordered a calamari to start which was amazing (not too greasy, light and flavorful). For my meal, I ordered the capriccioso which was delicious! The eggplant appetizer was a bit heavy in oil but it is exactly how my grandmother would have made it. Clams and shrimp on perfect al dente linguini was also delicious. BTW, I like both Bertucci's and Olive Garden. This place is just very, very good. We met friends there - we came from Needham and they came from Franklin. Great wine list and martinis. Calamari appetizer was tender, crispy and lightly breaded. One of the specials was Pork Osso Buco and it was outstanding. Veal Marsala was terrific as well. Can't wait to go back. We were not disappointed with the food, there was four of us dining and we all got something different.... all the dishes were delish! The service was outstanding our server Lauren was top notch, everyone was finished except for one in our party and when Lauren came over to check on us she didn't start removing the dishes of those of us that were done, she waited until we all were finished. When servers start to remove dishes before everyone is done I find totally rude, what a delight to find a server that does it right. We were so impressed we decided the next day to book it for our son's rehearsal dinner for August. It is a great place for a romantic dinner or dining with a group of friends. The decor is very nice, esp the central fireplace. The wait staff is polite and attentive. The menu offers an excellent selection at reasonable prices. The portions were good and the food was delicious! Pear salad with grilled chicken was great, as was a grilled salmon dish. The crostata dessert was sweet but delicious. Service was also much improved over the last time we were there.
