  • "We had a great anniversary dinner. We will go back again when we are in town again. The staff was great."

  • "Excellent dining experience. Classy, grown and sexy environment. I will return."

  • "What a hidden gem. So close to the busy bourbon st in New Orleans but when you walk in it's a cute dark cocktail bar. We had dinner. The food wasn't to our taste but was done well enough. The cocktails though, were what made the restaurant. You have to check it out."

  • "The food was a bit pricey, but it was delicious. We started with a dozen of oysters - they were just ok. I've had better at Dragos and Katie's. I ordered the scallops for my entree - they were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. He ordered the stuffed fish - it was amazing!! The martinis were creative and flavorful; the music was great and the server was attentive but not in an overbearing way. Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a quaint spot with good live music, fancy cocktails and great food."

  • "We went for the summer Thursday night lobster special. Did not know that we needed to tell them in advance that we wanted lobster, but we were still able to get it. They had advertised it for $25.00 but when we got the bill, they had charged us a lot more than that. We called it to their attention and they only charged us the $25. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy. The food was very good. We enjoyed the music, which was not intrusive. The only negative was our waitress. We had to ask for bread. She forgot to bring the olive juice for the martinis. She brought less hot towels to to clean our hands after the meal than there were people at the table. Thankfully, the person assisting her was very good."

  • "Open Table reviews were spot on! Needed a good, moderate dining experience for a client dinner. The food was out of this world as well as the service. We could actually talk to one another even with a table of six. All of us enjoyed the experience. Personally I would even take my husband there for an intimate, romantic dinner too. Thank you to the staff and chef !"

  • "We had a great evening for my wife's birthday. Their drink menu didn't disappoint. So many options and all the drinks we ordered were excellent. We both got steaks and they were the best I've had in quit a while. Service was excellent.only complaint was that while we were seated in one of their private booths it was in the bar and there was a lot of noise. Great place though.if we return to New Orleans we'll definitely be coming back."

  • "everything about this place was great. the martini, steaks and staff was great. we will go back soon"

  • "Had it at $$ and the menu was more expensive than advertised. The food was lack-luster - not much flavor - almost a pre-made and warmed up taste. The drinks and service were nice. There was a quartet that drowned out any and all dinner conversation - as our table was in the back - but right under a speaker."

  • "Nice place and great service! The food was good but nothing over the top. To us the food seemed A bit too salty. We did enjoy the piano and songs."

  • "This was probably the best dining experience that my wife and I had while in New Orleans. The martinis were top notch to say the least. As far as the food goes, I'd have to say it was the best steak I've ever eaten! I've had many steaks from all over and this was the absolute best!! My wife and will definitely be back the next time we are in town. I highly recommend the Bombay club for anyone looking for the ultimate dining experience. Thanx again for having us!!!"

  • "Found this hidden gem a few years ago and stopped in for a few drinks. The ambiance is great-dim lighting, wood, piano and an outside garden area. This year we found time to eat there enjoying more than just their fresh, creative martinis. Four if us dined on mussels, and a crostini n tomato fondue to start. We had entrees of steak-cooked to perfection, Shepard pie and a tomatoe filled with spinach n goat cheese over a creamy mushroom risotto. Cheesecake and chocolate martinis rounded out the dinner. We were all fully satisfied and the service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Would go again- try it if only for drinks!"

  • "Overall was a restaurant to be recommended but I was satisfied with the Beef pie I ordered ,taste was good but wasn't a real pie ! I was very much satisfied with the Martini I ordered to be made by my taste and it came out so good ."

  • "Excellent food and service. Wish they had more fish selections on the menu. Piano player/singer was too loud."

  • "Peeling wallpaper, food all over floors, overflowing visible trash cans. We arrived expecting a nice restaurant (jacket required) and found one full of people in beach-type cloths and a run down ambiance. So much potential squandered. To top it off, service was awful(rude), and food subpar at best. Not worth the price tag!"

  • "This is our second time attending Bombay for there summer lobster specials. As before we had 4 adult's were seated promptly at our arrival. Wait staff was friendly and fun to talk to. The lobster was cooked property, it arrived at the table hot with all the fixings we asked for. The staff did a great job keeping up with us removing what wad no longer needed from the table. Specialty drinks were very enjoyable and averagely priced. The place is a little small, so if there are some big parties seated at that time it could become some what noisy. The curtain drawn tables are cozy and romantic. Over all very nice time. "

  • "My Husband and I were really looking forward to our evening at the Bombay Club. When we arrived the couple coming out raved about the food...always a good sign! Our entrees were amazing and the Martinis were delish! The ambiance was everything they said it would be and the service was outstanding. A definite must while in The Big Easy! We will return!"

  • "If you want a nice place to hear great live music but quiet...not crowded...with no drunks with lots of beads around their neck...this is a great spot. Yes it is in the French Quarter but tucked away in the Prince Conti Hotel, it has a fabulous drink menu with lots of great martinis and cocktails, curtained booths for romantic privacy, a great private outdoor patio area, and a very good menu. I recommend the crawfish and roasted tomato fondue appetizer. We had a Speckled Trout special over asparagus risotto with lemon beurre blanc...outstanding. Loved the music, loved the wine, LOVED the setting. We also loved our server Patty...fun, attentive, knowledgeable. "

  • "Service was outstanding... We both ordered the stuffed fish. I have eaten here several times before and have not had a bad dish. However, this time I was highly disapointed in the entree selection we made. Fish was stuffed with crab meat and topped off w/holindaise sause. Very dry- needed a little more hoild sa and injection of lemon butter or butter or somthing else mixed with crab. "

  • "We had the speckled trout which was very good!! Ellen our waitress was outstanding. For desert my wife had a, well more than one chocolate martini. They were the Best. We will come back!!!"

  • "Flight was delayed coming into New Orleans so our reservation was bumped to a later time. We were seated next to the band which was lovely but prevented conversation due to the noise level. Food was delicious, scallops best we had ever tasted, only complaint is the small serving size. Martinis were tasty as well. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend the Bombay Club, ask not to be seated next to the stage and expect to need a midnight snack after you are done."

  • "My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. When we first arrived I was a little judgemental. The place was dark and a bit small. We got a booth right infront of the bar and ordered the muscles to start with they were amazing!!! The food overall was amazing. My husband being a chef, we are a little bit of food snobs we were blown away! The smoked Gouda grits I highly recommend! So good. The staff are extremly nice and knowledgeable. My husband and I were very happy and will be returning. "

  • "My husband and I went to Bombay Club for our first wedding anniversary dinner while we were vacationing in NOLA. It was the perfect atmosphere! We had a private table, delicious cocktails and wonderful food. We highly recommend the chicken saltimbocca and scallops/crab beignets! Our server, David, was great and really knew the menu. Wish we could visit again and try more of their cocktails!"

  • "The waitress was pretty bad. Slow service, difficult to get refills on drinks or make changes to the order- (requested dressing change on the wedge salad), not attentive."

  • "The musicians are incredible. Next time I would eat dinnet somewhere else and then go to rhis bar fir the music. Great happy hour, beautiful martinis. There wasn't any food I would recommend."

  • "We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with great service. The music was very enjoyable. I was happy our table for four was a little further from the music so we could talk and enjoy the music as well. All in all I would recommend for a memorable night!"

  • "The food and service were fine, but the entertainment was so loud that it was impossible to hold a conversation."
    Dined on 5/8/2014
  • "Just the atmosphere I was looking for - innovative martinis, dim but inviting lighting and a jazz trio perfect for the size and layout of the restaurant. Unfortunately a little too pricey to make it a regular hang-out. I was told the martinis were generous doubles - but that wasn't so."

  • "The Bombay Club was a great spot for our group of 8. The service was outstanding, the drinks divine, and the food was delicious!"

  • "The Bombay Club really delivered on food and service. Our group grew from 7 to 11 between making the reservation and eating and the Bombay Club went above the call to accommodate us. Everyone enjoyed their food. I especially enjoyed the lamb. The Oyster Rockefeller was phenomenal. You'll love the place."

  • "My wife and i ate here over the weekend while at jazzfest, overall food and service were great. my wife's entree (steak) came out undercooked and the waitress and manager insisted on taking it back twice to fix it, the second time they gave her an entire new entree and comped the entree as well as offered us a free dessert, they were very apologetic and overall went over and above the call of duty to ensure our satisfaction. food was excellently prepared. their martini menu was one of the largest i've ever seen with 70+ martinis to sample from"

  • "Food just average, bar not large and given the size of the restaurant the piano player's music was distracting versus enjoyable. Not on my recommendation list."
