BoMaGood local restautantBoMa was a great place for a good entree or a good burger. Go there on a Spring Day and the place is open to the street. However, BoMa hits a higher note with unusual and delicious fare served by attentive staff. The environment is stylish yet low-key. We started off with their short-rib tacos which provided a punch of yummy flavor, followed by their decadent duck-fat french fries, raw tuna tartare, and meat/mushroom burger -- All wonderful. Their duck breast is good, but the sides it comes with are even better. There was a mx-up at one point and the head chef came out and brought us a complimentary cheese plate to make up for it. We started with the beet salad (one of the best beet salads I've ever had) and moules frites (so good). Then we had a burger and the duck confit pizza for our entrees, which were both excellent. We had made a reservation for 2 at 8:45 through open table and by the time we got there just a few minutes before our reservation there wasn't a table available. But the staff was incredible to us about it! It's hard to flip tables I absolutely understand that when you have people close out a tab and just sit. We ended up waiting until about 9:05 for a table to open up and we ended up with a free desert on the house! We ABSOLUTELY will be going back, for the service alone!
Food was also great! The Boma Burger and pork Belly Tacos are to die for, and if you don't get the Fries, you've made a huge mistake!

The food was excellent in quality, but the portion size was so small that we left a bit hungry. The wait staff was friendly and attentive -- but perhaps a little too attentive. We had an early reservation on a Saturday night, and felt rushed through our meal as it was clear they needed the table for a later reservation. The food was great and everyone was nice, but the food showed up so quickly and was cleared so quickly that we felt we couldn't linger. All in all, we'll probably come back because the food and ambiance were great.
