Courteous staff with an eye on making your experience fantastic. It was a cold night when we entered, and cold. Every time the door opened, it sent a chill through the restaurant. The staff was fantastic about finding us a table farther from the door. Every dish was well prepared, but the main Ingredient was always masked slightly by the other flavors. Service was brisk, not formal. Very friendly. The atmosphere was as cool as ice. This is where the vampires of Vail feast. Highly recommended, if you're not French aristocrats.

Yummy food. Some of the BEST ribs I have ever eaten. Great asian fusion in some of the foods, which is somewhat hard to find in the area. An interesting / different cocktail menu - some made with infused liquors that Bol makes with local ingredients. Although last time we were in they were out of some things... which is a disappointment if you have a favorite but I guess that's a reason to try something different. Great energetic party feel. We needed to add on to our party and they took care of it with no trouble, which was great!

    Dined on 12/28/2012
Our chicken confit hot wings and trout rillet starters were very good. The trout rillet was excellent, actually. The beef stroganoff main course was very good, but the chicken and dumplings was just "so-so". The chicken itself was good, but the sauce and dumplings were very bland. It wasn't bad, but I would not order the chicken again. Our server was prompt and knowledgeable about the menu.

  • Least pleasant dining experience
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011VIP
    Dined on 3/10/2012
Least pleasant dining experience we've had in Vail. While my short ribs were good, my husband's pork loin was tepid and undercooked. One burger came as ordered but the other came well done instead of medium. We finally got the server's attention to have it redone. 30 minutes later, the 2nd one was still well done. The manager did discount our bill, but the staff in general was indifferent and disinterested. The added chair behind us at the booth made the staff have to squeeze by and the feel too crowded. If you can't get a burger right..... what's the point? I'd stick with a drink at the bar and watching basketball on TV.

Took my son there while on a ski trip. A pretty quiet night but the bowling alleys were full. Waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to us all night. The garlic chips were great. The decor is sleek and modern with a lot of hard services so I imagine it might get loud if crowded. Would go again.

A schizophrenic place. Can't decide between being a nice restaurant or a bowling alley. There definitely needs to be a sound-proof divider between the dining room and the lanes. Simply put, the openness and volume of the bowling lounge area and lanes pretty much ruined having a decent dining experience. It's a shame, really, as the food is very very good.

Seated next to wait stand in an empty restaurant and our waitress ignored us for 20 minutes at a time because she was over sat. Food for one diner arrived 20 minutes after the rest as it was forgotten on the original delivery, far too long to make a mid rare cheeseburger at 5:15 pm in an empty restaurant. The food that did arrive was very good.

  • Horrible from beginning to end!
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 12/31/2011
This was a terrible experience from our greeting from the host to the minute we walked out the door. We were ignored until we asked to be helped. In an empty restaurant, we were given the table closest to the door. We asked to have one of the other tables and were told no. All those empty tables, however, remained open the entire time we dined. A few of our guests ordered the $10 chicken skewers. It turned out to be 5 pieces the size of a finger on a six inch skew and it was DARK MEAT!!! Our entire table was horrified. The $8 blue cheese salad had to cost .50$ in total. The 1/10th wedge of lettuce had a few tomato chunks, a pinch of blue cheese and the dressing had to be made of mostly vinegar. Not one of us could eat it.

I consider mystlef a foodie, so feel good about recommending this resaurant to ohters. We visited during Xmas week. This is a fun spot in Vail that is centrally located and kid friendly (I would say age 10+). Food was a surprising hit with adults and kids alike in our group of 8. Service was terrific and all food was made with a flair and great presentation. After eating you can bowl (reserve separately well in advance) at this restaurant which televises sporting events and Warren Miller ski films at the end of the lanes on 10 ft. screens. Cool contemporary vibe offering fun for all ages. I have never been impressed enough to write a review on Open Table, but visiting this restaurant inspired me. Enjoy.

Great menu selection-something for everyone. Not typical bowling alley/bar food either. Grilled octopus, shrimp or steak skewers, tuna tartare...as well as burgers, pastas, ribs, salads... Unfortunately, the service was terrible that night. No one brought us water and the waitress never came until we asked for both and then she was scarcely seen. The attached bowling lanes look like a great way to have dinner with friends or a kids Bday party Pres ski.

Fun place. I'm not a sports fan so I found the enormous Tvs very distracting butvim sure most people love the sports bar feel. The place was modern and fresh and the food inventive and delicious. I think the food can be summed up in 1 word...BUTTER. We had a great time BOLing, but, found it very overpriced. $50 for 1 hour plus $5 for each pair of shoes. Our server was very nice, but, everything else was ok. If you go be prepared to overspend. I thought it was ok, but would not go back.
