Boiler RoomConsistently the best restaurantConsistently the best restaurant in Omaha and could easily hold its own in a larger city like Chicago.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulousAwesome place for foodies. Wonderful change of pace from the standard Omaha steak house.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden Gem in OmahaElegant, eclectic, friendly and yummy all at once at this wonderful restaurant that would never expect to find in Omaha.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service, will returnCelebrated our anniversary at the Boiler Room 6/7/13. Cocktails are very well done - interesting variations unique liquor options. Wine list is extensive with some decent options by the glass if you so choose. Interesting menu with homemade sausage, frog legs, a fish we'd never heard of from Florida. If you want a burger, this is not your place. If you want gourmet food served with exquisite attention to detail, head to the Boiler Room. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable, without being too stuffy. We'll definitely be back, hopefully soon. Be sure to take advantage of the reserved parking right in front of the restaurant.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific as AlwaysFrom the ambiance to the food everything at The Boiler Room is a stand out experience. One of Omaha's best.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThank GoodnessSo thankful that a restaurant like this is in Omaha. Treated very warmly by the staff. I felt like I was in Chicago....just a great overall feeling. Dinner was fantastic!!!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic experienceFrom start-to-finish the entire experience was top-notch. My wife and I decided to go to the Boiler Room for our anniversary. On my reservation I made a note about our anniversary. As soon as the gentleman took my wife's coat the first "Happy Anniversary" rang out. From that point on things just got better. Tim, the waiter, knew it was our anniversary and made it a point to make mention of it and then provided us with a complimentary glass of rose'. Once we ordered our food he made recommendations for wine and he was spot-on with his choice. The food was beyond outstanding. From the first entree to the dessert - it was simply an incredible dining experience. We are definitely going back.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had oustanding food andWe had oustanding food and service at the Boilerroom - Chef Paul continues to deliver excellence. Can't wait for our next visit.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely fantastic, theAbsolutely fantastic, the food quality is outstanding, ambiance is unsurpassed in Omaha. From the moment you arrive the dining experience is like none other!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous findLove this spot. I've been twice and will certainly go again. It's not cheap dining, but I believe it's reasonable and well worth it. The menu changes regularly and they use fresh, locally harvested produce and meat. Fine drink selection. Wonderful staff, great ambiance , delicious food.
The only things I don't like are the chairs (not quite right for having a nice meal).
Perfect spot for a special occassion meal or drink. Go.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat but a little over done!We took a big client to dinner at Boiler Room. The ratings on Yelp are really what drew me there. The ambiance was just as expected, very warm, inviting and interesting! I was surprised to see the restaurant was not very full, especially when open table showed not many reservation times available. You are encouraged to order three courses, so none of the appetizers were really "shareable", unfortunately. I got the scallops for my first course and they were delicious! The disappointment was my main course, the prosciutto wrapped monk fish. The fish was overcooked and there were too many flavors they tried to incorporate. The spinach was bland as well. I literally left 90% of my fish on the plate :(5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food next to Old MarketVery interesting restaurant in old building just south of the Old Market in Omaha. The food selection is interesting, the food was excellent, and the service was well-paced and attentive. Added note: Diners may park in front, where the restaurant has a row of parking spaces reserved, and may leave the car there all evening for Old Market events. Great experience!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMlocal food--world class deliveryThe chef tries to use locally-sourced food: everything we chose came from within 200 miles. Folowing what seems to be the current trend, the chef also butchers & cures on the premises: One of our starters included tête de cochon. Our waiter was helpful, but not overly so. He helped my wife find a wine she enjoyed from their overwhelmingly ling list. I had a great cocktail (they describe their cocktails as "pre-prohibition" style) which had a rye whiskey (another current trend, it seems) base. We loved the idea that food producers arrive each day with whatever produce they harvested, and the chef decides what to make based on that. Go & enjoy!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMRabbitWe both had the rabbit and loved it. We always enjoy the creativeness of the Boiler Room. We wish we could be in Omaha on a more regular basis because the Boiler Room is a must for us each trip.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA hidden gemThis place is on a very industrial street, in an old building, and they intentionally left all of the pipe, bricks, and other industrial necessities exposed. Kind of a steampunk style restuarant. The lighting is nice with modern lights dropped from the industrial ceilings. They make a lot of their own drinks. I couldn't get my usual Bombay Sapphire martini, but I got a "D's Door" gin martini that was better than my usual. The salmon was from Scotland, and was outstanding. I think it had been seared on a super hot pan, so it had one side that was crunchy and savory, while the rest was still very rare, soft, delicate and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The service was very polite, and everyone was Omaha friendly.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding in OmahaGreat restaurant ...an equal to many top choices in Chicago. Locally grown produce, sustainable choices, interesting setting, and of course fabulous food and fully visible kitchen from above ! Do not write many reviews so really needs to be special.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food continues to amazeThe food continues to amaze us - always new and creative preparations and always outstanding. The chef has a way with melding different flavors beautifully into one dish. We have had the rabbit several times - always slightly different and always memorable. It melted in my mouth. The staff, from the person who greets you at the door to the wait staff are professional, knowledgeable about the food, and unobtrusive in seeing that all your needs are met. Staff get to know patrons over time, which further improves the service. We love sitting on the main froor and watching the chef and his staff preparing the dishes. It is possible to find some good and reasonably priced wines, as well as many expensive ones. A definite favorite.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time toThis was our first time to the Boiler Room and we will certainly return again! The meal was a perfect farm to table experience!! We were pampered by the staff and swooned over the perfectly prepared Alaskan halibut. The perfect dinner ended on a bad note because of perfectly awful decaf.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMIf there were ten stars forIf there were ten stars for service I would check that.
The food is always truly excellent, excellent, excellent.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMTook my wife there for ourTook my wife there for our anniversary, the food was more than amazing, and the service was some of the best I have experienced. They went above and beyond with little details like printing happy anniversary on the menu at our table, and paired amazing wine with our desserts. The manager suggested trying out their special wine nights for food and wine pairing with the vineyards, and we look forward to that.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best places inOne of the best places in Omaha to eat. I loved the ambiance and artwork on the walls. The food was outstanding. You HAVE to order the charcuterie plate. AWESOME. Everything on the menu was presented wonderfully and the flavors were on point. A great experience overall.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Boiler Room ReviewOverall great experience. I have dined here twice and find the food to be good, but not quite worth the price. I had the scallops and they were perfectly prepared, cooked through but not rubbery or overdone. The charcuterie board is good but to add just two small cheeses it totaled $35, which is far more than any other restaurant with a good charcuterie board. service was great...I appreciate the attention to detail like water on the table, crumb clearing, etc. wish the butter was better...cold and nothing to it. A nice sea salt or warm honey butter would be more unique.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOur favorite Restaurant..wonderfulOur favorite Restaurant..wonderful food perfect service and lively noise level....but can still have a conversation.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOur favorite restaurant inOur favorite restaurant in omaha.
