It started a little noisy, but that was mostly due to the excited crowds of people getting ready to see Jerry Seinfeld across the street at the Majestic. Once the crowds cleared out, our servers apologized, although there was no need to. The food was amazing, prepared to perfection. It was one of those meals where you keep eating even though you swear you can't take another bite. The candied jalapenos that they serve before the meal with cream cheese and crostini were so good we got some to take home. I had filet which is tender but can be less flavorful- not so here, it was tender, cooked perfectly and so flavorful! We split a creme brûlée which had the thick hard crust not just a meager sprinkling of caramelized sugar. They brought us glasses of complementary champagne to celebrate Dee's BD- we were ready to go and every table was full. NOW THAT'S CLASS! When I called the waiter over to tell him he'd forgotten to charge us for the jalapeños he smiled and said "too late now". Never rushed us. Can't say enough how at ease they put us. Although service was sometimes slow (even thought they boast three people here to serve a table) due to our main waiter also serving a large group in the next room. Aside from that, the food is superb. The crab appetizer along with the seared tuna is amazing. This is our second visit. My husband had the Japanese red-haired beef and absolutely loved it. I had the colossal lump crab entree and the pieces of crab were enormous and wonderful. The table had the baked oysters, watermelon salad, and jumbo prawn for appetizers. Wow!!! I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions or a romantic date night. Our server was so very professional and passionate about all the food items offered. Though pricey, this restaurant is so worth it. The moment we entered the restaurant we felt special yet the attention was not overdone. We received a comfortable booth in a great location with a view of the entire room. The clientele was mostly groups of men or men with a date/spouse. I noticed there were several large conventions in SA that week so was not surprised by the customer makeup. The food and service were perfect with good communication about the menu and well trained servers. Wine list is not large but good quality. Orders were prepared and served properly. I was given a free glass of champagne to recognize my birthday. We spend the whole week leading up to the celebration talking about how excited we are to go back to Bohanan's. The Chateaubriand savory flavor was cause to just hold the piece of steak in your mouth. Surprisingly it was so tender that it seem to melt in your mouth as you held the piece to savor the flavor. The steamed fresh asparagus and carrots were perfectly prepared Al Dente. You are served a pentiful amount, which means you may not have room for some of the amazing desserts that are on the menu. The wine list was so extensive, but a skilled Wine Steward is on staff. Well, if you are rating a restaurant 5-star, you can only imagine how wonderful the service is.

We usually pass on steak restaurants since I don't like steak. Their menu has something on it for everyone. If your pettite like me or just don't eat a whole lot but want to try something new; I recomend the foie gras. It is searesd with and nicley placed atop of fluffy frech toast with a pear halve in honey glaze. The escargot was a great appetizer too. The caprese salad was the best we've ever had. Leisurely pace, never felt rushed. The candied jalapenos are amazing. We had the bone in ribeye which was very good, so slightly disappointed we could not say it was the best steak ever, but it was REALLY good. The less expensive wines we chose by the glass were still quite good. The flaky apple tart for dessert was excellent as was the tequila crema that our waiter suggested as an after dinner drink.
