Diner Reviews
  • "Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Looking for a quiet romantic evening ... NOT. Not what we were looking for but we were pleasantly surprised by atmosphere, ambiente & food. The server was attentive & helpful with food selection. Only drawback was that the red sangria was just OK. We will be returning, just not for a quiet evening out lol. We do Recommend it for the food. Bandeja Paisa was huge & grilled salmon was very tasty."

The food is DELICIOUS. This place is realy fun and the food is delicious. The arepas are great! My friend ordered paella and LOVED it and I orderd a grilled chicken dish. We shared some guac and had a wonderful time! I would definitely recommend this place.....and I'll keep going back!!!"

  • "Service could have been better, especially considering the mandatory $10 p/person added to bill, and wished it were more spacious but the food is good and dessert even better."

  • "I took my wife, daughter and sister-in law to celebrate my wife's birthday. This was for 3 adults and 1 child. My wife and her sister ordered 1 entrée together and I ordered one. My Daughter ordered from the kids meal. All of us ordered drinks (non-happy hour prices). The food and service was very good until we received the check. I was surprised that the check was for 153 dollars (includes tip). I should of complained about the check but since it was my wife's birthday I did not say anything. We will not return to Latin Bogota. We prefer to go to Roosevelt, Queens where you can have dinner for 4 adults at +/-100.00. My Wife liked the food and she had a good time. It's a good thing she did not see the check!"

  • "For those of us with gluten allergies, dining out can sometime be hard. I was thrilled to see the vast array of GF options on the menu! The Domino cornmeal empanada really hit the spot. Also check out their house sauces. So delicious!"

  • "Great food always fun to go to. Was a little annoyed they ran out if the plantain chips which was a first. But all had a good time"

  • "We were seated right away because I had made a reservation weeks in advance. I had stated it was a "birthday dinner" for my wife upon making the reservation, the staff failed to acknowledge it even after they mentioned it during a confirmation phone call regarding my reservation. Nevertheless, our server was excellent and our food was amazing. I strongly recommend the margaritas. It is a small place so I would not recommend a larger party (5+). Excellent, authentic spanish food."

  • "This place from the beginning to end was a delightful experience. I had a group of 9 so we took up a few tables. Reservations are highly recommended because it can get really packed. The food was great. I had the Colombian platter, which was really good. The meat was very juicy. The amazing service started at the door. The guy was extremely nice and never stopped smiling. They have a lot of great choices of food. I would definitely come back again and again and again."

  • "Since going to Bogota numerous times it has always been one of my favorite restaurants to visit. The servers have always been very friendly and welcoming each time I have been there (which is many). The dishes and drinks are always delicious and I never have tried anything that I have not enjoyed. I will continue to visit Bogota for brunch/dinner !"

  • "I was excited to try this restaurant from all the reviews. I'm not sure what type of food these other reviewers are used to eating but this was not delicious....it was plain old food. We enjoy fresh food on the gourmet side. It was extremely busy when we arrived but were seated within 10 minutes. The waiter was very attentive and was available to answer all questions. We had the Empanada Sampler and, quite frankly they were not good. We had the Salmon--it was dry. The potatoes, tasteless. Breakfast Tacos and the mixture inside did not look fresh at all & no flavor, Bandeja Paisa (Colombian Platter)--also tasteless. I feel badly posting this but this is what we experienced. If you want sit down fast food.....this is the place to go."

  • "My girlfriend and I popped into this neighborhood gem. It was my first time but I was very pleased. I had a lulu fruit caipirinha to drink, which was delicious. Then, we shared the plata con queso--delicious!! For entree, I has the jalapeño grilled catfish with kale and Gallo pinto for sides. All excellent choices! Though we were stuffed, we shared the churros for dessert and had no regrets. Service was impeccable. I'm definitely going back! Oh and try their sauces!!"

  • "The place was cramp, to many tables to close together, you couldn't move without disturbing a person from a different table. The drinks where pretty good and the food was good, specially the portion of food served, no need for a doggy bag. They should have some Spanish music playing, which they didn't. All in all with the company I was with I had a great time."

  • "We enjoyed a good lunch with a couple of great drinks. I order the Brazilian Sangria and could swear that it had guava in it. Everything was delicious. Kid friendly place. So maybe tell your waiter you want a more kid free zone."

  • "This wasn't my first time having dinner at Bogota and it was, as always, delicious! The menu gives you lots of choices for whatever your in the mood for. The fish tacos I had were satisfying and have some kick if you want some spice. The famous empanadas are also a good choice and different unique filling combinations are offered. The server was attentive and helpful to us. I went on a Saturday night and the ambiance was vibrant. It is a great place to go with friends, but the small tables toward the back are a little to close together for my comfort. You feel as if the people next to you are part of your conversation. Other than that my experience was great and I will definitely be back."

  • "I'm from Cali, Colombia so I know well about the food taste it wasn't to bad but they can improve. The service was bad the hosts was looking at the table and asking if we order somenthing else yo see if she can bring more people in for the table. The mojitos in special the colombian was just lemon and soda no alcohol taste. We ask for a shot of Cristal aguardiente and we receive Valle. Unforyunately we don't go back again."

  • "Visited NYC and this gem was recommended to me by two separate friends. Started with coconut margaritas and I was sold from then. The empanada sampler was amazing and I had the paella as an entree (my eyes were bigger than my stomach). Tons of food, great drinks, fantastic friends--I couldn't ask for a better dining experience."

  • "We go to Bogota as frequently as we can, but this time, we invited my parents to join us for my husband's 55th birthday celebration. My parents are in their late 80s, so I was a bit worried about how they would take to the noisy, vibrant Bogota scene. I needn't have worried; they loved it! It was too noisy for them, as it was for us as well, but they loved the atmosphere, the service and the food. I recommend Bogota to everyone for just about any dinner."

  • "Once again- fresh, vibrant, delicious Latin food with friendly service."

  • "They were very friendly and accommodating. They even charged my phone for me (I had my own charger) while we ate, which was great because it was low and we were going to a concert afterwards. The service was also quick, considering how busy they were. Also, the food was outstanding and there were a ton of things to choose from on the menu."

  • "Food was great, no surprise there. What was a surprise was the fact they overbooked, and had make shift seating with terrible chairs and little folding tables which you could only situate your legs on out side of table staff kept banging into customers and tables which wobbled on plank flooring."

  • "Bogota is the best in latin cuisine. The menu is very diverse in the many latin influences and have something for everyone. In the past seven years i have tried pretty much everything that is on the menu and have yet been disappointed. A must for all first time visitors should be the Bandeja Paisa, a Columbian dish fit for a farmer. Bogota has an awesone selection of cocktails that range from sweet tasting infused with fruit, not overwhelmingly sweet, to something strong for the true spirits enthusiast. My personal favorite is the "Mojito Columbiano" made with agua ardiente which is a columbian native rum. The dessert menu does'nt fall far behind and is to die for."

  • "I always love coming here!!! Their Bendeja Paisa is so delicious!! I tried their tortilla soup and it was the best soup I've ever had!! The amount of chicken and spicy taste was AMAZING!! Oh and of course their Sangrita it also a drink I can't live without!! I come here often and I'm never disappointed!"

  • "We really enjoy the varied menu - it's all delicious. We asked for details and suggestions from our server, and she was honest and helpful. We've been to Bogota several times. The second time we were there, we brought a friend from Colombia, and he raved about the authentic cuisine - he said he felt like he was home. This time, we were celebrating our daughter's birthday. When it was time to look at the dessert menu, my son suggested that my daughter choose, "since it's your birthday" - and he gave a wink to our server. When dessert was brought out, the serving staff came with song and candles, and the other diners joined in. Needless to say, our daughter was pleased and surprised. It was a memorable time for us."

  • "Second time here because the first time was absolutely AMAZING, but the food this time was kind of " ehhh. " Considering the bill for two came out to be over $100 food could have been a lot better. At least service and drinks were good though ."
