Diner Reviews
  • "This is one of our "go to" places for date night and entertaining out-of-town visitors. The food is always excellent and the staff and chef acommodating."

  • "Quaint little neighborhood spot. Entrees were a bit underwhelming and the bread seemed dry like yesterday's left-overs. Drinks were good and service very friendly and attentive. Sauces need a little work toward freshness. Overall, just OK."

  • "They were very accommodating to our 14 person party, and the service was great. The food was top notch, everyone in our family gathering enjoyed their food, and the house red wine was very nice. I intend to back here on a date with my wife in the near future, as it looks like a nice place for a cozy dinner (beside being a great place for a large group)."

  • "I took a customer to lunch and had an excellent lunch, a lunch I would have paid far more for at other restaurants, but, not as good. Salad was nice and fresh, with a lot of good veggies, Pasta dish I had was excellent, better than most good Italian restaurants. Very happy, will go again, and more often."

  • "Dinner wuith friends before a concert and service was very good -- attentive & personable (only hitch was serving soup for one of the guests while rest of table waited for the 1st course of weekend special). The weekend spercial at $25 was a "great choice." We all agreed we waould do a weekend special and enjoy it at a leisurely pacce and not worry abbout going to annother event."

  • "The food was great, and the service was great. I put ambience as good just because I like brighter rooms. It would be great for those that don't like the bright lights."

  • "Had not heard of this place but went there as third choice from opentable search. Good value and tasty well cooked food, I particularly recommend the prix fixe menu. Service was adequate despite being a very busy Saturday night. Only issue we had was that they had no record of our open table reservation."

  • "we were able to book last minute reservations for their New Years Eve Pre-Fixed menu. It was delicious. They were busy, but non the less very attentive and accomodating."

  • "We went there on New Year's Eve for an early dinner. We arrived close to 5:30 and were immediately greeted and seated. We opted for the price fix menu and we were not disappointed at all. Overall good value and the food was very good. I had the ravioli's and Sheila had the steak, which was really outstanding. Six course dinner was very good, the timing of each course was perfect and the portions were enough to satisfy my usually large apetite. The cocktails and wine were priced very reasonable, and the coffee they served was really, really good. The staff was very friendly and they seem to really care about their customers. I asked them to confirm my reservation I made on Open Table. They called me that morning and did exactly that."

  • "Great friendly place with good food at really nice pricing. Looks a bit funky but the people and food make it Very Good."

  • "All three of us ordered the fixed price menu, which was a good deal. Appetizers, soup, salad, entree, and dessert. We were able to substitute the steak as an entree, although it wasn't one of the items on the fixed menu. The steak was very tender. The veal was descent, although the sauce was too subtle."

  • "The Minestrone made want to come back the next day for more. It was delicious, hearty on a cold night. Server was friendly, helpful and not over bearing. We will be back!!"

  • "What a surprise to find a good Italian restaurant on 7th! Dinner before an event with the parents -- the lasgna and the spaghetti were "hits!" Both Sean & Charleen loved it even more the following day. And the homemade tiramisu -- yummy & comparable to the one I had up in Seattle (from the Tom Hanks' move Sleepless in Seattle)!"

  • "Wee neighborhood Italian restaurant presenting a huge treat for diners. Service is charming, discreet & nicely paced. Well chosen wines, some not on list. Prix fixe dinners, small but nicely representational main menu. Staff seem truly delighted to make off-menu items & combine menu items to request ("if we have the ingredients, we'll make it for you", with a huge smile!). Caprese salad elegantly tasty, dressed in a simple balsamic reduction exploding with flavor. Fresh garden pea soup was delightful & plentiful; tasty house-made bread; breathtakingly well-crafted entrees; house-made tiramisu & panna cotta; all rival the best we've tasted & all modestly priced. Check the menu on-line - Bocci is an unrivaled gem of the PacNW."

  • "The service was excellent, they were friendly and timely. The food was very good, my Italian friend from Philly was very pleased with the food we had. The bread was great, the salads were amazing, and the pizza was very good. I would highly recommend this place for a fun dinner with friends or family, especially if you want Italian food. The menu offered a great selection of Italian favorites and the special menu for the night looked amazing. We wanted to eat light so we went with salad and the Margherita Pizza. We asked for two garden salads. They suggested we do one garden and one of the special salads from the dinner menu. It was really amazing, a mix of greens and vegetables with warm pasta."

  • "It was our first time to Bocci's and it will not be our last. I'm just surprised it took us six years to find it! Thank you Open Table!! There were five of us for dinner; three had the pre fix dinner, one of us had lasagna and I had the Italian calazon. While the pre fix dinner changes all the time, two diners had the veal shank and one had the cod. Everyone thought their meals were great. We all had a cup of an exceptional minnestrone soup with italian sausage as well. We paired our meal with a nice bottle of inexpensive Italian wine that was great for the purpose."

  • "A nice neighborhood feel. Calzone and pesto pasta were just so-so. Steak was perfect as we're ravioli and the tomato soup. We will go back just because the server was so good and to sample a few other dishes. Prices here are more than fair and the portions very adequate."

  • "I really wanted to like this place because it is neighborhood joint, family-owned and run. It is small and cozy, AND Italian--all the things I generally love. However, we did not enjoy our dinner--it wasn't horrible, but it was far enough down on the scale that you should really try one of the dozens of other places in town."

  • "Family fun neighborhood restaurant that was worth the trip across the river for us. Food was delicious, prices were more than reasonable, and the service was as pleasant as could be. We would definitely go back."

  • "Really good food, wonderful service, super comfortable atmosphere and moderate prices -- we loved it and will be back again soon. Bocci's does not attempt to be fancy or high-brow; it's just awesome Italian cooking in a warm, friendly atmosphere. You feel like you're in your grandma's dining room eating a meal she worked on all day; and the house wine is so much better than anything she used to serve!"

  • "Went to Bocci with a group of 12 people for a Birthday dinner. Atmosphere was cozy, friendly and warm, service was excellent and the food was very good. The price point was also very resonable. Would most certainly go back (this time just the two of us), and would certainly go back for another special event. Thank you Bocci, very nice evening!"

  • "We enjoyed the food at Bocci's but it's quite small and seemed understaffed. As far as I could tell, there were only 2 people working there and that made service very slow. I'm guessing the server was helping out in the kitchen because she would disappear for chunks of time. Both soups were excellent and the mushroom ravioli was also very good. If you go, wear a sweater; we were all so cold we kept out coats on during dinner."

  • "A surprise find in an area of town where you wouldn't expect such great food. Everything was quite tasty. The service was friendly and attentive."

  • "Very nice & simple little neighborhood Italian hang-out. They are making a nice effort on a sophisticated menu. The friends I was with didn't want to eat much, so I had just the antipasti plate (excellent!) and a salad (ho-hum). BOth of my friends loved their tomato-basil soups. I'll definitely find another chance to go back & try some of their more ambitious menu items (such as saltimboca:)). The lady who served us was terrific--very friendly and accomodating. We were there early (5pm), and I was happy to see that the place had pretty much filled up by the time we left."

  • "Wow! What a great meal. From the Bruschetta to the steak, it was all delicious, and served by a very warm group of people. The steak was very tender and flavorful, and cooked a real medium rare. I would Recommend Bocci's to anyone looking for a great meal, ambiance, and friendly service."
