  • "The "oriental look" girl in the entrance send us to the bar to wait and we saw how she seat a couple first than us. We had reservations and we wait more than 20 minutes. Also the same girl insist to leave open the door that go to the terraces even we tall them that where super windy and we where cold and uncomfortable, she was rude and no friendly at all. I love this place but every time that I go from now on and I see this girl, the experiences won't be pleasant, in fact I will uncomfortable. The Services Girl, was another story and she knows how to take care of the people she is serving. She was really go and I happy to come back, because of her and the food."

  • "The hostess was very sweet, the place was nicely decorated. We ordered lamb meatballs which was very tasty. Unfortunately the good times ended there. I ordered the pasta special and my husband ordered a pizza also on the specials list. My pasta consisted of maybe 5 mini tortellini sized bites. The sauce was watery and included frozen peas which were tasteless. I am really not joking about the 5 bites. My husband's pizza had a lot of sauce and barely any cheese, more than 2/3 of the pizza had no cheese at all only sauce. Since we were still hungry we made the mistake of ordering a chocolate desert. It was nothing special. A $170 bill for a disappointing lunch means we will not be coming back."

  • "Our second visit to Bocce Bar was as good as the first one. We had a roasted beet salad and the carote al forno. This time the carrots were a bit mushy but still good. The swordfish was perfectly cooked. The ravioli di melanzane were simple but good. As walways, the desserts are divine. Again, we had the cannoli and also a millefeuille. Will definitely return."

  • "This was our second visit. A friend brought us here a couple of weeks ago and we had a great meal, so when our daughter came home for spring break with six friends, Bocce was our top choice for showing off Miami's exciting dining scene. We made a good choice. Everyone raved about the food, and one guest proclaimed that it was the best meal she's ever had. Some of our favorites: all of the cheeses, kale Caesar, pasta bolognese, chicken, lamb shank and carrots. (I'm sure the beef short rib would have made the list, too, but it was 86'd.) For dessert, we had the panna cotta (excellent), Nutella sundae (even better) and the cannoli (out of this world, and nothing like a traditional cannoli, of which I'm not a fan). Can't wait to go back."

  • "We were there early on a Sunday evening prior to a performance at the Arsht, so it was pretty quiet, but the food was really delicious. The pastas and the vegetables were amazing and reminded me of being in Italy. Many options for vegetarians/pescatarians. We will definitely be back."

  • "Really surprised by the varied menu and everything we had was delicious. The restaurant is a bit loud and wish the cocktail menu was more varied - seemed to be all prosecco and campari. Will definitely go back."

  • "Great food, many delicious choices. Booth was beautiful and comfortable. Service outstanding. Ambiance is just right, fun but not overly noisy. Easy parking. A classy place and a real find!"

  • "Great Food, the only thing is that on Friday, the the 21st we experienced a two-hr wait for a mere table."

  • "It was a nice environment. The staff was really nice. Pricing is a bit expensive but not bad for special occasions. I would definitely return."

  • "First impression - buzzy ambiance, uncomfortable chairs, martini in really small glass. We waited some time for our starters and when they came we were struck by the unbelievably measly size of the prosciutto and burrata antipasti. Mains however were very good, branzino and pastas, but the side dish of cauliflower, though delicious, was a joke for $10. Desserts were back to miniscule. These portions are not European or italian, they are Lilliputian! A great shame because the food was actually very good, but I think the management seems to really rethink their portion policy......"

  • "Three visits, and other than Kale, Cauliflower, Salumi and Swordfish, a big disappointment. Am major fan of Sugar Cane and my Mom Italian born so spent my summers traveling throughout Italy! Cooking is inconsistent, meatballs which were fab first time, mushy next. Pastas cooked well but bland. Special ravioli tasted out of a box, far cry from Reggio Emilia. They need some serious Nonni power in the kitchen to kick it up. I'm a neighbor & want Tim to succeed."

  • "busboys need to be trained properly, I was there twice this week and both time I wasn't done and the busboy picked up my male friend plate while I was actually eating, so annoying and rude"

  • "Overall it was good, but we reserved for 10.00 pm and we got seated at 11.00 pm. Also, they need to improve on the service"

  • "Considering that Bocce Bar is new, I don't want to hold the service against them, but it was awfully awkward. It took an inordinate amount of time to speak to a waiter once seated. We got our bread, oil and butter (which were exceptional) within a few minutes of being seated, but did not get water or a waiter until at least five minutes later. We ordered the Porchetta, Polenta, Mushroom Tagliatelle and Gnochetti. All the dishes were excellent. Especially the gnochetti. After having the appetizers and entrees, our silverware was set again for another entree, but we didn't have one coming. We informed our waiter, who apologized and then took our dessert order. We had the choco/nutella dessert & Tiramisu which were both disappointments"

  • "What a wonderful experience! After having a less than stellar valentines day dinner we went to Bocce Bar to make up for it...and then our dinner surpassed our expectations. The place was packed and our waiter seemed busy so the manager came and took our drink orders which was wonderful. The cocktails were delicious (try the Bocce Ball, yum) and we ordered a few appetizers and some pastas. The duck orecchiette was the standout dish for me. The nutella torte was amazing for dessert, and to top it all off, the lemon marshmallows were little pillows of heaven. I can not wait to return!"

  • "The food and the service are superb. Italian with a modern flair. Truly pleased with the service, the menu selection and the presentation of the food, flavorful and well prepared. It could take the lighting down a but for dinner would be my only suggestion to management."

  • "pleased to have found this newbie restaurant. the entire dining experience was terrific---the menu, the service, drinks, timeliness of food arrival, all. a very interesting and eclectic mix, all with an italian twist. enjoyed!!!!!!"

  • "This place is overrated, the food is average to bad, my wife had the pasta with lobster in a red sauce that was nothing excited, the sauce look and tasted like a red sauce out of a can and the lamb shack that I order had to be send back because it was gamely and had a horrible odor and taste, I them order the Lamb meatballs and I went from bad to worse. Save your self the time and money and go elsewhere."

  • "This was my first time in to Bocce Bar and was quite impressed. We sat outside so we didn't really get the vibe of the restaurant, but liked the relaxed atmosphere in the outdoor setting & that you could play bocce ball. The food was outstanding -- in quality, preparation and presentation -- and loved the modern take on classic dishes. Favorites included the selection of meats & cheeses, the grilled octopus and tiramisu. Will definitely be back."

  • "Walked into the old Sustain property and almost wished Bocce was there the whole time. This is a great spot for any occasion. Love it!"

  • "We were a table of four with high hopes and left with exceeded expectations having been met. We ordered a mix of small plates and two entrees and everything was flavorful, well-presented and delicious. We particularly liked the lamb & goat cheese meat balls and the orecchiette & duck pasta. The menu seemed a bit strange but once plates starting arriving it felt like the same comfort we get with eating at Sugar Cane (their sister restaurant). I highly recommend Bocce Bar for a casual and comfortable dinner with friends or large groups."

  • "The Sugercane group can add another hit to Midtown. The concept was great. Watching young beautiful people playing Bocce Ball while you dine on Italian Tapas. The meatballs are outstanding. The heirloom tomatoes and mozzerela were good. The free foccacia twith the tomatoes was delicious, but I would lose the spam like procuitto. The brick flattened chicken was moist and wonderful. Their passion fruit Panna Cotta is one of the best we have had. The consistancy was perfect. I think we have a winner."

  • "We started with the Ricotta Di Bufala, with pumpkin and shaved truffle. Ricotta is usually bland but the other ingredients elevated it. It was slightly sweet and creamy. We also had the Thumbelina Carrots with mascarpone and pistachio granola. The sweetness of the carrots comes through and the granola adds a lovely crunch. We also shared the Orecchiette duck sugo with roasted butternut squash, my favorite dish. And we also shared the Grilled Swordfish with tomato fregola, preserved lemon, capers. The fish was cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive. It is on the expensive side because you end up ordering many things, but definitely worth it. My only complaint: the music is too loud."

  • "first they have bocce. the menu comes from a tipical italian "trattoria" or bar. great for aperitivo as well dinners."

  • "The food was very tasty, however the portion size was ridiculously small and ridiculously expensive! Also, they skimp you on the drinks. They give a 3oz pour for wine and the cocktails are piled high with ice and low with liquid. This place could be great if they gave bigger portions, fuller drinks, and lower prices."
