BoccaGreat Italian restaurantexperience! The food, service, decor and ambiance were all outstanding! We came up from Philadelphia, which has a few great restuarants of its own, and were impressed!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day GiftDon't know why this restaurant currently has a B rating as everything was A+ for our mother's day celebration. We had a wonderful table, very good food and great service by an authentic Italian server who provided us with the names of restaurants to visit during our upcoming trip to Italy. When the bill arrived, mom's dinner was on the house! When does that happen, especially on a day when most restaurants exploit the day with overpriced menu items. We'll surely be back to Bocca.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood foodGood food. Went on a Sunday and found the service to be good but somewhat slow. It seemed that maybe they were short staffed5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our fifth visit toThis was our fifth visit to Bocca and it continues to impress. The food is the star at this place though the wine list is stellar as well. Dining at Bocca is usually an event because of the enthusiastic management and staff. This time as a bit low key, actually quiet with the food again the star.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place!Food and service was excellent. The music was a little loud making it difficult to carry on a conversation with all (table of 6).4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA genuine, warm and welcomingA genuine, warm and welcoming staff from as soon as we walked in the door. The food was exceptional and the service was perfectly orchestrated. An overall wonderful experience. I would recommend this place to anyone. And I can't wait to return myself, especially to try the prix fix pig dinner :-)4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is great from here andFood is great from here and the service is impeccable! Must try the rigatoni alla Roma!4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMNot the first time here. Not the first time here. Like all the other times - the food was perfect and the staff friendly and helpful. This time - the wine was half price so everything was even better.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat location, great foodVery good food. Staff was very friendly. Food came quickly, and was delicious! Highly recommend.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMdelicious food, simply.again, we had a wonderful meal and took our family on this treat. loooooove the meatballs :0 of course we will be back and the short ribs was a to die for, almost! deliciously prepared food ( and this is from someone who takes a lot of convincing when it comes to italian restaurants).3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service were amazingFood and service were amazing - WOW! This will be my first stop for dinner the next time I return to NYC.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to grab dinnerGreat place to grab dinner and catch up with an old friend. The staff is friendly, the food is great, and the atmosphere is welcoming.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my third visit toThis was my third visit to Bocca and it was generally.good. The spaghetti Cacio e Pepe was the best I've had. The olive oil cake with.rosemary gelato was delicious and original. My only complaint was that the baccala was actually salt cod and should have been identified as such. It was also insufficiently cooked so it was a little hard. But we'll go back. Love the wine in quartino. It's just the right amount!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful Italian diningSuperb dining experience! Excellent food in a lovely setting with warm and accommodating staff.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved it!! The restaurantWe loved it!! The restaurant week menu was terrific; Paolo, our server, was outstanding. We will return!1/22/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfection PLUS Nicolo di StefanoAlways PERFECT. THE neighborhood gem! The food is great, the ambiance up-scale and relaxed, 'Roman Service'. And, I would nominate the Host, Nicolo diStefano, as the Host of the Year EVERY YEAR! Once you've dined there, you become a regular, you can't stay away. Family, friends, out-of-town visitors, everyone always loves it and leaves with at smile and just waiting to tell everyone their 'secret' place. Enjoy...1/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss it!!Always GREAT. The one and only 'you are in authentic Italy' restaurant to dine in. Anything goes, but my favorites are the Eggplant Timbale (made a la minute), the salads, the pastas (the boar ragu), as I said-anything goes. But right now I am locked into the Caci e Pepi, served at table side in the a Telaggio (?? spelling) cheese wheel, as the you watch each strand of hot pasta you savor richly enrobed by the melting cheese. Savor it slowly in the first class touch of a really hot bowl. Don't rush. Can't stop thinking about it and introducing only my best (!!) friends to this dish. And always a nod to the GM, Food Historian, Incredible Host... Nicolo di Stefano. He makes everyone's dinner theirs alone.12/24/2012 12:00:00 AMSuper any and every time!!Totally hooked on this little GEM of a restaurant. The food is delicious, the crowd is friendly and happy ... and that's all 'the fault' of Nicolo di Stephano, the General Manager. You can't SEE how well you're being treated, you just feel it and you're happy there. My absolute favorite dish, Pasta Cacio e Pepe, wether it's a light meal (with a green salad or an octopus salad as a starter) or to have the wheel of cheese brought out and the hot pasta tossed in it until every strand is covered as an appetizer (for 1 - 2 or more people, $18 pp) and then a beautiful dish of fish or rabbit or anything NIco would recommend to you. The Tiramusi is a lovely light (go figure that!) dessert. Enjoy.. it's a great wonderful 'find'.12/19/2012 12:00:00 AM
