We enjoyed a wonderful meal before a play. The beef carpaccio starter I had was superb and my friends said their arrancini were the best they had ever had. My mahi magi main course (special) was also delicious & the saffron creme brûlée was divine!!!

We were seated in a quiet table close to the window which was great for conversation and people watching too. We shared the beet salad and it was beautifully presented and also delicious. The pasta with lamb ragu sauce was quite good as was the salmon. Drinks were exotic and tasty. The restaurant was close to the theater and the experience was enjoyable and delicious.

Was here for 1st time for both brunch and lunch the following week. The resto is very nicely decorated w/good decor. Efficient and friendly wait staff. And the food is above par with good prices. My only negative is that there was a DJ at a Saturday brunch so the music was intrusive & unwelcomed. I will be back - but during the week most likely

Very nice menu, wine list. Good service. We thoroughly enjoyed our two appetizers. They were well presented, a lot to eat, and delicious. We shared our entrée. Pasta with meat sauce. Perfect after the plentiful appetizers. Tea and a shared dessert. Lovely meal with no rush before going to the theater.

I miss Italy and the food everyday since I've vacationed there last year. Our wine, prosciutto, and whole milk mozzarella was amazing! They made a special appetizer just for me as I described what I loved in Italy. You can't beat a server that's willing to go talk to the chef and discuss what a customer wants. I've never had that before! We had at least 3 different servers looking out for us, not to mention the host was very kind as well. Five star experience. I couldn't even believe it! Best meal and experience in months :)!

Had dinner here with my daughter for her birthday. The food looked and tasted perfect including the dessert. I had fresh pasta with lamb bouillabaisse sauce she had the salmon. Both were cooked to perfection. We both ordered salads which we finished with pleasure. I wish I could have taken my leftovers with me but we were going to a show. Be aware if you order a glass of wine it is a different price $18 (almost double) than the 3oz taster $10 and the quality wasn't worth it. Better to get a bottle or a cocktail. With two salads, two entrees, one glass of wine and dessert our bill came to $105, not including tip.

Very good foo, lovely ambiance, wonderful people! We ended up at wrong location (although only wrong one showed up on Google) and they couldn't have been nicer. Offered to fit us in but with a wait. Instead, manager called the right location and offered to pay cab fare to get us there. We had a great table and enjoyed the evening.

Wonderful food, interesting combinations and lovely people. The octopus though not uncommonly paired with celery and potato rose above the norm with its perfectly grilled tenacle and silken sauce. I even ate the potato slices. Skewered jumbo shrimp in a spicy sauce was so good I was tempted to order another dish of it. The special salad of burrata, watermelon, arugala & proscuitto was exquiste. The special main course combining three different fishes was so good as to be hoarded by its usually generous orderer. The noise level was a serious distraction, but in their concern for our overall experience, the music was turned down at our request. Some baffling would go a long way. The chef already has.

Booked here as a result of online searching for restaurants with late nite dining. Moderately priced, food ok (wife was very pleased with her entrée, mine was alright. Waiter brought wrong salad to my wife, but she ate it anyway and enjoyed it as she likes beets (she had ordered a Caprese) Capucino wasn't very good.

We usually go to the sister restaurant further up ninth avenue between 55/56th so this was our first time trying this location. All our favorite dishes tasted just as good as ever. The setting was upbeat. Only slight negative was that it was hard to get the waiters attention and we had to chase him a number of times throughout the evening - Including when we wanted to pay the bill! But overall a very enjoyable experience.

Myself and some friends have reserved some tables (3 tables of 4 people at 6PM, 3 tables of 4 people at 6:30PM). When we got to the restaurant at 6:30PM, only 2 groups of 6PM have been seated and 1 was still waiting. The restaurant didn't have any available table and we had to wait more than 1 hour to have eveyone seated. Definetly they don't respect reservations made through Open Table.

Our second visit and not disappointed! Both dinners were early Sundays, and so quiet-like you can have a conversation-and attentive service. Not sure how it would play out later at night. They were out of a less costly wine, so we had to substitute, but that's ok. Just wondering if the cheaper one is ever in stock?? ;0) Food nicely prepared and presented. Nice portions, as well.

Some dishes presented well as the were served but just didn't have any depth of flavour. Also, I had the chicken entree which was dry and totally tough on one side from over cooking. The sauce looked okay but again did not have any depth of flavour. They were out of the wine I first ordered and the remain selection was an odd collection given the possibilities of Italy. The room is pretty nice but we got stuck at the front door not completely out of the flow in and out of the front door so not a great experience overall.

My girlfriends and I chose this restaurant after attending a matinee in the area. The show ended earlier than we expected and we arrived to the restaurant at least 45 minutes prior to our reservation. The hostess was very accommodating and seated us immediately. The restaurant is very pleasing to the eye with a great bar in front and an excellent wine list. Our waiter was a very nice young man who made an excellent, and affordale wine recommendation. The food was great. We started with 3 appetizers to share: Bruscetta ai Funghi, Afffettati Misti and Formaggi Misti. We went on to order individual pasta dishes and finished with one order of the Profiterole for dessert. An excellent meal with excellent service. Would definitely return.

food was good (eggplant appetizer, caprese salad); lamb shank was very good, and service was good - On service: so attentive bordered on interruptions; 1 waiter brings bread but the 2nd waiter removes bread plates (?); tables so tight waiter could not properly serve - example - could not reach water glasses or get plates< I easily passed them, this is commentary on how smooshed tables are, even for NY> dropped used silverware on my husband (awkward). Would not return - again it was good but not awesome -

The food was excellent, starting with the cheese and mushroom bruschetta, and continuing with the grilled lamb chops and grilled Branzino. The Broccoli Rabe was also very good - not bitter. Service was quick and efficient, with water glasses being refilled without request. We finished with plenty of time for a leisurely walk to the theater. Highly recommended.

Was looking for someplace with reasonably priced food with good reviews near the theatre and found it! It's good to have a new restaurant to go to. Boccaccio is really pleasant and the food is very good. We each had a fish dish -- one Branzino and one a Scicilian style monkfish. Both were cooked perfectly and well presented. I chose a reasonably priced Barbella and was pleasantly surprised with the structure. Definitely a new restaurant on my list.

We were shopping around Manhattan and found ourselves there a half hour before our reservation. "No Problem!" Said the host, we just set your table. From the Calamary to the short ribs, everything was well cooked and presented perfectly. Would definitely recommend the place.
