Our party of four enjoyed our recent dinner at this theater district restaurant. The food was very good - especially the mushroom Bruschetta appetizer, and service was quick and professional. Noise level is tolerable, and prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

From all the reviews we read we expected a really nice dinner but our meal and service was beyond our expectations from the time we were greeted by the hostess to the time we left. We love raw oysters and saw they were having a $1.00 special in the bar area and when we spoke to the hostess she was able to sit us a wonderful table in the bar area and we were just in heaven..had two dozen wonderful oysters! We had a Variety of entrees which included fish, lamb and steak and everything was yummy. Thank you for putting a wonderful finish to our day in the city.

We saw this restaurant on the Food Channel so when we were in NYC and going to the theater we had to go there! The food was great...pasta fresh and wine list very very good. We ate before the theater so the restaurant was only filling up as we left. I will definitely go back to this one and also the one in Hell's Kitchen.

Went to the theater yesterday and had dinner here for the first time. Very nice looking restaurant and a great selection of everything on menu. Our salads were delish and entrees of lamb chops and lamb shank were great as well. They were happy to make vegetable substitutions for me as well. Will definitely return as this is a great additional to the theater district.

My wife and I were in NYC for a long weekend and had seen another location for this restaurant featured on the Food Network. There is a Burnt Wheat Pasta that was featured and I was interested. It's hard to put into words a true description of how it was, but I can honestly say that it was good, but not great. My wife ordered the special - it was Chicken Parmesan with house-made spaghetti noodles and sauce. This is not necessarily meant as criticism, but the sauce tasted like it came out of a can of a certain Chef that most of us grew up with. It's not that it wasn't good, but for the special and the price, we had hoped for more. Our waiter - wasn't rude, but was not attentive and didn't really seem to be "there".

After trying to get a reservation on 44th Street near the theater, I found Bocca Di Bacco during a internet search. It was a great find. A pleasant, efficient and friendly staff. A menu that has just about something for everyone, including vegan family members. The food was outstanding. For someone with a good appetite, like me, the portions could have been a bit larger. To top it all off, the desserts were fabulous. The prices were reasonable and seating and table arrangements were not overcrowded. A real winner as far as I am concerned.

After trying Bocca De Bacco in Chelsea, we decided to try the restaurant by the same name in the Theater District. We were pleasantly rewarded with the same menu, and consistent quality a value as the Chelsea location. The manager, waiters, and hostess could not be more accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the decor was typical, Italian modern, seen in many restaurants in Italy. The wine list had an excellent selection. I guess we enjoyed, because we were there for five hours. Bravo, another winner in the Bocca chain.

I brought a 19 and 14 year old here for a pre-theater dinner. I hadn't checked the menu beforehand and was a bit concerned when we arrived that it might be too sophisticated for the youngest. The pasta with meat sauce was a big hit though. Everyone enjoyed their salads and entrees. Service was well-paced and attentive. Ambience was a bit on the dark and noisy side for this 50+ person, but not unbearably so. Reasonably priced for the level of quality. Bottom line: I would return and recommend to others.

Overall food was average at best but the worst part is we found a thick piece of plastic in our dessert! They waitress took the plate back however when we got the check the dessert was still being charged! You'd expect them to AT A MINIMUM remove the dessert that was inedible... So many great italian restaurants in NYC. Would not pay for that meal again...

This was the second time I ate here and obviously went back because we enjoyed the first time. Unfortunately, someone decided to leave the glass doors at front open and restaurant felt more like an oven then the oven probably did. We asked our server if they would turn on the air but they were committed to leaving those doors open so our entire meal was spent wiping the backs of our necks with our napkins. So, if you go, make sure, if it's summer, that those doors are closed!!
