  • "The food was amazing! Started w pommes frites-cool looking-puffs, but they turned out 2 b nothing more than fancy potato chips (only, slightly softer) & the basket they came in was filled in with a napkin 2 make it seem like there were more- 1st bummer. He had a lobster ravioli dish- ravioli had an amazing filling. When we ordered, I emphasized that he was getting the full serving, not the tasting. It was more of a joke since it was obvious- he's a big man, & that's all he ordered-we all laughed & it turned out he got this smaller plate! Talk about a disappointment! He finished his meal in half the time that I ate mine. awkward moment as the staff took his plate while I was still working on mine. I had the chicken risotto- best chicken ever"

  • "Although for a vegetarian, initial glance at the menu showed little variety, however based on the knowledge and expertise of our server Jennifer, we had quite the amazing experience trying a little bit from each course selection. I am NOT a brussel sprout fan, but the carmalized brussel sprouts are to DIE FOR!!!! very pleased! In addition we were nearly 1.5 hours early for our reservation time, as unexpectedly the show was one act not 2, and they were able to seat us before we could order drinks at the bar."

  • "I've always had a table downstairs before. The upstairs seemed to me less warm, less vibrant, less friendly. My glass of chardonnay was served in a red wine glass! I should have mentioned it but didn't. Everything was so rich - need some simpler dishes. Server was good but often not there - took a long time to get some decaf coffee. The creme brûlée was definitely way too large. Otherwise fine."

  • "I was taking my Mom to a show at The Aranoff and wanted to take her somewhere great! I'd only been to Boca once and I loved it but but going with a non-foodie I was a little worried the food items were too fru-fru for her. Not the case at all! She had the gnocci and I had the short ribs. The only thing more amazing than the dinner was the dessert! Can't wait to go back for more."

  • "We Love BOCA! Had a wonderful meal at BOCA again on Friday night. This is our favorite place for special occasions and we were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary! It's hard to try something new at BOCA because the tasty food that you had last time sticks in your mind. We did try some new stuff - each plate of that we tasted was so delicious with such incredible flavor. Our excellent server Nicole is so great and made us feel so welcome - we can't wait for the next special day!"

  • "This was our second visit to the new BOCA and though the atmosphere is wonderful and the service outstanding, I cannot honestly rave about the food. The two of us had various menu items, but were not WOWED by any of them. Caramelized Brussels sprouts should have resembled the original vegetable, but were shriveled, slimy, tasteless, and mixed with strange ingredients. Since my partner had the filet and didn't mention how good it was, I would assume it didn't knock his socks off - something I guess I expected. Maybe we will try again, but at that price point, probably not soon."

One of only a handful of Cincinnati restaurants that could easily succeed in New York, Chicago etc. Hard to say what my favorite dish is, but if I had to pick one perhaps I'd have to choose the Seafood Risotto...Simply Amazing! Great wine list as well, with an excellent bar & bar area."

  • "We had dined at BOCA when it was in Hyde Park, so this was our first time at the new location downtown. The atmosphere was awesome, service was impeccable and the food was outstanding! We started off with a few appetizers...the tuna and the brussel sprouts. Both were incredible! I had the sea scallops for dinner and they were perfectly cooked. My husband had the sea bass and said it was amazing. We would highly recommend BOCA and will definitely be back!"

  • "Our first visit to Boca was disappointing, we went with another couple that frequents this establishment and they were disappointed as well. The bar was amazing and the staff was energetic, happy and very pleasant. I ordered the beef tenderloin which was not very good at all, it had so much sauce on it all I could taste was the sauce. My husband had the chicken, and well it was just chicken nothing special about it. One of the other members of our party had the cod and it was translucent and not very impressive either. The appetizers and the butternut squash soup were fantastic. We were very disappointed. For what our meal cost The satisfaction level was very low. If you want steak go to Rubys or Capital Grille."

  • "From the moment we walked in the front door until we left we had a wonderful evening at Boca. We were seated upstairs overlooking the magnificient chandelier which added a romantic touch to our evening. Our waitress was not only knowledgeable about the wines and the menu but also told us the story behind the chandelier! The seafood risotto was outstanding! We rarely order dessert but this time we couldn't resist. All four of us tried something different and we couldn't decide which one was the best. The staff never made us feel rushed. In fact we were there for quite a while. All of us agreed to back again soon."

  • "Boca definitely exceeded our expectations! We had been wanting to try Boca so we came in with a friend who was visiting from out of town. The atmosphere was great, and we loved our table. The food was very good! We were however super impressed with the service. Our server, Ben, even recommended that we have a particular dish on its own as a middle course, and we were pleasantly surprised that he would make a suggestion that would actually extend the length of our dinner. We were seated next to some people who seemed extremely high maintenance, but the staff made sure our experience never suffered as a result. Thanks to Ben and to the kitchen for a great dinner."

  • "We were early for our reservation and sat in the bar area. A very energetic "Becca" attended to us and we had a wonderful drink and conversation. High points to Becca - she was the highlight of the evening!!! The second couple to our party arrived and we were taken to our table for four at the top of the stairs. Not the best location, especially since there was a table for four next to a window that would've been better for our group. It took a while for our waiter to attend to us & take drink orders. He was polite, but the entire evening, there were long gaps between service and wine glasses sitting empty. The food was very good and we will definitely be back! Everyone has a bad night.... let's hope he was just having an "off" evening."

In fact, Nicole made the evening. She was knowledgable about the entire menu and recommended the perfect amount of sharing plates. We never wanted for anything, but she wasn't too present, as so many can be."

  • "Boca was great. My boyfriend and I have been waiting for weeks to go here. Very hard to get a reservation...but now I see why. We went with parents so we made our dinner somewhat of a "small-plate" style & sampled a bit of everything. The flavors of the food were fantastic. The burger and Wellington do come out far to the rare side so if you're not a fan of rare meat make sure to emphasize that to your server. We did and they took ours right back to the kitchen & had it right back out within minutes. Also, the staff was great. Our waiter was extremely friendly & 100% honest when we asked him his opinion on certain dishes. The Assistant GM must have stopped by our table 3-4 times to make sure that our dining experience was exceptional."

  • "Always a favorite place to dine. The move from Oakley to downtown gave the restaurant more space and a stunning ambiance. The service remains exceptional and welcoming. I do miss the old way they served the brussel sprout and scallop app and I would love them to bring back the lovely dessert by the spoon. Having said that, the meal is still one of the best in town and the cosmos from the bar are THE best in town."
