A word from Boca Pizzeria
Boca Pizzeria is an Italian inspired Pizzeria utilizing the abundance of Northern California's seasonal ingredients, while showcasing local micro breweries and wine country's boutique varietals. Boca Pizzeria has always been our little neighborhood gem we had in mind for years, where we can dine with our friends, family and loved ones.
Our pizzas are authentic Neapolitan style certified by "Verace Pizza Napolitana" Each pizza, which cooks for no more than 2 minutes in a 900 degree Italian wood burning oven, is made from double milled 00 Caputo flour. Our sauce is made of the finest San Marzano tomatoes imported from Italy. We make house-made mozzarella cheese daily.
We support local farmers in an effort to bring you the freshest ingredients.

Diner Reviews
  • "Food overall was very yummy (chocolate decadence dessert was a little dry, per my husband) but the flies are extremely annoying. It's gotten so that I ask for extra napkins as soon as we sit down, to cover our food and drinks. Maybe some fly sticky strips way up in the ceiling would help?"

  • "This place, which was always crowded, was so empty when we arrived that we should have had a clue something had changed. Terrible service, obviously now run by amateurs--we ordered our drinks and appetizers which came relatively quickly. We then ordered our salads and entrees which arrived before we were half way through our starters. Sent the entrees back because we didn't go there to rush through dinner. When they did serve the entrees they were terrible --reheated but cold. If I wanted reheated pizza I would have done take out! We sent the pizza back--it was inedible. I NEVER send food back but this was so disappointing. None of the food was as good as it used to be. Too bad. We used to go there frequently but will not return."

  • "We met family here (with kids) for a quick bite the other night. The place was packed on a Thursday night. Some of the dish's we ordered were the Organic Roasted Beets with organic baby mixed greens, roasted hazelnuts & sheep's feta with a creamy citrus dressing ($10) This salad was very fresh and flavorful. The Chicken Piccata, chicken breast with lemon caper butter sauce, mashed potatoes & seasonal vegetables ($17) we had asked for no potatoes (no problem), this dish was good and the vegetables fresh. Their pizza is an Authentic Neapolitan Style, made in a wood fired oven. Roasted Mushroom Pizza with Fontina, thyme and Taleggio Cheese ($15) The kids said it was fantastic and would order it again. If you're in Novato, this is quick & easy."

  • "An overall okay place to dine. We dined mid-day and it was quiet. We sat in the bar booth area and service was okay... not especially attentive. I will not be rushing back to dine there."

  • "The food and service was good. However, just as a suggestion......if you have a kids menu (which Boca does), you should also provide the kids with a drawing and crayons to keep them occupied. Instead, I spent my entire meal watching kids run around outside and in the outdoor dining area. Makes the ambience a bit chaotic."

  • "This is a great family place with a good atmosphere that borders on fine dining. The menu offer more than good pizza so the parents can indulge a bit. Prices are low to moderate again making it attractive to families. There is a full bar and good service."

  • "This was the day *before* Valentine's Day, but service was very slow. Didn't see a waitress for many minutes after we sat Dow. Our drink order took forever. But food was really good as usual."

  • "With several ordinary pizza joints, Marin was in dire need of a more gourmet option for pizza. A place where you could get more authentic Neapolitan pies, and Boca fits the bill. Nice thin crusts (though I could even go for a little thinner), fresh toppings, good flavors - I'll be back."

  • "Cons: noise level really got up there, but it was Friday night. Waiter was nice and attentive, but tried to take away our plates before we were done. Think he wanted us to move faster. Pros: Our Open Table reservation was waiting, and they seated us right away, in front of a few groups begging to get an unreserved table. Beet salad and the salad with the lemon/mint dressing are both remarkable. Roasted artichoke: extremely tasty. Fennel Sausage pizza is awesomely good, better than the salami pizza by far. Pumpkin budino dessert was delish. We let the young people at our table order the wine, and they chose by the label name, it wasn't great. All in all, food is very good here, just don't order the "Wild Thing" wine."

  • "Service was great, from the hostess to the waiters. The wait staff were very accommodating. We all had different pizzas & shared a salad. Everything came to the table quickly, the presentation was nice on everything. The food was good. The pizzas were tasty but they were small. An individual pizza (about 6") was approximately $15 each. That price for that size pizza needed something to justify it, like ingredients, flavor etc & it did not. The crust was thin & nice but very average in taste. The chicken salad was tasty but also just not outstanding for the price. Overall, it was a nice experience but I found nothing there that would encourage me to come back or to recommend it to others with so many other nice restaurants to try in Novato.."

  • "We love this place. Eat there often. My only request is the pizza crust. When they first opened the crust was thin and crispy. Now it's thick with a sweet taste. Please go back to the original!!!"

  • "Always hot dishes with fresh vegetables and good service. Chicken Piccata with generous portions is a great choice, served on a hot plate with mash and the freshest vegetables."
