  • "The dinning room, the waiter, and the food were all great! Also Loved the pickles and peppers!"

  • "Everything was wonderful! I had the most flavorful steak I've ever had. If they have it, get the wagyu Kobe steak. It was a feature that is worth the extra price."

  • "Interesting new steakhouse in The Woodlands from the giant glazed carrot served with every meal to the pickles in the middle of the table. The steaks were outstanding and the selection of drinks and wine were great. They even gave my mom a free dessert for her birthday and it was large enough to share with 6 people (brownie sundae). We would definitely go here again for a special occasion. I would compare the prices to Kirby's and Perry's. The only downside is I didn't see a waiting area for people to wait during busy times except at the bar. This would be a problem with people who bring children. Maybe I overlooked one since we had reservations and were seated immediately."

  • "We decided to go to dinner here for my husband's birthday. Overall great experience. I had shrimp scampi and it was great. Owner gave us a tour of the kitchen. Very well done. We will go back. They made a point to give my husband a birthday card and dessert which was a nice touch. So nice to have a new steakhouse on the area."

  • "Every side dish I had (smoked salmon, beefsteak tomatoes, fried potatoes with sauce, and glazed carrots was exceptional. (5 star). However my 9 oz filet was burnt to a crisp on the outside and medium on the inside as I requested. I could not eat half of it, because of the dryness and tough exterior. I know I should have said something to the waiter, but I am just not a complainer by nature. My two glasses of wine by the glass was pricey at $38 but were outstanding. My wife's crab cakes were the best she had ever had. There were 6 in our party and everyone else enjoyed their meal."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our thirteenth anniversary here and it was A great choice! The food and staff are awesome!"

  • "The food is very expensive. The famous Bob's carrot is completely uninspired and is served as a huge solid carrot on the plate looking more like an phallic symbol. It's over sweet taste compliments its hideous presentation. The filets were tasty, as they should be for the price, but I'd go to a different steak joint than Bob's."

  • "Valet Service is nice. The decor is well done. American Flags, Mirrors, Golf Photos, with dark wood paneling giving it a country club style. We both had the filet. Being Prime steak it was excellent, medium rare; it melts in your mouth. The steaks are not À la Carte, which is a nice change in town. Comes with a large carrot and choice of potato, baked potato was excellent. For the portions and quality it's actually a pretty good deal. The wine list is beyond extensive. Have brought several friends & family whom are always impressed by the overall experience. The ventilated cigar lounge is a nice touch for smokers. The seafood specials have always been excellent. New favorite steakhouse in The Woodlands. Very unique!"

  • "The food was very good, the service was great, but the menu options are limited. If you like steak and a good bottle of wine, you will enjoy Bob's. The wine list is where they shine. The bar was reasonably well stocked, with some glaring omissions."

  • "We chose this new spot as one of our last date night options before our baby is due and it exceeded my expectations. Since I'm pregnant and can't order a steak the way I like it cooked, we both ordered the seafood. I ordered the crab cakes and my husband ordered the shrimp scampi. The crab cakes were small, but full of flavor and probably the best I've had anywhere. We also ordered lobster Mac n cheese which I highly recommend. So yummy!! The giant carrot that is a Bob's signature side dish staple was bizarre, but so tasty! We then ordered creme brûlée for dessert and it was excellent and cooked to perfection. Overall we were very pleased with our meal and we will be back!!! Excellent choice for a date night or group date dining spot!"

  • "I love a great steakhouse and have bee fortunate enough to been in many outstanding establishments across the country. Bob's of The Woodlands was very impressive. A New York level steakhouse, finally, in our backyard. We'll be back soon!"

  • "We highly recommend Bobs! Steaks were great. Water and tea glass was always full. Not a stuffy atmosphere and a very friendly staff. We will be back!"

  • "We decided to try something new so chose Bob's & loved it immediately. Everyone was friendly, attentive & made sure we had an enjoyable evening. The wine list (& price!) was impressive & the menu had spectacular choices. There's a jar of house made pickles on each table to serve yourself & they bring warm bread as well! My husband had the beefsteak tomato salad & our waiter asked if he wanted to add bacon-one, thick strip of THE most delicious bacon we've ever eaten! We had steaks & were impressed that unlike most steak houses they included choice of potato + one giant, glazed carrot. It was superb, the service wonderful & we even splurged for dessert-me the enormous slab of chocolate cake & he 2 scoops of ice cream. A delightful evening!"

  • "I came here for a business dinner and usually I dred those. Everything is awesome here. From Their fresh seafood appitizers to their Texas size portions of meat it made dinner a great event. Service was excellent and so was the food thank you again."

  • "This location of Bob's Steak and Chop House just opened in The Woodlands. The restaurant itself is beautiful, nice decoration with wooden walls and American flags everywhere. Excellent service, we were celebrating a wedding anniversary and we had in our table a congratulations card from the staff. I was a little disappointed about the quality of the food given the prices. I ordered a medium cooked filet Mignon but I was served with a piece of meat that wasn't evenly cooked, the center was from rare to medium rare while other parts were medium and the outside was a little charred being even a little crunchy. Given the reputation, reviews, and menu prices I was expecting something better as far as the food is concerned."

  • "First visit....very impressed. Service was great....valet, hostess, wait staff...all very attentive, prompt & courteous. Food excellent. Filet cooked to perfection as were lamb chops. Crab cakes really are crab! All food nicely presented. Loved the carrot! Nice place, bit pricey but all things considered, worth it. Look forward to next visit with friends."

  • "We enjoyed our trip to Bob's. The food was very good. Some of the dishes were a bit salty. The bread was delicious as were the pickles that sit in the middle of every table. Very unique, fun and tasty. One of us had the sea bass special - it was outstanding. The steak was delicious. The crab cakes were good but not particularly notable. We would go back again. Note that the sides are enough to serve more than one person and the portion of potatoes that comes with an entree is sizable. It would be difficult to eat all of the potatoes, the main dish, the delicious cooked carrot (that comes with each entree) and an additional side - especially if you want to save room for dessert."

  • "Went to celebrate girlfriends birthday, took a recommendation on wine and I hated it, she tried to drink it couldn't make it through half a glass. The Somalier noticed that neither of us were drinking and took it back no charge and got us cocktails of our choice. You don't need side dishes so don't bother ordering them! The off the menu items are great but you may be surprised when you get the bill."

  • "Tried the new Bob's and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we stepped in the door everything was wonderful. Staff acknowledged our special event ( anniversary) and food and service were just top notch. Can't wait till next year. Thx again"

  • "Way to big! Plate not attractive. Should have some small meat plates on menu."

  • "Our waitress (Allison) was a total gem, knowing in detail about the menu, it's ingredients where the ingredients were sourced from. Food was excellent, my wife had the sea bass special, which was a big fillet and cooked to perfection. I had the smaller NYS, which was also cooked perfect to my liking. I look forward to our return visit!"

  • "The steaks were delicious and perfectly prepared. One of our party ordered the rack of lamb and said it was the best he had ever had. The service was impeccable. We can't wait to go back."

  • "Everything was fine. But i was surprised at being told that we would have to wait about 20 minutes for our table. This after having a reservation for 8 pm !!! Plus they asked us to wait in the bar and there was no room in the bar. But we didnt have to wait more than 5 oor 6 minutes :). Everything was great after that ! We enjoyed the food and the service was great !"

  • "Filet & ribeye, good quality but no seasoning & uninspiring. Giant carrot tough, couldn't eat it. Fried potatoes & sweet sauce not edible. Best thing-non wilted spinach salad but can quickly make at home. Waiter was bad, irritated & rolled eyes. Date night so wanted wine, ordered $70 bottle, he kept pushing $180 bottle after we already ordered, he pushed most expensive all evening. Carrot cake & key lime, ok. Don't normally review & was reluctant to this time. We aren't picky people & usually find positives with most places so with that said; location was great (10 minutes from our home), nice new decor. We didn't mind the prices, we pay that on a regular basis, paying that for poor service, & mediocre food is not on our menu."

  • "It was our first time to Bob's and we had a very lovely evening. Our waiter Nick and sommelier were both extremely nice and helpful, as were the hostesses and bartenders. The food was delicious and outstanding with large portions you could share. Make sure you try the truffle oil mac & cheese. The Wagu 28 ounce tomahawk chop was very impressive and delicious. This is a great place to take guests or for any special occasions."

  • "Went to Bob's expecting the best and they delivered. It is definitely a great addition to The Woodlands area. Less flash and more class. Can't wait to return for another great special occasion."

  • "We went for my husband's birthday. They gave him a card and a complimentary dessert! The pickles were good...bread was good...wine was excellent (Dry Creek Cab 2010)...filet was excellent (med rare)...carrot was great (totally unexpected)...skillet potatoes were great...key lime pie was great! Love the flag decor. The server was very knowledgeable about wine and was very polite. The prices are reasonable, considering how great the food was."

  • "I might sound like I'm complaining here but if you go to a high-end steakhouse you expect the best. You are certainly paying for it. They brought me a big round loaf of bread and I ordered a house salad and a 16oz ribeye, medium rare. As I waited for my salad I ate a piece of bread. Their bread is VERY bland and very low quality. It's comparable to grocery store baked bread. Not Whole Foods, more like Kroger. A "fine dining" establishment should have quality at every turn. The bread severely lacked. Salad took 20 minutes and was dripping in dressing. Then they brought me a filet. Hmm, remember I ordered a ribeye? They apologized, cooked me a new steak and it was very tasty. But hey, get it right the first time. They took salad off my bill."

  • "Have been to the Bob's in Dallas (all of them) and this location was top notch. I've experienced mediocre flood before at one location and was a little nervous about this one being new. It was excellent."

  • "We have frequented every steak house in the area and although they are all very good we have to place Bob's at the top of the flavor chain for steaks......can't wait to go back.......Thank's to all at Bob's Steak and Chop House"

  • "Generally a good experience but we were seated at the bar while awaiting our party to arrive and having a bottle of wine, the barely 21 if that individuals seated next to us at the bar were using extremely unacceptable language and normally I could accept this as just being dunk people but it was clearly with the tacit approval of the bar staff. We didn't car much for the complimentary pickles and bell peppers as they were so salted down as to remind me of sea water. The steak was generally good though a bit rough on the top from a texture standpoint. In general, I feel for the same price dinner can be had at other steak locations with more professional staff and better ambiance. Eat here when you don't want to drive to the Galleria."
