Bob's Steak & Chop House - PlanoGreat birthday diner for my husbandGreat service started right from the door! We had reservations at 8:45p on a Friday, when we walked in my husband was greated with hostess saying "Happy Birthday" I know it's because I wrote it in the special requests, but nice to know they read those! We were taken to a table immediately but saw that it was right next to a large loud table of 20, we asked for something more intimate - they were happy to seat us in another section of the restaurant.
Our waitress was amazing! Food was outstanding! We had fried calimari, lobster bisque, ceaser salad, filets with spinach / mushrooms and skillet potatoes as sides. Everything was amazing except for the sides. For a little surprise- a trio of sweets with a candle. Very thoughtful

The cut of beef rivals that of Ruth Chris but more affordable However, the ambience seems marketed to older conservative white men - who play golf. As evidenced by all of the golf pictures on the wall. The lobster bisque was very tasty - rich and creamy, my filet was cooked perfectly - tender and flavorful, the large caramelized carrot was different but very tasty! We all ordered ribeyes and we all agreed it was the best we had ever had! It melted like butter in your mouth!
