  • "My wife and I were given a gift card to go to Bob's. I knew it was expensive and probably out of our budget but with a gift card I decided to make a nice date night out of it. First of all, the service was excellent! Our waiter was outstanding. The food overall was not the best we've ever had but I must say the steak was a top 3 steak ever! The glazed carrot was good but too large to stomach and the potatoes were good but not the best we've had. The Creme Brulee was some of the best we've had. I thought the wine was grossly overpriced. $10 bottles of wines were priced well over $100. I think there was a 1000% mark up on all of the wines. That was unfortunate! We probably won't be able to go back because of price but overall good!"

  • "This was our first time to Bob's and we enjoyed it very much - good food, good service, and good atmosphere. The only thing that detracted from the experience was the added fee to change a vegetable on one of the entrees. One of the meals came with mash potatoes and trying to hold down the carbs we asked for any other vegetable that might fit the bill. This was gladly accommodated but it did seem out of character to spend almost $200 for dinner for two and then be charged an extra $5 to swap a vegetable."

  • "Bob's Plano lives up to it's reputation as being one of the best steakhouses in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. From the beginning to the end was an excellent dining experience. The shrimp appetizer was delicious, I enjoyed the bacon wrapped variety the most. The filet mignon was cooked perfect, and one of the best I've ever had. My wife had the sea bass and shrimp they were featuring that night, and it was also outstanding. We shared a mac & cheese which is a must on your visit. Our service throughout the whole night was excellent. From the greeting and warm reception from the front desk, to our server Bradley who was amazing. It truly was an excellent anniversary for us, we look forward to continue dining here in the future."

  • "This place is well known, but I was very disappointed. First it's really dark, felt like I was in a cave. Second, the decor confused me. High end steakhouses aren't typically filled with sports memorabilia like your local sports grille. Finally, the main part...my steak. I had a ny strip and well it was plain. I ordered it medium, and it was mildly juicy with zero flavor. Not even peppered by the chef. Sorry, if I'm paying $40 for a steak I expect some sort of crafting to occur. Anyone can buy a good hunk of meat and throw it on a grille. Won't be coming back."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our server who was attentive and friendly, however, the food was just average. My steak had little to no seasoning, and when I ordered it med-rare, it was barely rare once it arrived at the table. I sent it back to the kitchen, waited, waited, waited until my wife was finished with her entree (lamb chops) before getting my steak back at the correct temp. I tried her lamb chops (ordered med-rare, arrived med-well) which were also poorly seasoned. I have dined at Bob's many times over the last 10yrs, at different locations, and always had consistently good food. This was by far the worst."

  • "Originally sat us in the back room which is not as nice as the main dining room, looks like an older golf club dining room. I asked for a booth in the main room, was told they were reserved and was taken to a different side room. I once again asked for the main room booth, of which there were 7-8 open. The hostess then was able to accomidate us. Why didn't they do that the first time I asked? Service was attentive and pleasant. The food came out on what was supposed to be "hot" plate which were warm at best and the food on them was equally warm, not hot. Restaurant feels old and not modern. Wine list was good but extremely over priced. Better options for steak."

  • "All was excellent but too noisy for a quite celebration of our 39th wedding anniversary. Will return but not when we want to talk in a quite manner. Del Friscos has a much better atmosphere away from the bar noise."

  • "took us down a hall to a room with tvs, not what I wanted for a special occasion. was stopped from moving by the prompt and very courtious waiter. He was very good. Bread was great. Pickles, not so much. Tasteless and bland. Shrimp cocktail was over cooked and rubbery. not enough sauce and had to order more. dab of horseradish looked very brown and oxidized. not bright white. Wedge was a high point. What can you do to lettuce? Steak was tough and over cooked. I guessed it was the tail of the tenderloin. Spongy, could not eat it. Potatoes were kind of a lump that were to have been fried with gravy. trademark carrot was not as good as Luby's. bread pudding was very good. Should have comped the entire meal. took off the steak."

  • "I can't recommend Bob's enough. My wife and I have been going every year for our anniversary and we've never been disappointed. The steaks are beyond delicious. Their wine list is not a front and back menu, it's pages upon pages of different wines. This is not your typical "Outback" or "Texas Roadhouse" steakhouse! The wait staff is extremely attentive. They'll even come by and brush off any bread crumbs that are on your table. Steaks are not cheap, but neither is the taste. A dinner for 2 cost us $130, so that's why it's only a once a year occasion. But it's something we look forward to every year."

  • "The food never disappoints. We enjoyed the fried calamari to start. The sauce was more horseradish than marinara but good. It's a mix of circles and tentacles. We also tried the bacon wrapped quail that was on the special menu but were not very impressed with that. The consensus was that it had too much BBQ sauce on it and I personally did not enjoy the app, but the guys ate it. Also, it came with just 3 pieces which I found to be an odd allotment. The steaks all got rave reviews per usual! My carrot lacked flavor this night but I never eat it all anyways. The Smashed Potatoes were excellent and I doctored them up with the baked potato fixings - yep, I went there! And it was glorious! I think I saw waiter Eddie drool."

  • "This place is known for their steaks. In that regard I'm not sure you can do better. Sides and calamari were nothing to write home about. Our server and the rest of the waitstaff did an excellent job were friendly and quick to please. Back to the steaks, I had the bone in ribeye and the wife had the small filet. Both were cooked precisely to order and were excellent. We will be back."

Having moved to TX last year and after all the talk of Bob's over year's I was finally able to get my wife there. She really enjoyed the meal as well and the restaurant in general. They had a card congratulating us on our anniversary waiting at our table as well as our server and the manager coming and thanking us for celebrating at their restaurant. At the end of our dinner they brought us a amazing dessert sample plate for free! Will definitely go back and I highly recommend coming and eating here if your in town."
