  • "Upon deciding where to take my cousin for her birthday dinner we decided on Bob's, and I am glad we did. The food was divine, and even when her steak was a bit undercooked they staff handled it with grace. They fixed the steak and re-plated her dinner, which is more than we asked for! They let her select a desert of her choice that was on the house! The wine and liquor list is extensive, and Chris at the bar is extremely educated in helping you choose your drink of the night! Andre was our server and he was excellent. We had all three managers touch our table and take an interest in our night! It was a spectacular evening, and this staff works very well together to make your night a success!"

  • "This was our fourth or fifth visit to Bob's (Grapevine) .We had a reservation and were seated immediately in a comfortable booth. My ribeye was excellent, as were the smashed potatoes. My wife had the sea bass which she enjoyed. Our server (Renee) was attentive without being oppressive. As others have commented, Bob's is loud, so if your going for a cozy, romanic getaway, this may not be the place for you - but the food is great!"

  • "It would have been all that much more enjoyable...except for the noise. The noise was so loud, it was difficult to maintain a conversation with just the two of us. I'd encourage an exploration of options to reduce the ambient noise. Great food, great service, just the negative of extreme room noise."

  • "We have been going to Bob's for years and the service at this visit was VERY poor. Felling rushed the entire meal. Taking a beer before it was finished...much less asking. Took other plates without asking and had to say several times....we are not finished with that. One potato got dressed and waiter became distracted then the other potato wasn't dressed. Had to flag down manager....only employee accessible to get potato dressed. Trying to pay was a chore as well May have to find another steak place since this one seems to be slipping. 2 bad visits out of the last 4. Food is excelled as always. Also, giving the ticket to the male in the party....I thought we were way passed that.. I paid the check and it should have been retd to me."

  • "The 1st time I ate at Bob's it was awesome. 2nd time mediocre. 3rd time horrible. It's now on my no fly zone list. Prime rib was worst I have ever had. Not even close. $30 add for oscar sauce is a joke. Not worth the money. Apps and bread were really good. Just leave before the entrée and you'll be fine."

  • "We went to Bob's for a special evening with friends who were in town for the NASCAR race. The noise level when we were first seated was a bit louder than expected, but it didn't interfere. The food was absolutely outstanding. The service was very good and overall it was a perfect evening. Highly recommended for a great dining experience."

  • "This place just doesn't stand up to Del Frisco's. Our steaks were burnt on the outside. The calamari was over breaded and it was served with cocktail sauce. When we asked our waitress for something else to go with it she said she'd bring us remoulade but she didn't come back with it for 15 mintues and by then our calamari was cold. The best part of our meal was the spinach salad and the potatoes."

  • "My wife and I went to Bob's to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was our 1st visit and we found the dining room to be very noisy. The waitress advised us of the "specials" for the day, one of which was Prime Rib with horse radish sauce. Subsequently, I ordered the Prime Rib and my wife ordered a filet mignon. We both ordered salads which were quite good. When the entree's were served, my Prime Rib did not look as I expected; it looked like a Rib Eye steak. I intended to ask the waitress if she had misunderstood my order but she was not to be found. Rather than delay our meal further, I ate the steak (which was quite good by the way, but not what I wanted that night). I also feel the prices are too high for the quality served."

  • "The wine and appetizers that we had were very nice and tasty. My wife's steak was very good. I had the fish special and it was not very good. the fish was not well cooked and still tasted "fishy"! The staff could not have been nicer or more attentive without being overbearing. I will go back but will not eat the fish ever."

Overall - I would clean house if I was the Mgr. I have had better steaks at Ruby Tuesday's. And much better service. Bye Bye, Bob's - You only get 1 opportunity to steal $400 from me in Dallas, TX - when it comes to a steak. SM"

  • "My husband and I came for a second time for a trip. Arrived early and enjoyed a drink at the bar. Very nice bartenders. We were called to our table on time. Large crowd so the back was nice since the noise level was lower. Ordered shrimp appetizer and steaks which were very good. Only complaint was our server. He seemed to be rushing us through. I was trying to decide about the lobster tail and as I was studying the menu, my husband saw him roll his eyes. He also wanted all of our orders; appetizer and entree; right away. My husband said his personality is a driver. We don't go places like this very often and we want to enjoy the experience not just eat quickly and leave. Taylor, if you are reading this, that is why your tip was low."

  • "We often have Laura as our server. She greater us at the table with my wife's wine in her hand - can't beat that! As usual Laura made great recommendations and the staff got things to us at an appropriate rate. When we left the valet had our cat at the door. I know we're regulars so maybe we're treated a bit specially; however, our experience tells everyone that Bob's knows what it's doing."

Everything just the right speed for our celebration celebrating our daughter deciding what college to go to. I had the prime rib, and it was excellent. Loud, as usual, but it is one of the places to go in Grapevine."

  • "Usually go to this twice a year. As usual, steaks were very good. Salmon was also well done, and large portion size. Service staff tend are OK. Probably only complaint, is the Grapevine location tends to be very crowded and noisey, unless you get one of the back rooms. Have been to Del Frisco in past, and while steaks are more flavorful at Bob's, the service staff are leave something to be desired. Overall, still a solid choice for a very good steak."

  • "I brought a colleague from the East Coast to Bob's because of their reputation. Our service was excellent and the wine suggestion by the waiter was very good, but the medium Filet I ordered left A LOT to be desired. I got a charred looking steak that was too rare on the inside. I didn't send it back because the outside was already crunchy and charred, more fire would have made it inedible. I can deal with undercooked steaks, but the tenderness was simply not there. If it supposedly is "Prime" , it must be the lowest level that qualifies as such, because I have bought more tender "choice" steaks from local grocers. This location, appears to be resting on the other locations' laurels, or the meat quality of the entire chain has been lowered."

He acted like we were bothering him if we asked for something that we needed. Really wasn't happy with his service at all."

  • "We were looking for an excellent meal and we got exactly what we wanted - Excellence. I have been to Bob's several times and have always been very pleased, but it was a first time for my guests and there were impressed by the restaurant, the staff and definitely by the wonderful dinner that we enjoyed. This is one of the few restaurants that you can count on to be excellent every time you go and is somewhere that you can be sure everyone in your party will be pleased with their experience."

  • "My wife and I were celebrating a special occasion with another couple. We wanted a very nice meal and picked Bob's based upon past experiences. I know it sounds strange but the food service was too fast! We ordered appetizers and they were delivered within 2-3 minutes. Upon delivery, we were asked for our entrée order...we weren't ready to order but our waiter came back to the table within 5 minutes. We ordered and our food arrived within 10 minutes. We were in and out in 45 minutes (were they overbooked and needing another table?) We sure felt that way. Caprese salad, Caesar salad and Bone-in ribeye were all very good. Will probably select another fine steakhouse for our next celebration; this experience was certainly not worth the money."

  • "The wife and I went to Bob's for a special night out. We found the noise level to be well above what you should experience in a nicer restaurant. It was hard to hear each other talk. The bar allows smoking, including cigars. Our close proximity meant we could catch a whiff of smoke every now and then. The bar had tv's in plain view of the dining area; something I would expect to see at a sports bar, not at a place I have to make reservations. The service was excellent; the waiter knew the menu and was very helpful. The steak was, of course, excellent. The crab was over-cooked and mushy."
