(though the music was a bit too loud) But for such a nice place I think the service could have been a little better. Little things like maybe the waiter coming by a little more often to be sure all was well. And one little thing about the food that was wrong was my wife's side dish of potatoes was just warm and not hot like mine. Overall it was a great place to go and we would come back again."

  • "Not impressed... average steaks and pricey menu. My ribeye had to be returned because it was overdone, and then it was gristly... not very tender. The filet was just an average steak... not great quality either. The smashed potato side didn't taste very fresh or well seasoned... a blah side dish. We don't plan to return or recommend this restaurant."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here, and quite enjoyed it. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgable about which wines paired well with certain entrees. My wife ordered her filet medium rare, but when she cut into it, it was more on the rare to raw side in the middle. The staff was apologetic and fixed her a new steak right away. Overall I thought it was a nice place and would probably return if I was in the area for a special occasion."

  • "The team at Bob's always does an amazing job! However, this time they out did themselves. We were celebrating a special occasion with my mother in law and they took it to the next level. The created a special dessert tray just for her without our asking, they brought she and I a sampling of each soup since they noticed that we were having a hard time choosing, and they made a special night absolutely perfect!"

  • "My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary at Bobs. They were aware of this, but I was surprised that the service was extremely lacking. I initially thought it was because we did not order wine, etc, but watching around the room (there was plenty of time of watch, as we waited) we were not alone. I think the waiters were fine, but they were terribly understaffed. Our waiter had six tables at one time, and one table had 10 people. So, I don't blame him as much as whatever system they had. Now to the food. Everything was good, but nothing except the mushrooms stood out as exceptional. The steak was perfectly cooked, but lacked that prime flavor. Perhaps it was a bad night. I had high expectations, but was underwhelmed."

  • "...to anything on the menu. Our group of six selected a variety of main plates -from the fish special to the t-bone to the recommended filet- and everyone declared themselves a winner. Our group of serious steak-eaters -never ones for vegetables- even raved about the massive carrot that came with their main dish Though the plates were empty and stomachs were full, dessert was determined necessary. Even when only a few bites could be managed by each, everyone had a hard time putting the spoons down. Will definitely be back!"

My son has never had a steak "melt in his mouth." My daughter and her husband decided they could come back for their anniversary. My supervisor will be bringing me, my husband and his wife soon to celebrate a milestone achievement in the office. You provided amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you."

  • "We had a table of 5 and the restaurant was not very busy for a Monday night. Our reservations were perfect and the table was ready. But after we were seated it took 15-20 min to get the next visit to our table. IN fact, we had to ask the other wait staff to remind our server we were there. The rest of the meal went OK, food was great, but when we got to dessert it was the same thing. All of our plates had been taken and we waited again for another 15-20 and again had to ask for our server. The dessert was promptly served and the check was even faster (imagine that !!!) It seemed like our waiter was pre-occupied because of they were short staffed. I'm sure we'll try it again, just not anytime soon."

I would definitely recommend calling ahead and request a booth. The tables are extremely close to each other. Take time and walk around the hotel too...very nice."

  • "My husband and I made reservations at the downtown Fort Worth restaurant. We valet parked and our ticket was punched at the restaurant so we just had to tip the driver. The restaurant is inside the Omni Hotel. We were seated immediately and our waiter was fantastic. He asked if we were celebrating anything. We said a late Valentines and it is also our anniversary. He said he would get us dessert to celebrate the occasion. We ordered drinks that were excellent. Our meal came soon and it was cooked to perfection. After we ate and enjoyed our meal our waiter brought us a Crème Brule for dessert. Life just can't get better. We had a fantastic experience. Thanks Bob's Chop House!"

  • "Best Restaurant in Fort Worth. I have never been disappointed while dining at Bob's. Food is better than Del Frisco's and the service is 100 percent professional. Also, the wine list carries a bottle of Cabernet that I had at the SW steakhouse in Las Vegas that I didn't think I was going to find anywhere else. I will be returning again and again! (Ask for Brandon, best server in the house.)"

  • "My wife and I decided to book an early Valentine's Day reservation at Bob's and it was a great experience all the way around. We were not staying at the Omni Hotel as guests but the valet service was great and the beautiful lobby of the Omni set the tone for an excellent dining experience. Our server Todd was great and the food was delicious. I would recommend Bob's for anyone wanting to splurge on some great steaks for a special occasion. Overall we had an excellent time and would definitely love to do it again sometime!"

  • "1st time eating at Bobs Chop house for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious New York strip and Orange Roughy were amazing both cooked to perfection. The best was the lobster macaroni suggested by our waiter. He was attentive to our needs coming around when needed but leaving us alone to enjoy the evening. Yes I would recommend Bobs Chop house, an plan on going back for another great time."

We noted the Business Casual dress code on the website so we felt overdressed when we arrived to find most of the guests wearing jeans and cowboy boots (but it is Stock Show Rodeo weekend which we should have remembered). The service and food were fantastic and we highly recommend the restaurant for this reason. The ambiance, on the other hand, was not what we envisioned it would be. We felt like we were seated too close to the tables around us and we had trouble hearing one another. It was awkward because we could hear the tables conversations on either side of us more clearly than we could hear ourselves. For future visits, dress down and request a booth."

I thought that special touch and time to do that meant alot to me and my son. The dinner was delicious and they were willing to work with us with not having a kids menu for my 8 year old for suggestions. We love this place and love to go there when we are celebrating."

  • "I've always considered Bob's the place to go when you're committed to having the best steak. The rib eye's they serve are flavorful and wonderfully perfect every time. The sides show attention to detail that is rare when you discuss portion sizes that large. The bar does an excellent job on offering a diverse set of cocktails that delighted my wife. Meanwhile, as a bourbon drinker, they cover all the bases with a serious selection of spirits. The staff is always helpful and informed, the food is top notch and we encourage you to try it."

  • "The service and atmosphere was very nice complete with free valet parking and a view of the downtown Fort Worth scene. The highly recommended steak however left a little to be desired. My wife and I usually visit a nice restaurant once per year for our anniversary and this year we chose Bob's. In the past we have not ordered the same cut of steak so we can sample each other's and form different opinions of each cut. This year we both ordered the ribeye, hers the 12 oz version and mine the 16oz version. Hers was very tender and cooked to perfection and mine was very grissly and tough in areas. Which is the case sometimes I understand. I did not complain either because the other accompanying items were great. They even gave us a comp desert."
