Bobo RestaurantGreat restaurant. ImprovingGreat restaurant. Improving all the time. Works for many ages and occasions. The bar downstairs is fun and action packed allowing the dining room upstairs to stay calm and romantic. Great combination. Really good food4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAn amazing restaurant. MustAn amazing restaurant. Must go if you get the chance.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMRomance in the MansionGreat restaurant for a romantic, special occasion dinner. The bars downstairs and upstairs were lively. The dark main dining room, with old fashioned photos on the wall, fireplace and eclectic chandeliers, was akin to a den in old great mansion. Hostess Jennifer dimmed the lights at our corner, and our server, Galeel was a gem, and made it a truly exceptional night. By the way, I never write reviews, but my excelent night at Bobo compelled me.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMy partner and I are out ofMy partner and I are out of towners and discovered Bobo's last August while we were in town for the International Gift Show. We were back again this week and Bobo's was at the top of our list of places to have dinner. In fact we ate there the first night we got in town. We were again very pleased. Our part of the country has nothing that can compare.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it...one of BEST everLoved it...one of BEST ever waiters. Undortunately, 2 big parties next to us (rooftop). Food for brunch, good, pretty standard. Tho Cheesecake-stuffednfrench toast looked awesome...4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAmbiance was absolutely great.Ambiance was absolutely great. Cute brownstone in the WV converted into a great dining experience. The food itself met expectations but was not mind-blowing. Regardless I would definitely recommend it highly.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBobo is popular and I canBobo is popular and I can see why... We had a reservation but weren't seated for 30 mins due to another party at our table. However, we received a few compliments for the inconvenience and the wait staff were lovely to us so I'll def be back!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was good, but notThe food was good, but not outstanding. The ambiance is truly where this restaurant excels!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe escargot pastry appetizerThe escargot pastry appetizer was fantastic. Duck two ways was great. Scallops were ok (the risotto wasn't bad, but not amazing). In the fall/winter, try the "Pineapple is not a winter fruit" cocktail. I don't know if it's good or not, but I really wanted to try it. :/ Just an appetizer and entree filled us up like crazy.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been to BoBo twiceI have been to BoBo twice now and it was a wonderful experience both times. The food was excellent I was extremely impressed that the hostess and owner actually remembered me and sat my party at the same table with the same waiter which we had enjoyed the first time. That is a rare treat in a NY restauarnt.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch on Easter SundayIt was our first time at Bobo where we had brunch on Easter Sunday. We loved the funky decor and they had a lovely garden for dining even though we chose to eat inside. The special Easter brunch menu had two traditional offerings of ham and lamb and we all enjoyed our entrees and the dessert was fabulous! While the restaurant was packed the waiter was very attentive and made sure our beverages were refilled and plates were cleared timely but not rushed. It did become a bit on the noisy side for us (we're middle aged) towards the end of our time as two large parties of young people were seated but you couldn't help share their excited joy of all being out together with their friends to celebrate the day. Many thanks for a lovely time!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMBravo, BoboThis was our first visit and we will definitely return. Impeccable service with a waitstaff that really knows the menu, cocktails and wine. Management pays a lot of attention to detail. Bravo, Bobo.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLove BOBO! BOld & BOdacious = BOBOA speakeasy entry vibe segued to Parisian-in-NY chic and upstairs the sepia-toned family pics and book-laden shelves offered cosiness without being too-familiar. Happy staff, chilled champagne and Sinatra's crooning put our group in relaxion mode. Chef Tovar's spicy Bruschetta and cilantro oysters hinted at an adventurousness to come. His (pork) cheeks made our tummies smile as did his lamb with couscous and the Steak au Poivre. True naughtiness came via the "Mars" bar dessert and the lemon-pie-in-a-glass topped with broken meringue - inspired and none-too-sweet. Our French guests loved the Nutella concoction and took photos to make their kids jealous! Best of all, the check belied the genuine high quality of food and service. More, please!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was the second time IThis was the second time I had dinner at Bobo. I enjoyed the ambiance, the food and the excellent service. The bar is very nice. I can strongly recommend going there and try it out yourself.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my third visit toThis was my third visit to Bobo. It didn't disappoint! The food was very tasty, the service was attentive and friendly, and the surroundings were fantastic in the back upper veranda. A real find!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAn absolutely magical restaurant. An absolutely magical restaurant. Romantic, sexy, food was incredible, wine was perfect. Easily one of the BEST French restaurants in Manhattan. It did get a little loud later in the evening as the room filled up. I only wish people could talk less loud at a table and do their shouting in the bar.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
