Bobby’s Deerfield is based loosely on our other location Café Lucci which we have developed over the last 17 years. Similar to Café Lucci, Bobby’s Deerfield will serve as a true neighborhood locale, marked by our signature personal service and unmatched friendly atmosphere. However, Bobby’s Deerfield will be a more casual eatery, completely accessible in every way. Reminiscent of the iconic, nostalgic neighborhood restaurant of yesteryear, Bobby’s Deerfield will bring graciousness back to dining out, in a simple way, by turning out the best product and best service.

  • "This was not our first time to Bobby's, but it will be our last. We were honestly blown away by the poor service for on final visit. Upon arrival, no one was at the front to greet us (we had a reservation) and didn't see anyone for five minutes. After finally being seated, our waiter took our drink order and that was the last we saw of him. The hostess had to take our dinner order even though our waiter was still in the restaurant waiting on others. I have never in my life experienced service of this quality anywhere and hope never to again."

  • "We ate here last Saturday night and liked the food, but it was so LOUD in this restaurant that we had to yell across the table. Tables are very close together. If they added some fabric panels on the ceiling or something it might warm the place up, make it more inviting and a tiny bit quieter. The decor is nice, but it reminded us of a cafeteria in the lack of intimate environment, draftiness and volume. We'd probably come again but for lunch instead!"

The chef is wonderful and really builds layers of flavors into the dishes. This time around we tried the shrimp penne pasta and chicken vesuvio for lunch. Both were wonderful. Highly recommend Bobbies for lunch and dinner."

  • "The salads at Bobby's of Deerfield were wonderful, everyone liked them. The mozzarella bubble with cheese curd was good but huge,, one person couldn't possibly eat it all and maybe not even two could polish it off. They must've burned something on the grill then tried to grill the toast points on top of it. It tasted burned but the waitress insisted that it was supposed to taste burned, that was a part of their grilling. I've never eaten grilled food that was supposed to taste burned.The entres were gooey, The Chicken Fennel was so overdone you couldn't taste the fennel. Even so, I'd come back for the salads."

The restaunat has a hard floor, hard ceiling, hard walls and virtually no sound deadening. Turning up the music (as they did) did NOT help. The food and service were excellent though."

  • "I took a friend for lunch for her birthday and it was nice because it was a little upscale from the regular suburban restaurants. However, the waiter was difficult to understand. My friend ordered a salad with chicken on top. It came without the chicken and then when he brought it, it was a small sliced chicken breast, not quite grilled enough and thrown on a plate. It was very unappetizing. I also find Bobby a bit of a snob. If he knows you, he comes to your table to talk. But if he doesn't know you, he just nods and kept on walking. This has happened both times that I was there without my friends who know him."

  • "Our service was terrific; the food good but nothing out of the ordinary. Our first time dining at Bobby's and they were out of green beans, the vegetable of the day, by 7pm on a Saturday. This would not have made a difference except 2 of us had fish - white fish on white plates with white cauliflower, 1 person had chicken, same white presentation. No tomato, parsley, just a boring plate of white food. Do they not know of any other vegetables besides cauliflower and green beans? We had a great time with friends, but Bobby's won't become our new favorite place."

  • "The food is good, not great. The menu options are enticing. I was disappointed that after calling the host ahead of time and asking about kids options, they would not accommodate a kids cheeseburger, and made me pay for the full adult burger. Not a great tactic, considering this is a neighborhood restaurant that builds it's business on referrals. I was there with my parents for an anniversary dinner and we spent about $200 on three adults and 1 child. It was a bit embarrassing to have to make a plea to the "Manager" (may have been the owner) with no resolution. Disappointing."

  • "Bobby's is a special place because of the table service, food presentation and food quality. The menu is extensive and they always have a great list of fish specials as well. Our server was prompt, friendly and efficient. The bus staff also did an excellent job which sometimes goes unnoticed. I love the fish that Bobby's offers...... I had an outstanding sea bass and my friend had one of the special flatbreads. I highly recommend their special Limoncello after dinner. One area of improvement might be the bar. Early, I decided to sit at the bar for the first time. My bartender was unfriendly in his greeting and during the subsequent order. My drink wasn't as expected and he did not seem happy (angry?) with my request to fix it...."

  • "We decided to go back to Bobby's after having a bad experience when it first opened. They have made great changes to this place. From the food to the service, it was great. I will say we have a slight problem with the food, but the manager saw what was going on and came to the table resolved the issue in a timely manner. It nice to see the manager working the room, unfortunately you don't see that to often in restaurant these days. I'm glad we came back. We will become regulars."

To my surprise the waiter brought out a piece of tiramisu for my husband, the only thing I will say is that I didn't say anything to anyone, but he saw the birthday gift and brought out dessert with a candle. Nice touch."

My wife is very picky eater, but the waiter was patient and took his time to make sure he had the order right. The food arrived hot and on hot plates. I had the skirt steak and my wife had the veal, you could tell they were using quality products. We will be back many times. This is our new favorite place in Deerfield."

  • "First and last visit! We were put in the back room next to the emergency exit and then people were put right on top of us. We couldn't even enjoy our own conversation let alone hear anything! The main dining room wasn't full when we got there. I would have filled up the main room first and put the overflow in back. The waiter was fine and the food was okay but won't go back."

  • "This was our second time at Bobby's and if anything it was even better than our first outing there. The specials seemed a little more exotic in origin and they were just as delicious. The waitstaff is very professional in that they function together seamlessly. They are also helpful and friendly. My spinach fettuccine was newly made with very fresh spinach as evidenced by its rich color and taste. The appetizer was a salad which included small pancakes from indigenous North American and Latin American grains and vegetables. The carrot cake garnered the approval of my wife, a true aficionado. We will be returning to Bobby's: We made our next reservation on the way out."

  • "We were a group of 8 on a Saturday night. After receiving one small loaf of bread, we asked for more & received one more loaf, although the busboy first removed the bread (not understanding our request). When 2/3 was eaten, he removed the bread & we weren't asked if we wanted more. Our waitress disappeared for long lengths of time, & we weren't asked about taking our order or if we had questions until 45 minutes after we were seated. Hard to tell if it's a waitstaff issue or she simply was overworked.Two of our party went to use the restrooms- they were out of order. When we asked our waitress, she shrugged. Only upon leaving did we discover restrooms in a neighboring vacant building were available. Noise level made conversation impossible"
