A word from Bobbys Deerfield
Bobby’s Deerfield is based loosely on our other location Café Lucci which we have developed over the last 17 years. Similar to Café Lucci, Bobby’s Deerfield will serve as a true neighborhood locale, marked by our signature personal service and unmatched friendly atmosphere. However, Bobby’s Deerfield will be a more casual eatery, completely accessible in every way. Reminiscent of the iconic, nostalgic neighborhood restaurant of yesteryear, Bobby’s Deerfield will bring graciousness back to dining out, in a simple way, by turning out the best product and best service.

Diner Reviews
  • "They are not willing to substitute ANYTHING!!! No children's menu. Good eggplant parm. Good Bransini."

  • "The restaurant was so crowded that instead of opening up the back room for more tables, tables were squeezed in a long row in the center. As there was no room for busboys to move, multiple times they carried chairs over our heads (while we were seated) and banged our chairs while we were sitting. When complaining to the manager, he said he had seen it but he didn't stop them until we complained. The manager brought over free desserts, but didn't ask us what we wanted. So the selection of desserts was not even tasted by some of our party. Of the desserts, 2 were heavy with nuts (which tasted like dry paste). A dining experience in the suburbs on a Sat night should be impeccable given Bobby's prices and on par with dining in the City."

  • "Four couples ate at a round table which was fairly comfortable. The restaurant was loud, but quieted down as the evening progressed. Had an outstanding waiter. The food was very good."

  • "Very well trained staff, from the front of the house, bartenders, and servers. Good quality food."

  • "We have dined at Bobby's at least half a dozen times and have never been disappointed with the service, food, or ambience. Our appetizers of sausage and peppers and crabcakes were fresh and flavorful, and My wife and I had whitefish that was moist, succulent, and perfectly seasoned. Our dining companions had chicken and pasta entrees for which they had high praise. Last but not least, our server - Julian - was very congenial and well-informed about the menu My tiramisu and my wife's coconut sorbet both popped with flavor. We will return time and again in anticipation of a fine meal."

  • "We were celebration birthday and mentioned it in the reservation. No one acknowledged that, not saying about offering a small piece of cake."

  • "This place is always packed when I am here. Now I see why. The hosts are there to greet you with a smile and the bartenders make you feel very welcome. The food is very good. I ordered their salmon dish with quinoa and vegetables. As the night progressed more and more people came in. I didn't know there was a patio as well. I will come back here again."

  • "My first time here, after my date kept raving about a terrific tomato soup. We went on a sunday and had a surprise, no tomato soup. 2 minutes after we mention to the server that we wanted that soup, the manager Ana showes up, gives us her card and says with a cute accent ' next time you come in and want the soup just call me'. How can i not go back? Everything was wonderful!!!!"

  • "We enjoyed our dinner very much and had excellent service. This is our third time at the restaurant and fortunately, it was not noisy on a Sunday night! Why did the hostess try to put us at a table by the window - but - the only table in front of a post - when all the others were empty!"

  • "The food was wonderful. We really liked the new menu. Much better than the old one. Chicken vesuvio was perfect. We will look forward to returning again soon."

  • "We were a bit disappointed that the size of the mussels were very small. Also the beet salad seemed smaller than we had experienced in the past at Bobby's. They did make excellent Martini's"

  • "I thought this was going to be an upscale bar, but it is actually a very nice restaurant. We went on a thursday night and it was so crowded, we had to wait a good 30 minutes for our reservation. Normally, this would be completely unacceptable to me, but there were seats at the bar and it is so unique to find such a hopping place in the burbs, I didn't mind. The wine list is good and the food is really great too. I wish there were more vegetarian options, but that is really my only criticism. The service was good and attentive and it was a very comfortable place to sit with friends. Recommended!"

  • "So much to say about this restaurant. We never had a bad meal here and every time we went the place is packed.Their wine list is outstanding. Anna is a sweetheart, always remembers us and making sure we get great service. Her recommendations always hit the spot, and for that we will always go back."

  • "Food was average as was the service. For the price was expecting a lot more."

  • "We always love going to Bobby's. The bar serves a wonderful drink (ask for the big ice cube) and the food is prepared to perfection. I highly recommend this gem of the North Shore!"
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "The menu sounded great, the restaurant is nicely decorated ... but we were disappointed with the food. The mussels were microscopic & some shells completely empty, the crab cake seemed to have too much filler and was served with a weird sauce on top, the cesar salad was dull & too dry (every other place with an unsuccessful version seems to overdress it). Nice wine list, but the food just didn't hit the mark. Our server was very attentive. It's a shame."

  • "Bobbys is quite a bit noisier than I generally prefer. However, the food is excellent and the service is top notch. The wine/drink list is extensive, although my party are not drinkers so I can't attest to its notability. I highly recommend the Pineapple Sorbet!"

  • "Their 10 oz hamburger of brisket and short rib was tasty and the fries were good too. the Veal picatta was lemony and an ample portion. The best thing on the table was the garlicky spread for the fresh bread. the worst thing was the prices."

  • "Overall the food at Bobbys Deerfield was good. Their calamari appetizer had great flavor, but was soaked in sauce. The foie gras did not look appetizing and had to send it back; it was rather hard to find it underneath the sauce. On a better note... The main entrees were delicious, particularly the fettuccini arugula and Bobbys burger. Our waiter did not provide the best service; he was not personable and was very scatter-brained. In the middle of taking our order he looked over at another table, told us to hold on and left to take care of them...very odd situation. I would give Bobbys another chance because the food was good, but hope for better service in the future."

  • "I've been going to Bobby's since shortly after they opened and the quality has been consistently excellent-fresh food, well-prepared and presented and very tasty. This is the best restaurant in Deerfield."

  • "This was the second time I had been to Bobby's. The first we experienced terrible service, with a rude server and ended up havng to speak with the manager. This time, our server was very pleasant, but inexperienced. My wife asked for some things not directly on the menu to accommodate her diet, but this seemed like too much trouble. Food was good, but not as good at their sister restaurant in Glenview."

  • "We.ve eaten here more times than I can count and always love it, our table was waiting for us in a favorable location. The appetizer sausage and peppers were delicious. I wish they'd offer this on a sandwich on their spectacular bread. We split this and still had enough to make a sandwich ourselves at home the next day. Our salads were delivered together promptly and fresh and bountiful as always. The veal pancetta is always a standout as was the gnocchi ragu. Their coconut banana cake is luscious and the house made limoncello a great finisher. We love bringing out-of-towners for dinner proving great food, service and ambiance are available in the suburbs! Also, love it when Bobby stops by. I'd like to see more veal choices on the menu."

  • "Have been meaning to go but it is always crowded on weekends. Went for my Birthday and it was outstanding. The food was great as was the service. They go out of their way to try and make you something new if you want to modify the specail. They treated me to the best Tiramisu I ever had as a gift. Best stuffed pork chop since I left Ft. Laud 15 years ago. Will go back for sure. (ok a little pricey)"

  • "I came here for lunch and was immediately accomodated. They always remember me and asked what I'm hungry for. I was a little uncertain of what I wanted so the chef came out and took care of me. Salmon with quinoa. AWESOME!!! This by far best non chain restaurant in the area. "

  • "This was our first time at Bobby's and we were not disappointed. The filet mignon and shrimp special, the rigatoni with filet tips in a bleu cheese sauce, the veggie penne pasta and the eggplant parmigiana were outstanding, great taste and presentation. Tried the zucchini and quinoa appetizer, that was great, the burrata was good, but nothing special. For dessert, the sticky toffee cake (with gelato on top) was the favorite, the banana coconut pie was good, but not as good as the sticky toffee cake. Service was top flight, water and iced tea were continually filled and the waiter was attentive but not intrusive. And he was very personable and made the evening enjoyable. Will definitely be back. "

  • "This was our second visit to Bobby's. Our first visit was last fall with a good dinner on the patio. The main disappointment this time was our pasta main course. I had the pasta with shrimp chipotle and my husband the penne primavera. The chipotle pasta was strange...it actually had a sweet, glaze on the pasta which did not meld well with the tortilla strips or over cooked shrimp. The tiny bits of asparagus were barely cooked. Just odd. The pasta primavera was boring. We probably won't be visiting again."

  • "Bobby's space is attractive, the prices are very reasonable, the service was very friendly yet professional. But the food was just ok. I believe it'sit's the sameI owners as Cafeto Lucci (which has excellentto pasta dishes!). While I wouldn't rush back, , I wouldn't refuse to go back. I be"
