Accomodations were good, and tucked away from the main dining area in a semi-private section. The food was good, but not as well as I had heard of a Bobby Van's. Had never been to one before. The meal were good and hearty, but not really anything special. I'd say slightly above average. The service was good and timely. Could sense that downtown area was still not what it once used to be. Made it seem ho-hum but in truth the food was great and the service was excellent. I was just a pain to get to from Jersey but since we had an event to go to right next door it was a no brainer... Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and the service was superb. Wine bottles were all half off, the New England Clam chowder was the best I've ever had, and the mashed potatoes and broccoli were a delight.
