Bobby Van's Grill - 50th StreetSeverely disappointed. theSeverely disappointed. the food was average at best. dispite high prices the food did not measure up. Service and atmosphere was average also, although waiters were very attentive, they waited six feet from guest tables taking away any sense of privacy. He described the burger as being 16 oz., and while it was sizable it was maybe 10 oz. My selected another meal to avoid the huge burger he described. I got one with gorgonzola and bacon and it was great but I was realy taken back when I saw they charged me $3.00 extra for the gorgonzola on my $25.96 burger! Still it was a VERY GOOD burger. so I would go back and eat one again but get another waiter for sure. Also, this restaurant has no ranch salad dressing. My strip steak was darn near perfect but the hash brown potatoes OMG! Our waiter was John, he was not only a true professional, his menu recommendations were perfect. Our dinner arrived at our table as he recommended, cooked to our likings and tasted delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant just added to a great evening experience. John and the other staff were friendly, professional and attentive throughout the evening.
