  • "Quite disappointed. The atmosphere is "basic bar". No drink menu was offered so we could only choose beverages from the food menu; however, the sangria was delicious! We were offered only 1 piece of their famous cornbread each - not unlimited like other reviewers had suggested. Had to send my prime rib back as it was too rare. Good service - manager checked with me after to see if the prime rib was better (it was) but the food was nothing terrific - maybe my spouse and I are just spoiled by Alberta beef. It was noisy and we felt rushed by staff throughout our meal. In addition, when I booked the reservation I specifically stated that it was for a birthday - but there was no acknowledgement made. Will not go back - just average."

  • "The food here is always excellent, especially the meat. The baby back ribs are easily the best in the valley. I recently had the prime rib which was perfectly cooked. The onion brick is really good with a little "kick". The service has always been good. When we have visitors who like BBQ, this is where we take them and they always love the place!"

  • "Eating the food here is truly an experience not to be missed. From reserving on Open Table to finishing the dessert you will love it! Our table for 5 was ready within 5 minutes. The food was great (ribs and onion rings) and the service was top notch. If you're in Phoenix and have a few days to chose multiple restaurants- add this to your list for the whole family. There are even vegetarian options."

  • "We were told this was the best bbq in Phoenix and they were right. While our waitress was clearly young, she was super attentive and accommodating. We went with our two kids and the moment the fantastic cornbread arrived, it was quiet at our table. The portions are typical bbq place huge and you want to eat everything on the plate. I especially loved the "smoasted" chicken."

  • "Love BBQ and have been all over the US to try it. This joint has some of the best brisket. Pulled pork was great and so was pulled chicken. Best side was the Mac and Cheese. Raspberry Sangrias were delicious."

  • "We spotted the sign from the freeway driving around town. Later in the day it sounded good, so we made our way back to Bobby Q. We were greeted and seated right away. Service was wonderful. Our glasses were never empty. Food came out quickly and the portions were great. I would use open table again and definitely Bobby Q. YUM!"

  • "My family and I have eaten here many times and each time we go Bobby Q's it is always consistently great. We sat at the bar for a couple drinks. The service was excellent and friendly. We were seated in the dining room and had lunch. I ordered the side salad and beef slider. It was wonderful as always. My son in law loves the thick French fries that come in tin bucket with sauce. Yum! Will continue to come again for another great dining experience"

  • "This was totally worth the drive from Mesa area. Our server was excellent both in personality and level of service provided. The menu choices were great to choose from. The cornbread was sweet and yummy. When the food was delivered we were pleased with the healthy portions and wonderful flavors. Leftovers went home to enjoy the next day. The atmosphere was decorated fun and very comfortably -- felt open, not crowded. We look forward to another visit -- soon!"

  • "The brisket was awesome and the baby back rib meat fell off the bones. Sauce was tasty and the regular version was not too spicy. Sides were prepared with great seasoning. Service was flawless though it was not too busy on the weekday night of our visit. Definitely worth a return trip. A bit hard to find so use your GPS."

  • "Rack of ribs cannot be picked-up by the bone because the tender delicious meat fantastically falls off. Obviously slow cooked real BBQ done just right. Sides and service all excellent. Noise level with a dozen small children running amok was too much to hold a conversation at our table. "

  • "Recently relocated from the East coast & my wife and I were looking for a place to eat on a Saturday night. Hopped on OpenTable & found availability at Bobby Q's. We were seated at the side by side booths near the bar which we enjoyed. Our waiter, Justin was awesome. He answered all of our questions regarding the menu, made wonderful recommendations and even provided some info regarding the area. We started off with the Q-Rolls. For entrees my wife had the Smoasted Half Chicken with mac & cheese & vegetables. The mac and cheese is phenomenal. I had the 2 rib combo with the Baby Back & Beef ribs which were both delicious. For sides I had the pecan cole slaw & the roasted corn, both of which were very tasty. We will definitely be returning!"

  • "Amazing BBQ! Our waitress was friendly and told us about the history of the restaurant right off the bat since we told her it was out first time. We ordered the Whole Hog Haven which gives you a great selection of meat and three sides. The roasted corn is amazing as well as the Mac n Cheese and coleslaw. Our parting gift for stopping by... Mini donuts which were freshly made (you can watch them being made as you wait to be seated) "

  • "We have gone to Bobby Q many times and had always had a good experience. This time was disappointing. I made a reservation for 6 for my husband's birthday early in the week. When we arrived, they were running late and indicated that it would be 5 - 10 min before our table was ready. 20 minutes later, they seated a party of 4 at our table thinking it was us. Then they offered us an awful table placed in the isleway. Finally over 40 minutes after we arrived, we were seated. The manager was full of excuses and said the error could not have been helped. I disagree. They did comp an appetizer (1 app for a party of 6?). Once seated our waiter did a nice job. The manager should have been more responsive to the issue."

  • "Went for first time. Nice decoration. Felt like a BBQ place. Server was very nice. My son is a vegetarian and spent some time going over menu with server. After placing order for salad with no bacon, server promptly brought one with bacon on it. Had to be changed. At the end of the meal, server brought a bag of fresh made donuts. I proceeded to eat one and commented on how good it was. Server then said yes, we use peanut oil. I have a peanut allergy. We promptly left to deal with my allergic reaction. Nice place, just make sure you know what you are getting."

  • "We were looking for a local BBQ joint and found it. We had the Hog's Heaven, perfect for the two of us to share. Brisket was fantastic, chicken was smoky and tender and the St. Louis Ribs fell off the bone. Good sides, beans were the best. Would go back for a casual BBQ experience."
