A word from Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom at Universal CityWalk
Share in a one-of-a-kind celebration of music and culture as Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom at Universal CityWalk takes you on a musical journey through the life of the "King of Reggae." Bob Marley’s songs of faith, hope, rebellion, and determination have brought inspiration and joy to audiences everywhere. Working closely with Rita Marley and the Bob Marley Foundation, we have created a replica of Bob's home on 56 Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica. Inside, artifacts, photos, and video clips from his legendary career surround visitors in the open-air veranda and courtyard.
The cuisine features Jamaican-influenced appetizers, entrees and desserts. Some of the most popular items are the Oxtail Stew, the Sun is Shining grilled chicken breast marinated in Jamaican curry sauce, and the Taste of Jamaica appetizer platter featuring veggie & beef patties, mango wings and yucca fries.

My husband and I went out on a triple date to Bob Marley's for dinner. We had a great time, despite the loud music. The food was amazing. I literally ate everything on my plate. My drink was wonderful and the dessert made my eyes roll into the back of my head, I can't wait to go back.

This was the worst food I have ever had. Five meals were ordered and five meals were not eaten. The service was very good. We did not complain because that is how we are, but the waiter just knew. He had the entire bill comped. I can honestly say I would refuse to feed it to my dog. Don't do it.

Hostess wasn't friendly. Waiter friendly but not very enthusiastic. Long weight time on food. My plate was salty and warm in temperature and smaller than expected portion. The rest of my party weren't impressed with their food, it was good but not very authentic or appealing enough for us to come again. Overall we were disappointed. But no regrets. Glad we experienced Bob Marley's.

I ordered Oxtail and rice. The Oxtail consisted of 5-6 huge lumps of tough meat. It actually had more grizzle then meat. The lumps sat on top of under cooked rice. The rice was hard as the meat. There was no seasoning nor juice. My wife ordered Ackee and Salt Fish. The Ackee and Salt fish was not very tasty. The rice again was under cooked. As my wife family is from Jamaica we are use to good Jamaican food. The worst Jamaican cooks I know could have done better. I could not eat my food and threw it away. The music was good and the live band outstanding. I have been to Bod Marley often throughout the years and previously the food was good. They need to bring back the previous chefs!

This was our 2nd visit to Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom, the 1st was 4 years ago. We ate outside in the open air Courtyard Setting. The Menu had changed significantly but still had the Caribbean Flavor. My Wife and I split the Appetizer Sampler "Taste of Jamaica" and the Beef & Veggie Patties were incredible. The Chicken Wings had just the right Spice for my Tastebuds. My Wife had the Oxtail Stew which was a melt-in-your-mouth Taste Treat, and I had the Fish and Yucca which is like Fish & Chips. A Jamaica Freeze Beverage helped it all to slide down. We finished it off with Mango Cheesecake. We ate early before the Crowds and enjoyed extra conversation with our Server. All in all a memorable Dinner at Universal City Walk.

I didn't like the beef patties at all:(, but I loved the oxtail and curry chicken, which I ate from my sisters plates. I loved the drink my waiter suggested, don't remember which drink. Unfortunately, I don't remember my waiter's name either, but he was GREAT! I was there with my two sisters and one of them was celebrating her birthday. The birthday girl flew from New Orleans and my other sister flew in from Texas, then we drove from Jacksonville to be there. The waiter arranged to have a celebratory birthday cake sent out to our table. He made the experience that much more special. I had a great time. We will DEFINITELY be back! #crucianborn #stluciainmyblood #onelove

Food wasn't the best. One of our entrees went back because meat had too much fat. Server was funny and courteous, but didn't have enough background help to be efficient. Atmosphere picks up at night I hope. Restaurant decor was very dated. It really needs a whole new vibe. The band needs to be there for dinner or something to help the atmosphere. Maybe they shouldn't open early? Then, to top off this lack luster dinner with family, we had a small group of couples next to us that were loud and dropping F-bombs repeatedly. How thoughtful! Sorry, never going back.

We chose this restaurant because we purchased the Universal Dining Plan as part of our vacation to Universal Orlando and wanted something out of the ordinary. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our Curry Chicken and Curry Shrimp entrees - very flavorful. Great service, nice Ambiance. I don't recall the noise level, but our infant was able to sleep through most of our dinner and when he stirred, it was not so quiet that we disturbed anyone else. I would certainly return if in the Universal City Walk area again.

The main meal was good. Some type of unique Jamaican veggie (Akkie something) and seafood was excellent. Fondue appetizer not so great. Just weird to have sugar cane and carrots with a cheese fondue. Price was reasonable though. Was pouring rain that night, so outdoor patio was not available. Everyone really had to cram in the bar area.

Overall a good dining experience. Service was a bit chaotic and on the slow side. Manager was busy assisting the wait staff; which was laudable.Don't know if that was down to the place being newly opened? The food was very good; a bit limited though. Very nice ambiance; felt like I was in Jamaica, eating good yard food and enjoying the sounds of live reggae music. Would highly recommend Bob Marley for night out with friends.

I am from Miami and I take my daughter and her friends to this place every year in mid October! It's a tradition for us. We eat there on a Friday night, then on Saturday night we go to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. This year, for my Birthday I decided I wanted to go there for dinner with my boyfriend. We had the greatest time! It was his first time there and he absolutely loved it! He loved the food and atmosphere.

Loved the music.Only cons would be It was kinda warm since it's open to the outside in center. I ordered Jerk Chicken & it was good but if you're not used to spicy food you may want to choose your entree carefully. Would definitely go again!

Visited with myself 40ish female, and my three college age children, whom were also disappointed. This commercial restaurant was far from enjoyable. The food was not fresh, they need a new sound system, I felt like I was in a field with no source of a sound system. I recently came back from Jamaica & they were far more advanced than a Universal Bob Marley restaurant.

My husband and I dined at Marleys on our last night in Orlando. It was a fun spot for date night and the food and live music was great. We ate at Bob Marley before the vibrant live music and late dinner crowds arrived. The service was excellent. There were very few at the restaurant. The food was just average, as were the bar drinks. They did have some good memorabilia, but aside from that, it was just average. I'm sure it's a great nightclub and would use it for that - not as a dining only option.

I'd been looking forward to going to this restaurant. I must say they that I wasn't disappointed at all. I could hear the band playing as I walked to the door and already I started to smile. The ambience was perfect and the band was awesome. Even when the band took a break the music that was played never spoiled the mood. The food was great. Real Caribbean flavors were not watered-down. I had the oxtails and my fiance had the curry shrimp. Yummy! Gender, race, and nationality don't matter when ur in this place. If u love good food, good music, and good drinks you will have a wonderful time.
