This waterfront locale is historically known as the launching site of our country's first submarine, the H.L. Hunley. Poised at the breach between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic, you can enjoy a meal amongst the spectacular sunset views and balmy ocean breezes of the Isle of Palms.     Great reunion with dear friends we hadn’t seen in over 10 yrs. They were very pleased with the selection of restaurant as they are up from Naples FL and are seafood lovers. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the sunset on the porch.

    Made a reservation to sit outside but they sat us inside.. asked to move and then we were seated outside but far away from the windows.. which was annoying because we came for the views. Food was good a little on the small side. Very ok experience.

    Reasonable prices, great food. Loved the collard greens! And the grilled fish! Best place to sit - covered porch on the water. Be sure to head upstairs to roof top bar for an amazing view. Look for the dolphins and pelicans playing in the water.

    The Boathouse is the reason we decided to visit the beach (IOP) for a few days. The food is aways fresh, well prepared, the view is sooo relaxing and the service is always topnotch. And, you have my favorite wine - Raw Bar Vinho Verde (Portuguese "white" wine). Can't find it in the Upstate.
