"I have been to the boat house several times. The food has always been outstanding; however my meal this visit was not up to their usual standards . I had seafood paella which was very bland.....pretty much boiled fish and shrimp on yellow rice....very little flavor or spice. I was expecting a bold, spicy paella."

"Dining at the Boathouse once again proved to be a wonderful dining experience. The potato soup with lobster and asparagus was an outstanding start, and the scallops were carmelized to perfection, tender and sweet. Steak was fabulous, Pork Osso Bucco got raves from the table. Service was extremely attentive. Presentation is beautiful. My fave in RI."

"Food here is always prepared well and service is outstanding. Every table in the restaurant has some view of the water and the sunsets are brilliant. If you want to have delicious food prepared by a top chef then come here. Reservations are almost a necessity during the warmer months as this is a popular spot even on weeknights. The service is always top notch and the manager is attentive. He greets patrons, visits their tables, and checks on their satisfaction throughout the meal. Oh, and by the way, he remembers their names...."

"The service was impeccable! The food was served in a way that it was appealing to the eye and you couldn't wait to taste it. Once you did, you were not all dissapointed!
The attention that the waitstaff and the manager gave to each diner was special. It wasn't a quick how is everything. They actually mingled and started a repore. You felt like friends by the end of the evening.
The view of the Sakonnet River was outstanding before, during and after sunset!"
