Very slow service. It took 30 minutes from sitting down to get the bread served, the restaurant was not even full! Did not provide restaurant week menu. We had to ask for one. Did not recognize our special occasion, though we noted the occasion when the reservation was made. Server took the fork when she cleared the plate for appetizer but did not bring the fork when main course was served. one of us couldn't eat because he had no folk! Took few minutes to finally got server's attention. Food was great, but desserts were not. Service needs big improvement. There are many other restaurants out there in this high price range with great food, but much better service!

After reading all the reviews I was very excited to try Bluewater Grill for restaurant week. What a mistake! We arrived at 6:45 to an almost empty restaurant. Our waitress arrived about 10 minutes later to take our drink order. Well, they ran out of clean glasses so we had to wait another 10 minutes. We tried to ordered the crab cake appetizer but they ran out of that as well. The tuna sashimi and the grilled shrimp lacked any kind of flavor. My husband had the salmon, for the main course which he said was tasty. I had the tilapia which I did not care for. The chocolate bread pudding was the only thing I ate. Extremely disappointing!

Really think this restaurant has improved over time. Had a couple less-than-acceptable experiences early on, but the past couple of years we have been completely satisfied every time we have dined there. My salmon was cooked to perfection. My husband's walleye was great, too. Cocktails are made to our specifications. Overall a great experience.

We had been to this restaurant before when it was The Fish Market. We wanted seafood and we thought we'd try it again since it had been remodeled. The old restaurant was in need of updating and the food was average. Well the updating made a huge difference in the ambiance and the refurbished restaurant is much better than the the old. The seafood did not disappoint either. The cherry stone clams were fresh and flavorful. My wife ordered the seared scallops and she loved them. I had the chopino which was not too spicy and the shell fish cooked in the sauce was done just right. The best part of the evening was our wait staff that took care of our dining needs. Our waitress was excellent and made for a very pleasant evening.

The only reason I did not rate the place 5 star overall is because on another site, it listed it two $$ out of four $$$$. This place is not $$ but a solid three $$$. The food and service are worthy of every high praise and was truly worth the money. I would not hesitate taking the most discriminating person ever to this restaurant.
