  • "As is tradition my best friend and I celebrate our Birthdays each year at Bluestone. We consistently order the Crisfield Seafood Stew for $14 which is without fail always excellent. This year we also tried the Lobster, Shrimp and Crabmeat Salad for $23. It was good but not the same value and quality of the stew. I love that your hostess' always open the door with a big smile and greeting. Everyone is pleasant and accommodating. I really never had anything I didn't like or wasn't properly prepared and I have been going to Bluestone for at least 8 years"

  • "A Sunday evening dinner. We has a crab cake (spouse's favorite) and barbecued ribs. Interestingly spiced ketchup for the fries. Fine choices. Good local beer and wide wine selection. Of course great dessert - key lime pie really good. Kristen, the waitress was great, helpful, cheerful and prompt."

  • "Bluestone's website caught my eye, modern & easy to navigate, sophistocated menu, & easy reservations through Open Table. Driving past the deluge of chain restaurants into an industrial looking area, we began to think we were misled. The moment we stepped through the doors it was obvious that we had been transported to an upscale, modern Chesapeake Bay establishment that you'd find in Annapolis, St. Mary's, St. Michael's and the like. Service was impecable, the crab topped fried green tomatoes a perfect start, Crisfield Stew was choc-full of seafood & comparable to the finest authentic Mexican Mariscos Soupas, Crab Cake & Filet a perfectly flavored & portioned surf & turf dish. Took home the PB Mousse & fully enjoyed it the next day!"

  • "As I made my way to Bluestone (using my GPS navigator), I initially thought my navigator was malfunctioning as I went down Aylesbury Road, as it seems more of an industrial area vs. the kind of location you would expect to find an upscale restaurant. That just made my experience at Bluestone more of a very pleasant surprise. The sea bass was awesome, and the service provided by our waiter was perfect, with a well-timed sense of humor! The experience was 100% enjoyable."

  • "My husband, son and I had dinner at Bluestone last week. I was excited to go back since my husband and I were there a few weeks ago and it was excellent. The service was good, my husband's soup and burger were great and my son's shrimp tacos were great, his crab fritters were just Ok and not something we'd order again. I was disappointed in the seafood salad. Apparently this was back by popular demand from last summer. Beautiful lobster tail and claw, shrimp and crab meat on a bed of greens covered in too much mayonnaise and a weird combination of sparse and not very tasty melon and a bunch of grapes that were very sad looking and shouldn't have been on the plate. A good concept but needed attention..."

  • "I should have ordered the shrimp salad- it's always excellent! But this time i decided to try something different, so I got the Health Nut salad. It sounded great on the menu- scallops, apples, dried fruit, blueberries, etc. Yum! But when I saw it, I was disappointed. For one thing, it was small- almost like an appetizer! The fruit was cut up so small, one couldn't make out what it was! Everything was diced to death! There were 4 decent, though slightly undercooked, scallops. The greens were sort of parsley-ish, but it was the fruity stuff that was the problem. There were 2 blueberries on the salad, and the rest of it was unrecognizable. I learned a lesson- stick with the shrimp salad!"

  • "As usual, an excellent dining experience (second visit this week). Relatively recent appetizer, heirloom tomato with watermelon, an avocado basil purée and pecorino, was beautifully presented and totally refreshing to the pallet. Signature Bluestone Salad, crisp and crunchy. Fried green tomatoes piled with lump crab, perfect for lunch. Tasty grilled salmon was complimented by a delicately dressed salad with capers. Our group of three completed lunch by sharing a chilled slice of tangy, not too sweet key lime pie. No disappointment here!!"

Wine was good, too. The waitress did not rush us, and we were able to chill after dinner to enjoy our drinks, and each other's company. We will definitely visit again!"

  • "We have been eating here for a few years now. It never disappoints. I usually get a fish dish, since they are known for their outstanding fish preparation. But this time the rib dinner caught my eye on the menu. When I questioned the popularity of the ribs before making my decision our waitress Jill told me they were great. She was correct! And she was also a wonderful server. Thanks Jill!!They were moist and delicious and I can't wait to go back for more. My husband loves the shrimp tacos and the ahi tuna appetizer. With so many choices of restaurants out there, this place has stayed true to their high quality of food and customer service. We appreciate that!"

  • "When I made the reservation for dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday, I made a special request for the quieter area of the restaurant. It was a Wednesday night and they could not accomodate that request, even though it was made several days in advance. We had difficulty having a conversation because of the noise. The food for everyone was good. However, my asparagus were slightly tough and I didn't like the whale crab dish that I ordered. The crab dish was probably good but I was trying something new and it just wasn't my "cup of tea." Our waitress, Kristen, was excellent."

  • "Our party of five had an enjoyable experience. My sister had eaten at Bluestone before, but it was the first time for the rest of our family. The service was good and food okay but... I ordered the steak (medium) & crabcake. I thought that the crabcake was excellent but the steak was undercooked a bit. I guess that I should have ordered medium well. On of my brothers ordered the Crisfield stew, which looked delicious and I will have that the next time I visit."

  • "Bluestone never misses on delivering a great meal! From our steak to fish to thoughtful kids' dishes, each was prepared very well. The ambiance was great. Special note: Bluestone is extremely well prepared for GLUTEN-FREE dishes with a wide assortment, even accommodating dishes not on their gluten-free list. PS Don't pass up the creme brulee."

  • "Over all the restaurant was fair. Food arrived lukewarm and the Maryland and cream of crab soup was way too salty, so were the garlic mashed potatoes. Steak was prepared appropriately but not seasoned well. Crab cakes were good. Maybe its was a fluke because people who have gone love the place. Just my experience I guess."

  • "Bluestone was a wonderful place for dinner. It is tucked away in an area of small businesses and very light industry buildings. The service was top notch, very attentive without being overbearing. The crab cakes were lump crab with no filler and were delicious. They were accompanied by a corn pudding that was creamy and just a touch sweet, and steamed asparagus that was tender but not over cooked. My husband had the filet and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. We would absolutely go back again."
