The calamari appetizer won't win any innovation awards, but it was crisp, lightly floured and the sauce works. My stuffed swordfish was very nice- moist and tasty. Her Catalan Sea Scallops were super fresh, nicely seared & a generous portion. The only quibble was that the kitchen had been a bit heavy handed with the salt on this one. We are partial to Chilean Sea Bass, and we each had that for an entree. For an appetizer, we had the fried green tomatoes and tenderloin carpaccio. I also enjoyed a small Bluestone salad which has mixed greens, candied pecans, grape tomatoes, warm, brown-sugar coated bacon, and a honey-mustard vinaigrette. All of the food was seasoned nicely, arrived hot, and was very tasty and fresh. Our server and wait staff were courteous and attentive. We finished by sharing a warm "blondie" with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup and topped with whipped cream.

It was difficult to make a selection as so many menu items sounded appealing. I had the tuna (delicate and yummy). I shared with a friend who had the scallops (wonderfully seasoned-very innovate) The third in our party had the salmon and was very happy. Oh My! Can't forget we shared the pizza so beautifully prepared. The crust was very crispy and light with delicious yellow and red tomatoes thinly sliced sitting on top of the gently melted mozzarella and Parmesan, then a ribbon of pesto strategically placed to make the dish the perfect choice to whet your appetite. We really had a lovely dinner with perfect non-intrusive service that met our every need. The service was a bit slow and remiss. The waitress failed to present the specials and did not bring bread to the table. She was also slow in responding to our needs. The place was very busy and she seemed to have more tables than she needed. I hope this was a one time occurence. Over,all we were very pleased. The Hothouse tomato and cucumber salad was excellent, and the crab-stuffed swordfish, superb. My wife found the mahi-mahi a bit spicy but otherwise delicious. Her brother and his wife, visiting from out-of-town, loved the crab cakes in their surf & turf combinations, and found the filet of beef well-prepared also.
The wine, a German Riesling, was a bit pricey, but a good accompaniment for the seafood. Previous reviews said the service and food were great, and I would agree with both of those assessments. The server was very attentive and made sure we had everything that we wanted or needed, and she took pride in serving us while we were celebrating our anniversary. We happened to be there on a Tuesday night, when selected bottles of wine were half price, making the meal more affordable. The only drawback is that the dining room is not well separated from the bar area, which the noise level can be described as "energetic" in the above survey question.
