Amazing foodThe food is amazing and they use quality ingredients. The cream of crab soup is, by far, the best.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's DayTypically I don't care for restaurants on special occasions because the quality of food and service goes down - they are too busy. But Bluestone did a great job on Mother's Day. Our food was excellent, the service was good and we got our reserved table right away. It was a tad chilly, but they did turn down the AC for us.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day gemMy mother and i loved the terrace room and we both enjoyed our meal. Service was great. We will surely return again5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day TreatMy husband and mom really enjoyed the experience I call Bluestone. I'm glad I chose this place for such a special day5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious and beautifulMy sister and I took my mother out to dinner for Mother's Day and we were all very satisfied and agreed we'd love to come back. Since it was Mother's Day, things were a bit hectic it seemed (our food took a little while to come) but once it arrived everything was delicious! Thank you!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother'Day at the BluestoneI was impressed by the size of the building and the many choices of dining rooms. The food was magnificent and the portion sizes were appropriate. We thoroughly enjoyed the dessert which was ample enough to share.
The service was a bit slow and remiss. The waitress failed to present the specials and did not bring bread to the table. She was also slow in responding to our needs. The place was very busy and she seemed to have more tables than she needed. I hope this was a one time occurence. Over, all we were very pleased. It was our first time dining at the Bluestone, but it will not be our last and we will share this gem with our friends.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat seafoodI had a major new seafood find last Saturday. My first ever taste of Greek Bronzini (aka Mediterrean Sea Bass was absolutely fabulous especially due to the chefs preparation. Thanks for a great new experience. My spouses crab cakes were great as usual5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodGreat food - the fresh seafood is fantastic but you need to have patience for the wait service. As long as you are not in a hurry, this is the place for great seafood and nice ambience.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent seafoodWe have dined at Bluestone numerous times over the years, often for special occasions or with out-of-town visitors, and the seafood here has always been delicious and well-prepared and presented. The Hothouse tomato and cucumber salad was excellent, and the crab-stuffed swordfish, superb. My wife found the mahi-mahi a bit spicy but otherwise delicious. Her brother and his wife, visiting from out-of-town, loved the crab cakes in their surf & turf combinations, and found the filet of beef well-prepared also.
The wine, a German Riesling, was a bit pricey, but a good accompaniment for the seafood. Our table was near the bar area, which was loud enough to make conversation a bit difficult during our meal.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA long-time family favoriteMy family has eaten at the Bluestone many times over the past 10 years, and always enjoyed it. The menu offers lots of variety, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Dining experienceThis was the first time that my wife and I were seated in the glass enclosed patio. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the patio was quite charming. The flowers I ordered were on the table and my wife absolutely loved them. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a wonderful dining experience.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebrating an AnniversaryI looked for a nice restaurant in Timonium and Bluestone Seafood Grill came up in the list. Previous reviews said the service and food were great, and I would agree with both of those assessments. The server was very attentive and made sure we had everything that we wanted or needed, and she took pride in serving us while we were celebrating our anniversary. We happened to be there on a Tuesday night, when selected bottles of wine were half price, making the meal more affordable. The only drawback is that the dining room is not well separated from the bar area, which the noise level can be described as "energetic" in the above survey question. It made conversation a little more difficult, but the dining room had a nice atmosphere.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AM5 Stars! We have enjoyed coming to this restaurant for years. The food is always delicious, the service is excellent and the restaurant has beautiful and inviting atmosphere! 5 STARS!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThanks for a great meal..Excellent food. Our culinary guide Michelle was superb. Open table reservation was easy and right on time. This is a very busy and large restaurant with great fresh fish. Deserts were excellent. Our only caveat, and we've seen it before, even warned our waitress : food will come out before you finish the salad. For some reason they have a very fast line from kitchen to table. We sent ours back, told the owner, and apologies given. A bit annoying, when we warned them up front. The waitress was excellent. Always a fun tasty meal. thanks! Mark4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot for a birthday lunch!!!Food was delicious and the $33 special was a great deal4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great meal at BluestoneWe had a great meal at Bluestone and go there often. The overstuffed sandwich is great with crab meat and shrimp salsad. The fried green tomatoes are out of this world! It is my favorite thing on the menu by far! The sweet potatoe fries are perfectly crisp.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always food and serviceAs always food and service were delicious. Never disappointed when I bring friends to dine.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had dinner here beforeWe had dinner here before we went to Magooby's Joke House, and had a very good experience. The Ahi Tuna and Scallops were great!! The bread and crab cake were also very yummy. The service was good as well and we will be back!!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a pleasant surprise! What a pleasant surprise! We were greeted by our wonderful server, Brenda. She was patient, friendly and most helpful with the menu. We started with the seafood dip. It was wonderful, bubbling hot but the pita chips, no so much. Very greasy. We used the hot bread that was served. There was a Halibut special, but I asked if I could have it just grilled with asparagus. It was perfect! Served healthy and hot. My friend enjoyed the Shrimp salad boat. No room for dessert! If you go ask for Brenda!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been to this restaurantI've been to this restaurant 3 times in the past month (lunch and 2 dinners)and I am always pleased with the food and service. Everyone loved their meals and cannot wait to come back and visit.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place to celebrateA great place to celebrate the birtday of a special friend---all was good from beginning to the end4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA home run on many levelsWow... Crisfield stew is real winner! Perfectly cooked chunks of seafood in a subtle and complex broth. The plump and tender mussels were an especially welcome touch. The portion size was generous enough to provide a scrumptious lunch the next day. The Battle Creek oysters on the half shell were tender and deliciously salty starters and I will order 12 instead of 6 next time. Good bread and butter and generously-large drinks were some other details which struck us as well done. Key lime pie and creme brulee, both good examples of their kind, topped off this fine meal. We'll be back!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVery enjoyable for our partyVery enjoyable for our party of 4. Just recently enjoyed for party of 9.consistant food & service4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMfirst time at Bluestone. Foodfirst time at Bluestone. Food was outstanding. Loved it!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great wine.Great food, and wonderful environment. Was happy to be seated in the back room where it was quiet, if we had been put in the main dining area it would have been a little difficult to enjoy a quiet conversation. Otherwise, great place to eat.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood quality, good service,Good quality, good service, good value. Welcoming.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and ambience very good.Food and ambience very good. Noise level from the bar a distraction.
Also suggest that the severs be given name tags.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMI go to Bluestone very oftenI go to Bluestone very often and I always have a great experience. We go there on a regular basis.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBluestone fare- tasty and freshExcellent service, delicious top notch fresh food, had a filet and crab cake platter- came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everything cooked to perfection.... Had cream of crab soup- hubby had md. crab soup. Topped off with key lime pie... Only complaint they charged us to $ 4 to split the shared plate and didn't tell us. Restaurant was hopping- very crowded on a Sat. nite but looked like they had a humongous party at the bar... The manager came over and asked how we enjoyed the meal.... Nice atmosphere- I'd come back.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is an Easter traditionThis is an Easter tradition and it never disappoints.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the second time weThis is the second time we have visited the restaurant. Staff able to keep up with volume and kitchen didn't miss a beat with plating, presentation, and quality.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMBluestone is our "go-to" favoriteBluestone is our "go-to" favorite restaurant and it never disappoints!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGood But Usually GreatFood was very good but the size of the tuna serving was noticeably smaller than usual. Quality was excellent but 3 in the party ordered the tuna and all had the same comment. In addition, the vegetable medley that came with the tuna was colorful but not as good as the asparagus or broccoli that usually comes with the dish.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMwe had another great experiencewe had another great experience at Bluestone! The restaurant accomodated our party of 6, with no problem. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was awesome.
We'll go back!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of our faves!Bluestone is one of our "neighborhood treasures" if you can call the middle of an office park parking lot a "neighborhood". That said, it is truly wonderful for almost any occasion, from a ladies lunch to a hot date to a business meeting. Great bar (w/tv screens), nice wine list and enough choice by the glass, comfortable chairs or large booths, and remarkably consistent good service. Great menu includes small plates, "light fare" (which is in no way "light", but more like traditional bar food: burgers, salads, sandwiches), a large selection and varied preparation of fresh fish and beef. We've been regulars since it first opened, and we still enjoy each visit.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were excellent and the place had a good vibe for a Sunday night. They were able to accomodate our party on late notice and it was a great evening. Recommend the thai calamari and the crab stuffed flounder was excellent. The meal could have been a little hotter but small critique for an otherwise excellent experience.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMHas a private parking lotHas a private parking lot that is monitored. Very large restaurant with a large selection of seafood, drinks, beers and wines. Great restaurant!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMHave never had bad experienceHave never had bad experience at Bluestone. Took our children there for the first time and they loved it!!!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThey are known as a greatThey are known as a great seafood restaurant, and they truly are that. A hidden surprise is that their 8oz. filet mignon melts in your mouth and is very tasty, served with garlic and parsley mashed potatoes and a wonderful green vegatable.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMvery nicethis was a very nice place to dine my wife and i would be back3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGood service... Good food...Good service... Good food... I would like to see the appetizer menu change... There weren't any specials on Saturday night!!!!!!Love the place... Will continue to go3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentThe food was fantastic; we had the Crisfield Stew and the Rockfish. There is a small selection of reasonably priced wines; we had a South African wine called Barista that was on the heavy side for a Pinot Noir, but deliciously rich with espresso, caramel and a hint of berry and I would buy it again in a minute. We sat just off the bar and it was a bit loud - I know there are other, quieter tables. Service was very good – we had multiple staff members check on us.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
