A word from Bluegrass
Bluegrass is a casual restaurant located in Highland Park. With a cozy setting nestled into the west side of town it is a true destination dining location. Complete with a warm friendly bar and an American flare, Bluegrass blends in a little Southern influence into its repertoire. The wine and beer selections are all American, along with a full back bar, all hand selected to echo the quality of the fare. Check our website for all of our special events. Yes it's the brisket, but it's corned then smoked; not the least bit dry and amazingly flavorful. They smoke all their own meats so try the ribs, etc. too. Worth your time to go here."

If I were to tell you I would tell you that the food is amazing, my favorites include "real" gumbo, to sea bass, to risotto to ribs, and then there is dessert, or I could tell you about how my son loves being challenged by the one pound burger, but then I would want to tell you about the great the people running this amazing but quiet by today's standard restaurant and next thing you know there will be a line out onto the street at my favorite neighborhood gem...So I just think I will keep this to myself."

What a treat the meats are as they are prepared slowly and so tasty. I love the beans and peanut brittle too. We try to order something different each time we go there and are never disappointed. This visit was fun as it is Mardi Gras time and of course this restaurant celebrates that with some free beaded necklaces. Fun stuff."

  • "We spent NYE with friends at Buegrass. What a great time. Food is out of this world. My favorite is the talpia and they never have a problem preparing it to my liking. Owners are very hands on and make frequent stops along the evenng to make sure you everything is to your liking. The place to go on weekends, speial occasions or a week day to feel like your home."
