BlueFin Japanese RestaurantBest Sushi I've had!!This place was awesome! Loved the decor and ambiance. The waiter was friendly and polite. But most importantly, the food was amazing!!
A little warning for people like myself who can't do spicy food well. Some of their rolls were spicy and not labeled as such on the menu. It's probably best to ask.
I had made a reservation for this place and they had it ready early and labeled for me before I walked in. It is a small place so getting a reservation would be important on the weekend but there was hardly anyone there on a Tuesday night. They had this awesome bar/lounge scene behind the booths that I would definelty come back to explore.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMBlue Fin is a Neighborhood WIN!BlueFin's food, service and indoor atmosphere call for a full house EVERY night, but especially on a Friday night. It could be a fantastic neighborhood hangout for all local residence!
BlueFin served everything from kid-friendly California Spring Rolls which my daughter, (age 9) gobbled down her entire meal. They also serve the exotic plates of Japanese cuisine my husband adores.
Our sushi arrived beautifully displayed, tasted amazing. it arrived in a timely, yet we had the perfect amount of time to enjoy a cocktail or two.

Great place!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Japanese restaurantWonderful Japanese restaurant within a block of the HP Arena. The service was excellent both times we have eaten there. They understand that we needed to make it to the Sharks game and there was no issue with waiting for a course or the bill to be delivered. The food itself was wonderfully prepared with every piece of sushi fresh and flavorful.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent, expensive and loudExcellent meal but quite pricey. New riffs on Japanese with absolutely best fish. Bill came to 250 without drinks for four of us. It should be rated $$$$. So loud before the Sharks game that we couldn't hear across the table but it quieted some once the game crowd left.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had an terrific time. TheWe had an terrific time. The quality of the fish is outstanding, especially the hon maguro that I would travel miles to eat (I traveled 40). The specialty rolls are creative, very tasty, and pleasing to the eye. The service is attentive and genuinely "all smiles." Highly recommended for a special experience.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI went to BlueFin with myI went to BlueFin with my team from work and we all had a blast. The cocktails and food were great and very nicely presented. The restaurant was clean and service was great. There were also not many customers at the time so we did have one waitress nearly all to our table. All in all, BlueFin is a great place for casual and more romantic dining and I was very pleased with my experience there.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat variety and high qualityGreat variety and high quality fish -- and I have very high standards when it comes to sushi.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat sushi close to HP pavillion.Great sushi close to HP pavillion. Fresh fish, good rolls, nice sake sampler3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSuper close to the HP PavilionSuper close to the HP Pavilion and not as overcrowded as some of the other places can get. We went before the Sharks home opener. Food quality was outstanding. Very fresh and well prepared. I got the chefs choice sashimi diner which was a super fantastic selection of way more sashimi than I’d have expected. Service was very good. If you want sushi or sashimi before an event at the Pavilion this is my first choice!1/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
