A word from Blueacre Seafood
Centrally located in downtown Seattle, Blueacre is the quintessential American seafood restaurant drawing upon the vast array of wild seafood available from the United States coastal waters as well as carefully chosen sustainably-farmed freshwater species, oysters, clams and mussels. Blueacre Seafood will feature a full-service oyster bar and in addition to all things aquatic, farm-fresh meat, game, poultry, vegetables and artisanal cheeses. Brushed nickel accents, rich wood panels and warm leather booths reflect Blueacre's American seafood heritage. Classic handmade cocktails are shaken in a comfortable bar, well stocked with American spirits, craft beers on tap and an all-American wine list. Blueacre is Seattle's downtown seafood destination.Continued

  • "Third year I celebrated my birthday at Blueacre - always good food and great service - I would recommend it to everyone. I have only been to lunch but look forward to dinner some time."

  • "We dined at BlueAcre while vacationing in a Seattle. This was, by far, the best seafood restaurant we dined at. The dishes were beautifully created and delicious. The menu had so many great options, it was difficult to pick! Our waiter was helpful and honest with recommendations and we were pleased with our choices. We certainly enjoyed our dinner there!"

  • "We've enjoyed Steelhead Diner in the past so decided to give Blueacre a shot and it didn't go well. To begin, our table was cold and drafty but they were busy and couldn't move us. The mgr nicely stopped by the table to say he'd turned up the heat but everyone kept their coats on the whole evening. Food took forever, and other tables who ordered after us were served 15 min before us. Again the mgr came by to apologize. Appetizers were fine but the kid's meal was supposed to come WITH the apps, not 20 min later. At last entrees: 2 of 3 were fine but my porkchop was inedibly overdone. Another apology. Comped my food & gave the kid icecream. The mgr really did try to help but the whole place just didn't seem up to the rush of a busy night."

  • "Quality of food was excellent; portions generous. Wait service very polite but inattentive. Size of table ridiculous. Table for four better suited for two. Noise level was uncomfortable, making conversation a little difficult."

  • "It was my 2nd time at Blueacre. I had enjoyed my meal there before with a large group (6), so I know the group size was not an issue. The waiter was not going to give us Happy Hour information because he didn't know what time it was. He did though & we ordered drinks & appetizers; then he came to specifically let us know Happy Hour was almost over. Other than seeing him at other tables and bringing the Happy Hour appetizers & drinks, we did not see much off him at our table. We had to call the manager over TWICE! The food was delicious and our water glasses were always filled, but overall our service was dismal. I may go back once I have forgotten how poor the service was this time, but don't count on it. Try Steelhead Diner (same owners)."

  • "Excellent spot for a great dinner before a show at the Paramount. Attentive staff and perfectly prepared fish dishes. Definitely follow the recommendation of the waitstaff - they know what's best."

  • "I'm sure you can improve on salads. Especially for lunch. My salad was too heavy with the avocado. I'm pretty sure that was more than 1 avocado. My friends Beet Salad had so many Beets that we didnt see any greens. She asked for more greens. Way too much Beets. We work nearby and would love to eat at your restaurant more often, but the salads really need some attention. Protein with a salad is very important, so maybe those things could factor in for a healthy meal. Thank you for your consideration. The $20 lunch special is over priced. Who eats dessert? How about just the salad and the main entree for $15-$18? pp"

  • "Three of us sampled the 9 different types of oysters and we thought they were fantastic. The crab cakes, halibut and salmon entrees were great."

  • "We did the dine around Seattle and some people had the cupcake. They said it tasted like butane and was hard as a rock. The other food was good, but not a stand out meal. The staff was friendly."

  • "Two in our party ordered "comfort food": ling-cod fish'n'chips and fried catfish. Both were excellent: moist, perfectly battered and cooked, and moderately priced. Two others ordered a $42 piece of Alaskan halibut strongly recommended by the server - and unfortunately, those were verydisappointing: overcooked and dry. This continues our impression of Blueacre: great for happy hour and the simpler dishes that it (and Steelhead Diner) specialize in; very "iffy" for higher-end entrees, so beware. At $42 and the quality that was delivered, the halibut was one of the more-notable dining disappointments we've had in the past couple of years. One wonders why it's so difficult for a place specializing in seafood to cook a piece of halibut."

  • "The service at Blueacre is always wonderful. We were a party of 6; 2 of our party was a little late and the other 4 of us were headed to the theatre. One of our party ordered a brownie to go so he could get in line at the theatre while the rest of us finished our wine. The waitstaff took it all in stride and was attentive without making us feel rushed. We love to start with oysters and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the varieties featured. The oysters were amazing. The rest of the meal was not as good as we have previously enjoyed here. The steak was thin and a bit overdone as was the fish in the fish and chips. The Red Rockfish was cooked appropriately, but overpowered by the bleu cheese - I should have known better."

  • "Still thinking about the ling cod entree -- cooked to perfection. Tender & flaky on the inside with a flavorful pan-fried "crust" on the outside. The sauce & seasoning enhanced the fish flavor without overpowering. Loved it!"

  • "Went here for the first time with my daughter during Dine Around Seattle for the 3-course lunch. The salad, fish and dessert I had were really good and my daughter was equally impressed by her selections. It's lovely and light inside and my daughter said the bathrooms were also gorgeous. Can't wait to go back."

  • "We actually ended up eating in the bar area as we started off the evening with happy hour. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we decided to stay in the bar and have our dinner. My husband ordered oysters and said they were tasty. We also ordered the cheese platter and the salmon pot and enjoyed them both. The quality of the cheeses were very good. We later ordered the Ravioli and the beet salad. I've never ordered a beet salad that had soooo many beets. We decided that if or when we go back to Seattle we would go back to the Blue Acre. The bar area gets crowded so go early."

  • "Thank U 4 setting a high standard! I always come away satisfied with the desire to return. Your eatery outdoes most downtown restaurants without being pompous. Your servers makes us feel welcome and comfortable. The food offerings and prep are truly wonderful."

  • "We were heading to a play after dinner. The reservation was made with a special note to that effect. We discussed our time frame with our waiter after being seated also. It took an inordinately long time for our drinks to arrive, and then waiter said he would be right back to take our food order. Much more time elapsed before that occured! We were unable to have the dessert which came with the dinner because so much time was wasted. The waiter brought us the wrong check after we were finally able to flag him down---more delays!! The food was lovely--arrived hot, nicely plated, tasted very good. Would not return & would not recommend this establishment."

  • "We went for the dine around Seattle lunch; both the appetizers "coral lentil falafel" and "hot smoked neah bay black cod" are great. We got pretty lumpy crab meat at the later dish (puzzled but delicious). Entree "blackened catfish taco" is fine; cat fish is a bit small and vegetable chilli is way too strong that overpower the nice catdish and gaugamole flavor. "sauteed line caught ling cod" is delicious! Dessert "chocolate pecan pie" did not stand out but the "guava lime sorbet" is great."

  • "The MahiMahi was excellent, cooked perfectly with a nice balance of seasoning. The pecan pie was wonderful, worth every bite. I plan to go back to Blueacre very soon."

  • "My family visited Blueacre as part of Dine Around Seattle. It's a great way to get a "taste" for a restaurant that's new to you. Excellent service throughout the meal!! The falafel was amazing. Light crispy exterior yet moist inside and so flavorful. I tried the Southern Fried Chicken Salad and the chicken had just a tiny bit of bite which added to the depth of the flavor. The salad greens were fresh and flavorful. My family all ordered the ling cod and the presentation was beautiful with thumbs up from each of them. The desserts were unfortunately a disappointment. The Lemon Meringue Cupcake was very dry, except where there was custard. It was close to biscuit texture. Overall, a great meal and we would definitely return!"

  • "I am from the SF Bay Area and wanted to take my mom, a Seattle resident, to a nice dinner that would be culinarily impressive. We had 2 kinds of cod, both were amazing. We had a crab cake that Mom actually liked - most are too bready for her. We had the assorted cheeses appetizer which came with candied walnuts, almonds and a fruit chutney. My mom said the flavors went together perfectly! Service was prompt, informative and accommodating."

  • "Awesome! Went for lunch in the bar and was fabulous! Bartenders very friendly;was a great room. Came back for dinner in the dining room. Wonderful, private, fabulous food. Next night had dinner elsewhere ended up walking over here for dessert. Best dessert choices in the neighborhood at night (and we looked!). This restaurant made our trip!"

  • "Chef Kevin Davis does it right. Having been a commercial fisherman in Alaska for more than 25 years, I'm as big a seafood fan as they come, and am continually amazed at what a great job Blueacre does. I travel a lot and seldom find restaurants anywhere that can match them for their commitment to quality, sustainability and service. Great oysters and the black cod is always amazing!"

  • "Excellent restaurant located in the heart of downtown Seattle close to the Convention Center. Reservation recommended. This place was packed mid-week. Great selection of seafood with generous portions."

  • "We love the way the seafood is prepared here, always something new and delicious. The sablefish is superb, the ling cod and mahi mahi were great this time. The appetizers are so creative, the felafil were amazing, as was the tuna and oysters. We all had different dishes and each was perfect. The desserts, rhubarb tart, chocolate pecan pie were just amazing! Service is great too and yummy bread. It's a great restaurant for locals and visitors to the area."

  • "Came here to try Dine around Seattle, but sat at the bar first waiting till my reservation time. Great Happy Hour prices, and nice selection of food. I only got the chips and salsa...but the oysters looked great! Dinner was good as well, they definitely cook a good fish! and great cooked oyster appetizer."

  • "Service was exceptional and the food was out of this world. 3 different types of local oysters, all great. Razor clam chowder was very good and last of all grilled salmon and a spicy Cioppino that was out of this world. Highly recommend!!"

  • "Enjoyed a delicious Dine Around Seattle $15 3-course lunch (3 choices offered for each course). For appetizer selected the blackened cod atop a small potato pancake with pickled red onions; entree selected the blackened mahi-mahi taco (4 warm tortillas) with refried beans; and for dessert chose a slice of chocolate pecan pie. All courses were excellent and not rushed. A basket of soft bread with butter preceded the meal. Top notch service was provided by Team B A (101)."

  • "Our last two meals at Blueacre have been terrific! Fresh, excellently prepared seafood, nice service. We loved Oceanaire, the previous restaurant at this location. It seemed to go downhill a bit, but has returned to high level, great cuisine. We enjoyed Blueacre very much. Request: Please bring back the key lime pie--it was AMAZING! Thank you."
