A word from Blueacre Seafood
Centrally located in downtown Seattle, Blueacre is the quintessential American seafood restaurant drawing upon the vast array of wild seafood available from the United States coastal waters as well as carefully chosen sustainably-farmed freshwater species, oysters, clams and mussels. Blueacre Seafood will feature a full-service oyster bar and in addition to all things aquatic, farm-fresh meat, game, poultry, vegetables and artisanal cheeses. Brushed nickel accents, rich wood panels and warm leather booths reflect Blueacre's American seafood heritage. Classic handmade cocktails are shaken in a comfortable bar, well stocked with American spirits, craft beers on tap and an all-American wine list. Blueacre is Seattle's downtown seafood destination.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "the food and service were outstanding! our waithelp offered great oyster selection guidance for my teenage daughter who had never tried raw oysters before. he also managed to attentively ensure that our split orders were conveniently served while training a new waithelp at the same time. we had a wonderful dining experience"

  • "Dined here while at a conference at the Hyatt. Service, menu, wine selection were all outstanding. Dishes were all superbly presented and tasted delicious. Our family really enjoyed the experience and the restaurant did a very nice job accommodating our infant son, they had space to store our stroller and a semi-private enclosed room which allowed for a bit more privacy, which was a very nice touch. All in all - a very good experience."

  • "Nice downtown seafood restaurant. Good selection and quality of oysters. Fresh salads. We ordered two roasted beet salads to go with oysters and one would have fed three people. Varied wine selections, but mostly bottles."

  • "The food here is good and service is usually good too; however, today I found service to be lacking. The napkin that I was given on my table had a big thumb print size imprint from wet food or chocolate on it. I had to flag down someone who brought me a new one from a neighboring table. That napkin turned out to be wet with soda or coffee on it (not mine) after I unrolled it. Thus I ended up using the napkin from the bread bowl that my bread was placed on. My diet coke and water glasses were allowed to remain unfilled for 10 minutes with no one noticing. My food came out, but my waiter never ever bothered to check if it came out correctly or if I was enjoying my food."

  • "Seafood restaurants don't usually smell awesome to begin with, but the odor here was unpleasant and musty. When I expressed vacillation between a fish entree and a chicken dish, the waitress immediately said "Go with the chicken"....which doesn't speak well for the food--ever. All 3 of our entrees sounded much better on the menu (and looked much better on the plate) than they tasted. My chicken was actually overdone, and all 3 of us declared the food "okay" at best. I paid an upcharge for a potato dish that sounded like loaded mashed potatoes on the menu, and turned out to be a big, greasy, flavorless hash brown patty with a side of sour cream and a scattering of green onions and bacon bits. The desserts were great. Not going back."

  • "We found this restaurant on the LocalEats app and was not disappointed! We had reservations and were seated right away. The waitress, while busy, was friendly and attentive. The Dungeness Crab & Bay Shrimp Tator Tots appetizer was fantastic. I had the lobster, while my family had a couple of Angry Whole Crabs, cauliflower and clam chowder. All were delicious. During the meal I glanced around the room from time to time and other guests were laughing and enjoying themselves and joking around with their waiters. An all around good end to a packed sightseeing day in Seattle. We highly recommend this place."

  • "We enjoyed our visit to Blueacre! We weren't celebrating anything; we were just in Seattle on vacation. My wife and I both enjoyed the salmon dish with almonds. The service was very good as well; informative and not hovering. Some people might not like the ambience; I have seen other reviews that compared it to a diner. We enjoyed the entire experience, however, and plan to go back when we are in Seattle. I recommend this restaurant if you want some great seafood!"

  • "The seafood is some of the freshest around so definitely worth a stop. Be prepared for the prices which seem a bit high."

  • "Looks like a diner. The seafood menu is pretty extensive. We enjoyed the salmon dish, the crab sticks were delicious, lacking variety of salads; took awhile for out food to come out.. Therefore the drinks were on the house"

  • "Food was delicious but the chef added too much salt to the copper river king n sockeye salmon which needed no salt. We enjoyed it and to be honest told the waiter as an FYI and the chef took the dinners off the bill. Unbelievable. The service was impeccable I would go back many times. "

  • "Was looking for a place to combine a special dinner and and an evening at the theatre (Paramount)....the Blueacre was perfect!!...made reservations...seated immediately...waitress was very attentive and informative...chose the 3 course dinner feature...the food was awesome; portions were perfect...price was good....a great experience and a very nice surprise...will be eating there again on our next visit to Seattle."

  • "Our hotel concierge recommended Blueacre. The ratings looked good. While my Copper River salmon was quite good (though not great), my wife's meal was very disappointing. We were also struck by the lack of shrimp on the menu of a seafood restaurant. Our waitress gave us a lame excuse about shrimp being hard to get in Seattle, which seems not to have been a problem for other restaurants."

  • "Celebrating my Mother's 80th birthday, she was very pleased with the entire evening. The food was wonderful, service great and everyone enjoyed themselves very much! "

  • "Fortunately we live near Blueacre Seafood so are able to enjoy it on a regular basis. The menu always offers interesting and tasty options as well as dependable favorites. You are greeted with a smile and the service is excellent. We have enjoyed it for large family gatherings and for two people. Prices are reasonable and there is a three course fixed price option. Excellent desserts, too. Excellent bar. "

  • "Normally, we give 4-5 stars across the board. This particular night, service was atrocious. We always eat at the bar and this night, one of the bartenders was much more interested in chatting up a party of four drunken 20-something women at the half-empty bar than tending to other customers. At the end of the meal, when we finally attracted his attention for the check, he responded, "Right away", and proceeded to return to his harem for a full 10 minutes before bringing our bill. We'll keep going back to this restaurant because the food is excellent, but we now know which bartender to avoid."

  • "Hosted a 15 person business dinner, food was great, service was great. Only problem we had, was we were seated at a table in the middle of the dinning room without much privacy. Was hard to have conversation with anyone beside the few people beside you."

  • "The Blueacre continues to provide excellent seafood and outstanding service. It is our favorite seafood restaurant for entertaining guests in Seattle or for special occasions. The preparation is always perfect, the fish is always fresh and the portions are just right."

  • "I enjoyed the finest salmon dinner I have ever had. Great for, exceplenty wine, excellent service. It a bit on the expensive side but as they say, you get what you pay for and our money was well spent."

  • "Loved the appetizers - Tuna Tataki and Smoked King Salmon over a Potato Latke. Dessert was good too. Wish the server had told us that there were absolutely no vegetables served with the main course - we would have ordered some on the side. Wish the server had moved faster - a good 15 minutes to get a glass of sparkling wine (husband was halfway through his Manhattan). Wish the server hadn't charged for Maker's Mark when my husband specifically said that he was okay with the house bourbon. What could have been a really nice experience was good, but not great."
