The server was knowledgable and very helpful. The hostesses were also very friendly, would certainly recommend Blue Water Cafe to anyone.12/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent evening....Fabulous seafood meal - fresh oysters and superb sushi, washed down by a delightful Viognier. Attentive service and bustling, lively ambience on a Tuesday.
Definitely will return to this venue.12/3/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a lovely time even thoughI had a lovely time even though i mistook the horseradish for parmesan cheese :)

One of the best in Canada.9/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I visited on aMy wife and I visited on a recent trip to Vancouver. It is definitely THE hot spot in town, or at least one of them. Food and service were both incredible...I told our server that I'd lived in Japan for 4 years, and the tuna belly at Blue Water was the best I'd ever experienced. I highly recommend the place. The only caveat - I thought the wine list was pricier than most - great selection, Blue Water just uses a higher multiple on the markup.9/3/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was my second time there. It was my second time there. The first time there the food was great. But the second time one of the party had sturgeon was over cooked but everything else was great. If you enjoy fine food/good service that's the place to check out.9/3/2013 12:00:00 AMA foodie's dreamThis is a fantastic place for seafood lovers! The fresh oysters are divine, and I've never had fish cooked so nicely - and with such crispy, tasty skin! I'd definitely recommend, but do note it's fairly expensive, and the portions aren't huge. At least you get delicious whole wheat buns with unctuous seaweed butter to start - so fill up on that if you have a hearty appetite.7/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDivine AdventureWe have returned to the Blue Water Cafe almost every time we visit Vancouver because of the fantastic service and the food and drink which is a divine adventure for the senses!7/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNew to Vancouver? Are you new to Vancouver? Are you looking for a great seafood restaurant?
This is a great restaurant no matter the age group. It is versatile.
The food is delicious, some of the best and freshest seafood I've ever tried.
I would definitely recommend trying the sushi, but also try the seafood entrees.
If you're visiting from out of town, or if you're new to Vancouver try this restaurant!7/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperbly prepared fishFish was prepared perfectly, fresh and flavourful. Great service.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Meal and ServiceWe were on a short time fuse and picked Blue Water Café by its location. But this was one of the best seafood meals we have had! Presentation was beautiful, both Sablefish and Sturgeon meals were excellent. Wait staff was courteous and prompt. We will definitely return.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Bluewater was, as it alwaysThe Bluewater was, as it always is, a perfect dining experience. I have always gone to the Bluewater for special occasions. This last visit was for my friends birthday and new job. His first visit and he is sold on returning. We were even treated to a "surprise wedding" that occurred on the patio 2 tables away from us. Proposal, engagement, wedding....all within minutes. LOL As always, I will continue to recommend the Bluewater as being the best restaurant in Vancouver.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday Dinner! We had a perfect evening, everything was FIRST CLASS! The Queen Charlotte Halibut needs to corrected to Halibut from Haida Gwaii ! The Queen Charlotte name hasn't been used for a long time now.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMEXCELENTEXCELENT FOOD, PROBABLY BEST IN TOWN. AMAZING WINE LIST5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful seafoodThe food was terrific. I had local BC oysters and then sturgeon. I wish I had the opportunity to work my way through the menu. The waiter was very knowledgeable about both food and wine.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for couples:Good scene: not too young, not too old. Eating outside on a good day is fun. Good people watching, colorful and interesting neighborhood. Excellent food, good wine list (wine is very expensive in Vancouver compared to high end dining in other cities).5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBest restaurant in Yaletown.I believe this is the best restaurant in Yaletown and is the most expensive, food is great but a little too much MSG, maybe it came from the sauce cos I order Kobe beef ribsteak, overall it's good, you won't be disappointed.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent all round..food,Excellent all round..food, ambience, service friendly and efficient...4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely fabulous food (freshAbsolutely fabulous food (fresh oysters followed by wild Alaska halibut) - washed down with delightful Sandhill Viognier.
