I hesitate to write this because I don't want them to get inundated! I walked by the restaurant many times while shopping at Nordstrom's and never considered trying it. Great food in a department store? Well, it is! The small plates menu features incredibly fresh and flavorful options paired with a good wine selection. Everything is artfully presented and there isn't anything on the menu that isn't amazing. Keep it under the radar, though! It's for special foodies only!

I have eating there before and for the first time I was very disappointed with what we ordered. The Lamb Brochettes w/ Harissa Dipping Sauce. It was not warm and it didn't taste like lamp, I grew up in Spain and the lamp it was instead Spanish chorizo. I asked and no one new the answer, the waiter said it will bring another different plate and we did. That plate never came. The other plate was Lemon Scented Risotto w/ Seared Scallops & French Beans, not warm enough the plate got cold very quickly. The waiter ignore us. I was with a dear good friend and didn't want to create a bad impression. We pay the bill later I realized I was charged with out a discount or anything.

This was our first trip to the Blue Stove, a chain of Nordstrom restaurants. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. He cheerfully accepted our request for separate bills. We chose a variety and recommend the following: the sweet potato fries, the beef cubes with cherry sauce, the skirt steak, the chicken lime tacos, and the lemon risotto. It was a unanimous vote: the Blue Stove is amazing. We all ordered the banana creme brûlée which was well-presented and fairly tasty but not outstanding. Another reviewer has mentioned that the Blue Stove could do with expanding its dessert selection and I agree. The single drawback was the noise level: it was difficult to hear each other speak sometimes. We'll definitely go back, though!

Food was fantastic, service was excellent, and all the little niceties throughout our whole lunch experience went a loooong way. Blue Stove is located inside Nordstrom on the second floor, so if you park in the parking structure attached to Nordstrom (on the second level) you walk straight into Nordstrom, and get to preview all the wonderful lingerie, shoes and designer clothing on your way to Blue Stove. You literally walk in a straight line directly from parking into Nordstrom and up to the Blue Stove Restaurant entrance. Perfect. The ambience is nice, the decor eclectic and rich, and there is bar seating as well. What was great is that my friend and I had a perfectly wonderful experience there:)

Their menu, service and wines are the best and equal to any other fine restaurants you may visit. I highly recommend a visit even if you don't shop at The Oaks Mall. It is worth it!

Had a bad experience the past 2 times. I came in and had an early dinner which was great. About an hour later I received a notification that Blue Stone had cancelled my reservation even though I had already eaten. I called and the hostess assured me she would credit me for my reservation but never did. She even brought to the managers attention who seemed to not care that we had an issue. Not sure what's going on with blue stone and open table but I was really frustrated!!!! Still no credit......this has now happened twice.

Blue Stove is a real gem. The food was excellent and the service was professional without being pretentious. The Tapas selection are many and varied - and all of them, well prepared and delicous! The ambiance is quaint and romantic. Being part of Nordstrom, which is busy and brightly lit, it's such a pleasant contrast when you walk into Blue Oven right off the second floor of the department store. It's like entering a different world. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I'm a foodie and Blue Stove is definitely a dining experience worth repeating!

The tapas were excellent. We had the Braised ribs, lemon scented risotto, lettuce cups and I cant remember the last dish. The risotto and lettuce cups were very tastey. The braised ribs tasted like a roast and it was pretty bland but the meat melted in your mouth. The last dish was a sechuan meat dish with a cherry sauce. It reminded me of a dish we get at PF Changs. It was very good as well. The downside of the place is they only serve beer and wine. A nice martini would have been awesome. Other than that this place was very good. The tapas range from $7 - $12.

Our group of four had several outstanding small plates: the heirloom tomato and buratta salad, the fried green tomato salad, crispy sweet and spicy cherry glazed beef, cilantro lime chicken tacos, szechuan chicken lettuce cups and miniature gnocchi with sweet pea puree were all delicious and big enough to share. Add four nice pours of wine and our tab was only $94. [+ tip] to fill us all up and make us very happy. Highly recommended for food and ambiance ... amazing to enjoy such a great meal inside a store at the mall. Like the foodie terminators we are...We'll be back!

Service is fast but not rushed. It is also a great place if you are alone as it is in the store, so it is not unusual to see single diners.

Decided to stop into Blue Stove for a quick lunch while doing several hours of Early Access Shopping. Found the menu to be a Limited, but interesting tapas one. The olive oil with a few small olives which was brought to the table with a small plate of bread was delicious. Enjoyed the chicken tacos which a Nordstrom sales person had recommended. Despite the restaurant not being very full, the service was somewhat inattentive and I had to seek out server's attention.

Great food, service amd ambiance. Blue stove is on the 2nd floor of Nordstroms. Upon entering there was a nice vibe inside. The warm decor is appealing and we were brought to our table immediately after walking inside. The menu is 1 page from salads to other Items served "tapas style". Yes. You will need to order 5-6 items to feed 2 people. I prefer this because I always want to try different things and this allows you to order 5-6 menu times and get different tastes. Basic soft drinks and iced tea, hot tea and coffee. Good wine choices with no mixed drinks on the menu, but here it's not needed. Wine goes perfect with these items. Great service from the hostess to the server. Tacos, scallops and salad with fried polenta was great.

I've been here about five times and am always struck at how wonderful the food and entire experience is at Blue Stove. There is always something new on the menu but they are sure to keep the favorites, like the cilantro lime tacos. Food quality is exceptional, wine pours are generous, and global variety dominates the menu. Portions are just right when you get about 3 small plates per person. My favorites are the aforementioned tacos, arugula and polenta salad, banh mi, gnocchi, and beet salad. Sometimes they have wine specials, so ask.

This was my first visit to the restaurant. I would say that I found the tapas menu choices interesting and generally appealing.
